First roleplay as an adult:

Kimaria
Rawr...rawr...rawr. Well wasn't this just great. He was in the middle of nowhere - and had been for some time now - with nothing to do and no femmes to flirt with. What could be worse than this? Well...nothing. He snorted and held his head up to greet a gentle breeze that drew the mane back from his eyes. With it came a scent, one that he hadn't smelt for quite a while.

So Asi had ventured this way?

With a wide yawn and a clip of his teeth the growing lion was up on his paws and moving off at a loping gait. The bulky frame he had been blessed with since cubhood had thickened out with strong muscle due to the travelling he did. He was - despite the dust and dry grass that covered him - a perfect example of strength and pride.

Well...might as well make his presence known.

Upon opening his jaws the rumbling gathered deep in his chest, pushed out into a loud rumble of thunder, a sense of power lingering within his calling note. Well now, that ought to do it. With a smirk he slowed his pace to a halt and gazed around expectantly.

Lethrossen
It was true, Asi was about. He was seated at a large waterhole, one of the biggest in the southlands (not that it would stay that way), staring at his reflection. He couldn't quite remember when his mane had grown fully in. He didn't like it, it made him uncomfortable. And the heat just floated around in it, making his head way too hot. His build was average, he could tell he looked olfer now. He wasn't too muscled, lazed about way too much to be muscley. Though he wasn't chubby either, something he was thankful for (even if only at the back of his mind). Which was probably to do with going here and there with Ari, and rhino baiting. Which he still kept up, even after Ari got hurt from it.

His tail flicked a little, a frown resting on his lips. Maybe that was better than an angry scowl or a cranky, smug, 'im better than you anyways' look. He gave a small start at the roar, so lost in his thoughts that he couldn't actually smell Amari. He blinked, wondering why he knew that roar belonged to ol' rust-bucket. He glanced slowly around, chocolate gaze half shutting. He did not roar back, simply because he thought he would sound ridiculous. He'd never tried roaring after that time he found he sounded miserable. That was before he was full grown, though.

He pulled himself to his paws, lazy swagger starting as he headed toward the noise, paws carefully pressing on the ground as to not make noise. He wondered if Amari would notice Ari's smell on him. Practically the only lion he ever hung out with any more. Masuka's scent was there too, he'd encountered her a few nights prior. A few strange scents were also apparent, but faint.

He wondred where Amari had been all this time.

Kimaria
Well...no answering call from his old...friend? He laughed at that thought as he moved onwards, not bothering to move silently as he went. The two males had been through some tough times and although it seemed they would appear to be enemies they had turned out to be rather good companions. Asi was alright if you looked through that grumpy exterior.

Come to think of it he didn't think he'd ever heard Asi roaring, perhaps because he didn't like to attract attention to himself? Yeah that had to be it.

Putting on a wide grin he leaped up onto a sloping rock, eyes casting across the dusty ground and catching the glittering surface of the waterhole Asikari had been sitting at a few moments before. Following the path that led up towards him the male spotted Asikari clearly. It seemed he had grown up a lot too.

"Hey Asi!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, not one for being subtle as he began a speedy jog up to the other lion and reaching up with a forepaw to give the other a gentle pat on the nose. "Where are yah girlfriends, eh?"

Lethrossen
Asi even offered a smile when he spotted his old friend, tail flicking. He rolled his eyes a bit, hoping the other would catch the action. He was teasing Amari's loud behavior with out even saying anything.

As Amari made his way toward Asi, and they met up, he sat. At the pat on the nose it twitched, and he turned, sneezing slightly. "My wha'?" He narrowed his eyes, and batted Amari in the head, none too lightly. "I do 'ave no.. girlfriends." He muttered, obviously it was the wrong thing to say to Asi. Well. Perhaps if it was anyone but Amari he'd be leaving by now.

"An' speakin' o'which, wheres yer doll-face?" He grinned, teasing right back. Maawio was Amari's doll face.

Kimaria
"Ouch!" Amari muttered light-heartedly and ducked just incase another swipe was aimed for him. If he noticed the hints that Asi dropped about his loud ways he never let on, and simply carried on as usual. "Ah don't be shy, you have atleast three." He gave the other male a toothy grin, "can't say I blame 'em, a good looking guy like you 'ought to get used to having female company."

"Aint seen Sunshine since I left the pridelands to explore. I expect she's doing fine though, she always does. Shame there isn't any other females around here though, a guy can only go so long without a pretty pair of eyes to look into, yah know what I mean?"

He winked playfully at Asi and moved to nudge his shoulder teasingly against the other's. Ah this was the life!

