Trajedy I really think the music forum is beyond help. I mean, unless we close it off and only re-admit users after passing an IQ test. We should really do that with all of Gaia, though... I mean, I tried doing what we do in the Music forum once or twice, and just got flamed along with the thread starter. People are such jackasses in there. If they did that, we'd be out of a job. wink But seriously. A concerted effort by multiple people would fare better than a couple people trying to do it all themselves. Rolf, I'll think over your ideas when I've got more time.

Even though my input probably has slim to none meaning wise, I'm gonna say that Rolf's dea would work best if guilds could have subforums. That way we could have everything in one guild, but have seperate forums based on the upkeep of certain real forums. But alas, guilds have no subforums.

Rolf, I'll think over your ideas when I've got more time. But Gaia would be a much less aggravating place to be (sometimes) if our guild had no use... It's a double-edged sword, I suppose, but on side isn't quite as sharp as the other.

Or they could simply make it that you need a certain amount of posts to make a thread or some sort of restriction.

I can't think of anywhere else to mention this but I think I may have found a member for a new forum. Valgav claims to spend most of his time in the Q&F boards and seems to know how to handle noobs. In fact by the sounds of it he's part of a group much like ours there. Eh, it may not be the AMC or Music forums but still it'd be a start. xp
Valgav The big thing is to not be too harsh or overbearing. We don't want to scare people away. biggrin I've been trying (with the help of many others) to keep the Q&F a friendly place to go for help over the last 6 months or so, but it's an uphill battle all the way. So I like to think I've got a knack for forum politics. xd I'm still talking with him about the subject but I think we may have some help on our overall goal. 3nodding Edits: Valgav Rolf Eusis Do you know of anyone who in a way leads these groups or even the one you are in for the Q&F board? sweatdrop If you do I'd gladly point out to Ember Darc who they are and let him explain everything. Well in the Q&F, we don't so much have an organization, so much as a part of the community works of a set of beliefs. biggrin Though I was the founder of a popular thread that preached how to be a kinder gentler Q&Fer. I closed it due to it was moved to the Q&F graveyard (Extended Feedback subforum) and there fore wasn't surving it's purpose. The meat of it resides in Dri's sticky in the main forum on the second page. biggrin But yes, please tell Ember Darc of me. I would possibly like to help in such an endeavor. biggrin

The Q&F forum is pretty well organized, thankfully, so we're going to go for them for a while. Once we've become better established, maybe.

I think we might need a Splinter Guild for the Exchange.. or more specifically, the Wanted forum. >>; You're probably going, 'Wtf Bap? How bad could a bartering forum be?' THIS is how bad it can be. He's.. a pure idiot. D: He posted in the wrong forum, he doesn't know the prices, he thinks he scared away the people trying to help him, he doesn't know what a flamer is and.. You all know I don't judge hard on spelling right? >> Holy crap, his spelling + his n00b-ness = Bad combo. Very bad. But maybe we don't need a splinter guild there? Hopefully he's a rare one.

I would like to be part of the paladin-divison that watches the metal-subforum. Many of the members there get away with too much, such as telling someone to go "kill themselves".

I say every fourm that has Flamers needs to be taken to and beaten by a large metal stick. Flamers are the birth of hate. When n00bs or newbs post anything ... even if they arn't new or anything like Traj' said. We need to expand and get the haters/flamers to a minimum(SP?). I fully suport this idea and will do everything I can to help. Help to GAIA is help to my life. In other words GAIA = My life. crying ; I know a real life.

AmberReflection The AMC has the Anti-guild (which I am a member of). It's not so organized as we are, but they do pretty much the same stuff. I visit AMC from time to time... so I would be willign to help if they became offiliated
