We practice on our football field with the stadium. Unless the football team comes and kicks us off. Then we either go back behind the stadium to the football practice field, or over to one of the softball fields where they spray paint football lines for us.

Oh my goodness, complaining about a little over 90 degrees? well, it is that hot by early in the morning.
We practice inside (because pit doesn't march). But, the rest of the band learns to march in the Band Hall parking lot with a grid painted on it, and then the practice field (which has lines like a football field). When school starts, we start having Monday night practices, which are done on the regular field.

We march in the parking lot at our school for band camp and practice. Before a really big game we do a quick review in the practice field by the other fields and whatnot. Otherwise we're on the actual football field. For parades we march around the track.

-[[Take a little bit of time everyday to reflect on bits and pieces of life. Relax and view life to its max.]]-
Usually? On our lovely turf covered football field. Ha ha. xDDDDDDDDD Lucky us. It's not the long slippery kinda turf neither. It's in easy to see colors...never wears away. *sighs in bliss*
If the football team steals it, or we're practicing before half time, we practice on the baseball field. It's not too bad though, because we get to spray paint white where our arcs are and stuff to make it easier. Don't gotta bother with masking tape balls later. xD

We have a 'mock football field' that we use as our practice field. Bad things about that: -When it rains, we're stuck marchin' in the mud [literally]. -When the lines wear away, we're screwed. -Durin' band camp, we're facin' the sun. -It's out in the open, so either way, we're in the sun. -Bugs are really bad a little later in the season when it starts to cool off. -We've got practice with JROTC [in the parkin' lot] and the football team [in the second practice field right behind us] at the same time.
But other than that, it's great. Our director has a podium [we call it the tower] that's just barely high enough for him to see everyone, but he wishes it was even higher.

In class we practice in our band building, has a percussion practice room, colorguard room, winds/brass/full band room, and a locker room. When it's not raining and we are practicing the marching shows after school or band camp, we practice on this park feild across the street, but we are going to start on our own practice feild soon (the grass is almost finished growing), and we are supposed to practice in sections marhing in our band room(it's like, 40 yards) when it's raining, but it hasn't rained during a marching practice yet.

We have one of the back football practice fields just for the marching band. RIght behind teh football practice, right next to soccer practice. We use that everyday after school for field rehearsal.
And then on Wednesday night the week of home games, we meet at the NIU stadium to practice there. We play our homegames there and because it's a collegate field which is slightly different than the high school fields- different hashes and such. That's an astroturf field, and its sucks. The plastic-y grass isn't bad, it's the black rubber bits in it that's annoying- and for colorguard, certain routines (i.e., this year's) involve us being on the ground. I find little black bits in my pants and shoes all the time.

Right now we're practicing on the practice field, which is small, bumpy, and is partially gravel. The worst part is that every brass player starts out on the 15 yardline, but the practice field only goes to the 20 yard line.
Once school starts we'll practice in the field house. We have band parents put tape on the floor to mark the yardlines, sidelines, and hashes. They do that while we have sectionals.

We practice on a nice cushy astroturf field... unless the football team is then we get the parking lot buts thats usually for basics
