Lionel was not actually "possessed" by Jor-el until he sat up out of the trance in Hidden. He was still in his "preparation" coma in Arrival when he was scrating into the floor
but after he got put in the psych ward, he somehow busted out and ended up in the fortress of solitude being a vessel for Jor-El to talk to Clark. or am i mixing up 2 different finales?
