Keanu's voice decided not to reach Alan as he stared, dumbfounded. A mixture of emotions rushing across his face; Anger, fear, sadness, hope, happiness, confusion... Just about everything. She dind't answere him.. So, with a confused toddler in his arms, he took a tenative step foreward. "Why are you here?" he asked again, sounding more urgent. And more importantly... "Why were you at D-corp..?" Talia had been there... Unless Arin had saved the child from someone else.
Arin took a step away, biting her lip and looking all around nervious and guilty. She stayed away from his question for the moment, deciding to answere Keanu first. "I'm not bad... When I asked Talia where her mom was she said she didn't have one... I thought.. She was abandoned. Narayan said he didn't have any parents too, i was taking them both to the orphanage." She let out a sigh as she finished.
Everything was clicking now... Talia and her name, her apperance, the dragons...
"You didn't answere me.." Alan reminded, not ready to let the subject go. He looked hopeful.
She looked sad as she started speaking again, confessing to her reason she had been at D-corp in the first place. He wasn't about to give her a choice. "Every year I drive by that building... On the day of our anniversary... And every year it just gets bigger." She frowned at him, stepping back a few more steps. "Why do you insist on playing God?" her voice rose and cracked in a mixture of anger and sadness.
Alan flinched, head rushing full of thoughts, it only managed to land on one. "You still... love me then?" he regretted it as soon as it left his mouth, knowing she'd say the same thing she had before. The same thing that got them divorced...
Those around him had been forgotten. The man that was normally clear, composed, and free of emotion was now showing them in neon lights on his sleeve.
"No..." she said, her voice keeping the same sadness and anger it had before, just softer this time. "You've changed Alan. You're different... It's scary." her voice faded into a soft whimper, turning to head for the van she had come in, giving a few whipes at her eyes.
"Wait!" he paused only to set Talia on the ground, catching up to her before she could make it to the driver's side of the van, grabbing her arm all too roughly.
Arin let out a yelp of suprise, "Let go of me!" her eyes watered more as she tried to shove him off "It hurts..." she whined, finding no avail in pushing at him.
He immediatly let go when he realized he was holding too hard, takign a step back and staring at his less than human hand as though it had betrayed him, before averting his attention back to her when she started running for the van again. "Please, wait!" He pleaded, "Tell me how Talia's doing. Our Talia. How's school? Did she ever get rid of that bully? She must be in high school now.. Does she have a boyfriend, friends? Is she healthy?" He ranbled on all the way til Arin was in the seat and starting up the car.
"Just stop." she paused in closing her door, "Stop... You can't have anything to do with her."
"Please..." With that the door was slammed on his face, and she was leaving. Again. His lip trembled a bit, as he simply stood there staring at the pavement where the van had been.

((Sorry to seem insensitive, but he really doesn't get it. xP Rainbows and sunshine is what love is to Keanu... So yea, the drama that can come with... He'll figure it out later. D: ))
And they lost him. Keanu was still as clueless as ever when it came to how relationships really were. It was still faerie tales and storybooks for him, so the problems between the pair had to be something else. However the woman had stated she wasn't bad, and Alan didn't counter it. Which was good enough for him. The boy didn't really get what was going on save for the fact the problem was resolved... and people were aruging.
About having changed, and not loving people. That was really fickle if she didn't love him just because he'd changed a bit. As for being scary, well... He didn't seem scary to him, but then again this was coming from a woman who had snatched up children to take them off to an orphanage. An orphanage, well that was where kids with no parents went, but he'd said they were taking her to her father. Besides, if someone said they wanted her back obviously she had someone who cared, right? It didn't make much sense to him.
Thus he was sort of just an onlooker taking in the drama was a clueless look on his face. It seemed, however, that his job was done, and Ymir had begun nosing at his leg to add to that. Obviously the dragon was ready to go report back to homebase and leave the theatre to the adults. They weren't exactly needed here anymore, Talia was found, and the other person didn't need punishing. The leopard certainly didn't know what other purpose he had left here. Besides, Raja was likely having a fit by now, it was getting late. He'd have to explain what he'd been doing all day to him, maybe da would be able to explain what was going on.

Narayan stared with morbid fascination at the drama. Wow. Look! Trying to digest what he heard and put away when he didn't. (Booleee?)
But when he heard the voice, he didn't care.
LOOK IT WAS A BOOBIE! AND SHE HAD LONG HAIR!
Narayan beamed a smile, deciding that whatever the big people were doing didn't matter any more. Drama didn't interest him at all unless it involved boobies in tiny costumes, or maybe super heros trying to save the world with laser beam eyes.
So instead he walked up to Ligeia, took and heard and beamed.
"Hug?"

