ZonkotheSane nathan_ngl ZonkotheSane nathan_ngl I just walk with my tzitzit out and with the biggest hand woven kippa I can find xd . I am proud of who I am 3nodding . tell me it's not nachman xp of course not xd . It's the normal kippa sruga most Israelis wear xd ... just a bit bigger so all can see 3nodding . for better or for worse, my mom has already expressed her opinions on kipat sruga, along with blue jeans, small knitted/leather yalmukes, ankle socks, the color pink, clogs, and anything without a gap or land's end lable on it. rolleyes and some kids complain because they can't get tattoos... ... eek ... Kippa sruga is on the same wave as Jeans for your mom? sweatdrop Woah xd . Before I was barmitzva I used to wear the black kippas, but then I switched over, because I liked the sruga ones better, and it's not considered "taboo" around here... It's "tzabar" rolleyes xd .

I don't have restrictions set by my mom or something, but I have enough sense to wear/not wear certain things.
Personally, you wouldn't catch me wearing anything flamboyantly Jewish if I visit another country. It's not bad where I live, but I have had my share of anti-semitic comments every now and then, so I avoid it when I can. I'm certainly not ashamed of being Jewish, and am very proud of my religion/heritage, but that doesn't mean I want to go around painting a target on my head. xp
I still wear the occasional Jewish symbols every now and then, as it's really not as bad as it sounds; I'm just paranoid. (don't even think about commenting Nathan! blaugh ) Plus, I have my Magen David necklace. ^^
It really annoys me to see people walking into synagogues or something in sloppy clothes, or with bare shoulders, etc. stressed Does anybody else see this, not necessarily in your temple?
And Zonko, what's wrong with the color pink? I personally don't like pink and wouldn't wear it, but still- what's so bad about a color? sweatdrop

It looks rediculous, and not only that, people pay most than double the price for those kinds of pants. It's insane. It's vain. It's not how a jewish teenager should be spending his/her time and money. Though I do agree with you, Jeans, Shirts with wording on them, Kipa sruga, all of them are just fine in my mind... The one that pisses me off the most is the wording one... in our yeshiva if your shirt has too much wording on it, they get pissed stare . I mean... what's wrong with saying "Superjew" on the back? xd .

(no offense to anybody who wears them; I just don't like them personally sweatdrop )

One of these days I'll have to post some of the more humorous ones I've seen. xp

angelic elf Furtently I'm from Israel so I would go with this kind of shirts but when I'm aboard I dont wear anything that declers clearly that I'm jewish, I wear an hat over my kippa and my Tzizit is hidden... I dont wear anything with Magen David or Hebrew words on it and on top of all if I'm in france I almost never talk Hebrew.... Yeah, maybe I'm a bit paranoid.... sweatdrop I have a friend who wears his kippa and Tzizit out all the time, but we can't ever get service at this Middle Eastern place we go to when he's dressed like that. DarkHalcyon Boys with a kippah and tzitzit are hawt. pirate I concur. heart

I've never really wanted one of those shirts. For some reason, shirts with stuff written across them don't appeal to me. Except for my "Explosions fix everything" shirt. Only exception. I only have one clothing restriction. "You can't wear anything slutty." They really don't have anything to worry about. I feel uncomfortable if my skirt goes above my knees.

I like to wear anything that doesn't clash horribly rolleyes . As long as it's not like... green and orange, or blue and pink... you know rolleyes xd .
I find girls with CLEAR lip closs attractive 3nodding . I mean, it can have alittle red/pink tinge to it, but it's the neon green and blue that really scares me. I just like the shiny look of lip gloss on red, I think it's pretty 3nodding .

That's another thing- just with my own restrictions, I never wear anything slutty, and I don't wear short-shorts. Completely uncomfortable wearing those clothes, or lack thereof. sweatdrop
I'm frustrated because they never make longer shorts for girls, though! I don't mean down to ankles or anything, but still! Honestly! xp
Heh, and yes, clashing would be an issue...
