Abbie_the_duck_slayer Im one, I first started playing in the school jazz band, and now my friend wants me to play in her band with to guys. They only want me to play in it because their other bass player (brant) has been in hawaii for like...the whole summer and they said that he sounds really bad when he plays xp and i don't xd so...like...I don't know weather to join their band or what...what do you guys (as in guys, i mean girls) think? should I join or not? oh yeah, almost forgot...GIRL BASSISTS (idk if hat is even a word! ha, oh ******** ROCK!!! heart It's really up to you, but I think you should try it out. Tell them you just want to see how things work between you guys and if you find you love playing with them, then make it a long term thing.

I play double bass and electric. It's great because everyone thinks I suck until I start playing. I had a few groupies my last year in high school also ^^

Chica bass player!!! haha. I play an Ariana electric 4-string bass. Well right now it only has 3 strings but, well...accidents happen. I named my bass also. His name is A.J. My initals are AJ and those are the initals of one of my favorite actresses. And also A.J. from the Backstreet Boys is very sexy. Haha. biggrin

I haven't been playing all that long. Only three years. I play jaz music, but my real love is the guiter. On both the guitar and the bas I would like to find some old sheet music. Like 1920's- 1960 music. Like Fred Astair, Frank SInatra, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Judy Garland, Danny Kaye, Ella FitzGerald...

D R E A M T I play electric bass, I use to play for our school band, but now I'm switching schools. As far as I know there's only one bassist now, and he pretty much sucks, so they're screwed. xd I don't play in a band at the moment. I was offered to play with one of my friends' band for a show once, but I didn't take up the offer. I love playing rock music. The bassist that compelled me to play more was Cliff Burton and Duff McKagen. I started to play in my high school Jaz Band. It's fun. But now we have three bassists... It is kinda tough, particularaly since I am the only one that can sight read rythms...

I play bass just for fun, but soon im gonna join the jazz band at skool, n c if they need a bass player. cuz im already in thier band, playin trumpet.

I'm a female bass player!
I got my bass on 30th September, just after my friend asked me if I wanted to be in a crap band. ^_^
There's three of us - Me on Bass, and the two boys on Lead/Rhythm Guitar. We are still in very much need of a drummer. sweatdrop
We had a 'music' session today - A whole 10 hours! Much fun. xd

I'm the only female double bass player that plays classical in my whole town. We're the few and the proud to say the least :3 sometimes I find that girl bass players really suck and don't rock out enough (I also play electric) but there are the few that do ^_^