Ligeia's dark eyes widened at the scene that unfolded in front of them, watching as Mr. Rickery and the woman interacted. They seemed to know one another but... it didn't seem as if she wanted to be here, wanted to be away from Alan as quickly as possible. He shook his head confused with what was going on, their words that could have been heard when they were closer going over his head. So he instead turned to the little one.
Little kids he at least seemed to understand.
He gave a flutter of his feathery wings, "Awww!" He murmured, kneeling down and snuggled on Narayan, "Of course you can have a hug." The little one was so adorable!

This time, Niki couldn't resist the urge to go and gently lay a hand upon Alan's shoulder. The poor man. The woman was probably the only other one who had understood the whole ordeal and caught onto most of it. The two older boys didn't seem to understand and the little elephant boy was completely oblivious, it seemed.
The woman glanced at the whole group. Two older boys with their little dragons and the two little kids plus Alan, and then there was Ala and Niki herself. Well, if Alan held his daughter (which was quite possibly the only thing that the man would be doing for a while) and the other four kids didn't mind being a bit cramped and the two dragons stuck in the back, then she could get the whole group back to D-corp. The two dragons looked too tired to carry their bonded children anywhere.

Alan shifted, allowing the woman's words to sink in. He found himself a bit dazed as his own mind argued him.. Optimistic versus Pessimistic. Sure, she came by the corp every year... So she had to have feelings for him.. But at the same time, the most important girl in his life... Talia, his only blood child, wouldn't ever be allowed near him. Arin wouldn't even tell him how she was doing...And that fact, not even knowing of the teen's wellbeing was currently crushing said optimistic side.
He jumped a bit as Niki's hand set itself on his shoulder, looking back at her a bit startled.. which then turned into embaressment. Composure, composure... He swallowed, mouth opened.. then closed. His attempt at composure was failing miserably.
After waiting a moment more he moved back to Talia. His new Talia, atleast. She immediatly lifted her hands, and he scouped her up into his arms. "It's late..." he noted, pausing to turn towards the two preteens. "Uh.. Dismissed. " He waved his hand some, still looking dazed and disoriented. "Thank you..." he mentioned as an afterthought, to pretty much everyone there.
With that he turned his attention to Talia, digging in his pocket before pulling out a key. "You've had a big day... Hows a nice bedtime story sound?" His voice was lifting with the interactions of the toddler, though still sounding all around down. With that, he headed up towards the door and unlocked it with a simple insert and click of his key. With that he stepped inside his house, without another word to the group. He wasn't really thinking clearly... For now, it was call off the search, get talia to bed, and then head to bed himself.
If anyone would look at the old, rusting, mailbox they might notice the name "Rikery"

Narayan beamed and all but launched himself into the new boobie's arms. She was so pretty! And look at those things coming out of her back. They were so pretty too. So he let out a delighted little trumpet/squeal, rubbing his head against...
...
Against a chest. With nothing soft, to cushion his cheek.
Distracted and feeling as if maybe, maybe this would be the most gigantic betrayal in his entire life, he looked up at her, scrutinizing her with eyes that tried to mark the difference. Boobie's didn't _have_ to have big... boobs.
But wasn't that part of the great plan?
And this one didn't have ANY!
"No boobie?" he asked, confused and distraught that this person would betray his trust so.

Ligeia blinked a couple times, boobie? What was...? OH! He gave a little bit of a flush, "Ahhh, n-no. No I don't have any." He said, sounding rather embaressed, enough so that he looked away from the little one that he was snuggling. In time to catch Mr. Rikery's words, 'dismissed' and 'thank you' and see him head off into the house.
Ok, so they were done then? Good, good. He was exhausted and going home and getting some sleep sounded wonderful!
"Vorel, we are all done. You ready to go home?" He asked of the Frost Dragon then blinked a couple times as something dawned on him and he looked down at the one he was snuggling, "Ahh... Wait... Do you have a ride home?" He asked of Narayan, he'd been with the lady that had driven off so didn't that leave the little one stranded?

Niki watched as Alan gathered up his daughter in silence. The poor man. She sighed as he told them all that they were dismissed and then, after a moment, thanked everyone. Niki sighed, walking back over to put an arm about her own daughter, who was waving at Talia as the girl and her father walked into the house.
The woman heard Ligeia's comment and paused. If any of the kids were too far from home, she wouldn't mind taking them.
