I told you Metrotown was huge. It's not West Edmonton mall, by no means, but it's large and damned confusing. I get lost in there every frickin' time! gonk
Oh yeah, he did have a camera, didn't he? He took pictures of everthing but us, hahahaha! I don't think he knows how to send them to email, however.
It's a shame that you didn't get to Granville Island in time, there are some awesome stores in there, but did you get to see the sky line in the dark? It's gorgeous there, with the bridges all lit up and all.

Actually, I saw the sunset there, and it was pretty. Then I walked around the back of the science world giant ball with lights thing (I do not really feel comfortable refering to it just as 'building') to see the skyline at night 3nodding ..I went to science world too, and thought it was pretty lame. I could probably think of alot better uses for a giant ball. ..Then again, though, I didn't get to check out the Imax theater, so maybe I'm judging too soon.

We still call it the "Expo Ball". I remember going there when I was 5 and getting the 'passport' stamped at all the booths. But The world trade fair was in 1986... I believe you were a baby blaugh I can't imagine it not being there. I think Telus bought it and have tried to name it after themselves. But that kind of thing never really works Science world can be fun. Last I was there was 2 years ago. I took my friend there for her birthday. It is geared towards elementry school kids for field trips, it's not like there is much real science in there, it's just fun little stuff. I should have said that.

Yeah, "Telus World of Science." I wasn't even a fetus in 1986. My parents weren't even sexing it up in 1986, I was born Nov. 30th, 1987 so they were probably conceiving me around St. Valentines Day. I understood that it was geared for elementary kids, but it bothered me 'cause even they couldn't learn much from that. Get your mindless entertainment elsewhere, a giant ball with "science" as one of the words over the door should be a place for learning. Kids arn't being tought how to enjoy learning. We could get kids to go to public libraries by simply destroying everything else they love, says I!

I like Science World when it was really a Dinosaur world, with all kinds of information on prehistoric times and fossils and stuff. It was like a less cool Drumheller museum. But your rant put me in mind of a rant I had a few months ago where I got pissy at teenagers and children who hate learning because it isn't fun, and how education systems are always so frantic to make 'edu-tainment'. Learning isn't supposed to be fun; it's supposed to be necessary. And I pointed out that you couldn't deny that Britain with it's hundreds of years of dry, boring, and severe education produced many a brilliant mind.

People here feel that education isn't an absolute neccessity so they need a little inspiration before they can be taught. Think about how much you've been taught compared to how much you've learned on your own.

Kninja Gemstone, on top of forgetting to get a camera (didn't Zath's brother have his camera phone though?) you didn't even poke me, either xp And I dunno about SCII, you'd have an advantage for owning a copy, but I'm not bad with Cervantes or Voldo...
Yeah, well the sun was more torture then any poking I could have subjected you to. xd
Zath: Oh yeah well I could still beat you I betcha! AND I STILL PWN AT SOUL CALIBUR II. Wurd to my homedogs. mad
Yes! Not only do the Admins have to get their arses up to a CANADIAN convention sometime, but we should all gather and maim destroy hang out ^.^

I remember Drumheller! I used to live in Alberta, the fossels were sweet, though it's a really small building, if memory serves, and rather in the middle of nowhere...
I've never been to Science World...

See, I know Canada is large, yet now if I ever get up there, I expect to meet you all. Sounds like you had a lot of fun, I wish you'd had pics to post.

jobyjoby Canada is freakin' huge, I can guarantee that I live closer to people from this guild in the usa than Canada q=P Joby, than in your case, you should totally come visit here. Did that whole needing a passport to get to Canada thing start yet anyway? That seems odd to me we would need one for that, but... sweatdrop whatever. Someone should get a map of Canada for us geographically challenged people (me! me!) and put little numbers on it showing hwere people live and coresponding names of memeber so I can see where y'all live. Wanna do that Joby? heart
