I'm scared to, and they are hard to find. What kind to you use? I use sofn'free n'pretty; it doesn't contain lye because its a kiddie relaxer. (I know you weren't asking me, but I was already in the thread and passion is offline.).

maicuu How do you wear yours? How do you deal with it? What tips & tricks do you have dealing with it? Got links? Got horror stories? funny stories? success stories? wtf stories?
-I use to rock the corn rows but I cut um off for 3 reason.
1. Wanted to change my image.
2. Mom duke’s birth day.
3. All that hair was just getting to hectic for me.
Now I’m working on my wave game with my new Dark Caesar.
-Keep it brushed and never add to much grease to it.
-Get yourself a decent haircut.
Before you shower every night rube on some "360 Style Wave Control Pomade"(The one in the blue can) in your hair.
Brush it.
Shower with a duey on.
After you shower or whatever it is you do to wash ya a**, take a really hot rag (Hand towel) and place it on top of ya dome for a good 10-15 minutes.
Repeat these actions for about a week and i guarantee you'll have them 360's pop'n off by the end of that week.
Oh and you dont have to carry a brush around with you everywhere brushing and patting at your hair every few minutes in public to make sure your s**t is straight. I hate it when i see niggas do'in that.

-I set my hair on fire once at the bus stop. I flicked my cig ash and the wind caught the cherry and flew in my hair. The out come wasn’t that bad, but it was still embarrassing though... gonk crying

I'm scared to, and they are hard to find. What kind to you use? I really thought I answered you, but I guess not. Heh. Anywho, I thought it was actually harder to find lye-relaxers, but, mrgh. Whenever I relax my hair, (which I haven't done in many, many months), I use Optimum, regular strength. Lye relaxers that are done by a professional probably last 10x as long as any home kit, depending on your hair. surprised But, I have always been afraid to go too strong when it comes to my hair, and I'm always nervous about letting anyone else do anything to my hair.

Hmm, maybe thats why my hair isn't as straight as others because I have a weaker perm. My mom jokes that it doesn't do enough, but it keeps my hair thick, and so many girls with perms want my hair for its thickness. (oh, and your avi looks nice too.)

I wear it out and down, in a ponytail, one time in an afro, err, crimps and twisties with curls in tha back and cornrolls......no weave stressed

Here's a tip/trick for you. Two strand twists can save you in a time crunch. If your relaxer is growing out or the humidity has fluffed your doo or leaving the windows down as you drive untames your locks; the fastest thing to do is braid it down with two strand twists. They look complicated, but take only a few seconds to do a couple. You can braid your hair down by constantly picking up more hair close to the scalp as you braid or just braid a solitary lock.
not to mention they are easy to remove later

I rarely have my hair done. I might perm it once in a while but that's about it. Most of the time I just put some hair greese, comb & brush it and put a hair rag on and go on my way. If you guys knew what my hair looked like most of the time you would give me a big "WTF Crystal"

I usually wear mine in braids (get it done every 2 weeks because my sis is a hair dresser) but probally once a month or on special occasions i straighten it. when its straighten its layered
I cut it alot because i dont like it longer then shoulder lengh
But my hair is VERY course
I DONT perm my hair because i did it once in middle school and my hair broke of soooo bad!
it was as short as my ear

I get my hair relaxed. At least once a month. I don't like it very much right now but it's cut short... Really, really short. In fact, I have a lesbian's hair cut. It blows but then again I don't know what i want to do with my hair.
Once upon a time, I had it styled like Sasuke's (from Naruto) and all my friends thought it was cool but my cousin did not. sad She had almost all of it shaved off. crying And now it's really short...
BTW, I don't trust my stylist anymore. I told her that I wanted to have my hair at shoulder's length. She told me that she was going to trim it. She "trimmed" (look at my profile pic--it was taken about 2 or 3 days ago) it from that to something much much shorter. crying
Anyone know the standard for relaxing and growing hair? If you want to grow it, do you keep cutting it a little?