Lethrossen
He snorted slightly, tossing his head. "Three eh?" He rolled his eyes and sighed, feeling just a /tad/ uncomfortable. He wasn't around girls that much.. was he? Actually. Now that he thought about it.. that usually was the gender of the company he chose to be around. He coughed lightly, urging the thought away. Good looking? Amari was an idiot, he decided.

Asi blinked, and actually looked a bit embaressed. A pretty... blue.. set of eyes, perhaps? He gave a funny face, tossing his head angrily to get rid of that though, chocolate mane falling into his matching eyes. "The problem is, all yew e'er think aboot is females. I do be sure yew would no be longin' so if yew did no think of 'em so often." He smirked, trying to cover up the prior embaressement, and hope the other did not catch it.

He swayed a bit and nudged Amari back, good naturedly.

Kimaria
"You have a point there." What else did actually go through his mid other than females? Well he thought about food quite a lot too and about how nice it was too sunbathe...jeez he really was shallow. Nevermind, some women went for the shallow type, made them feel like they were more in control. That much was true of his relationship with Maawio. He would do anything for her, heart and mind ruled by her presence whenever she was near. He liked it!

With a swish of his tail he made to circle the other male, grinning as the other nudged him back. Seemed the lion wasn't as miserable as he once had been. Definately a sign that he had some femmes. He chose to ignore the uncomfortable feeling that had settled over Asi and continued.

"Probably won't be long before you decide which female you want...or do you prefer to have more than one? I can't say I blame yah, I'd do the same if I wasn't sure that Maawio would try and kill me." He laughed.

Lethrossen
"Aye." He stated, blandly. Of course he had a point! There were other things to talk about. Like. Rhino baiting.. or maybe share some adventures. Swimming, food.. hunting. Though sunbathing was very nice. He blinked and snorted, it wasn't like he was much more interesting than Amari. He just didn't often think about females.

His mug dropped open and he glared, glancing away. Choose what female he wanted? Ugh, Amari was single minded. Or something. He only had room to think about females, and what male was with what female. Well, might as well play along. He stuck his tongue out. "Migh' take me a few o' my own, ackshly." He stated smartly, only ruining it by rolling his eyes.

"Wha' yew mean by sayin' I be choosin' a female? I do be intendin' ter say single until I die." It was too bad he was beginning to feel attached to a certain someone then, wasn't it? And even worse because he owuld not end up alone.

Besides, a pride didn't sound half bad anymore. He hated himself for that thought.

Kimaria
"Well, that doesn't sound like much fun to me." Amari huffed, and moved as if to pounce on Asi's tail. He was feeling rather energetic today and meeting with this lion had made it even more powerful. "I think you'd be suited to having a mate, a nice female to keep you in order is just what you need."

He lowered himself a little and turned to glance at the other male. "Well fine, but I'm gonna look forward to saying: I told you so, when it does happen. And it WILL happen, mark my words buddy."

With that he motioned downwards and made to leap for the other's tail, hoping to trap it beneath his paws.

Lethrossen
He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Keep me in order, eh? Jus' like 'ow yer lil' doll face does fer yew.." He grinned slyly. He rolled his eyes, it would not happen! He might not let it just to spite the other male!

When Amari pounced his tail he gace a growl of annoyance, though something that hinted at playfulness was evident in it. Suddenly he twisted, tackling Amari with another, more playful growl. "Aye git yer paws off my tail." He called, nipping at Amari.

He was feeling a bit energetic too, and had been showing his playful side more and more often of late.

Kimaria
"Oof!" Amari's eyes sparked with amusement as he rolled over onto his back, front paws reaching up to swipe playfully at Asi's muzzle as he tried to n** at him. Well that surely wasn't something that Amari had expected.

"What yah gonna do about it furball?" He retorted playfully.

With a snap of his own jaws he continued to roll in the same direction as before so that he was on his stomach before rising up onto his paws and bouncing forwards towards the other, his own playful growl making it's way into reality.

Sun sparked from his orange-hued fur as he lowered himself into pounce position once more, tail waving in the air as he made to tackle the other to the ground. He hadn't done any play fighting since...well never really, unless you counted the more violent games he was forced into during his first couple of months of living.

Lethrossen
"I do think I already be doin' somethin' aboot it!" He replied, snapping at a mouthful of Amari's mane and tugging. Not lightly, but not so hard that it hurt, either. Asi rolled about, batting at the once upon a time enemy, having fun.

He made sure his claws remained seathed, he didn't actually want to cut Amari up. Just play fight. The last time he'd play fought was with Ari, and that had been short live. She didn't like being pinned, he'd grown to find out. But she had no quams (spelling?) about pinning others.

He twisted, able to get a bit of Amari's tail with a paw, tugging playfully with more growls.

Kimaria
"Ah ha! Think yah can beat me, eh?" He moved his head sideways to try and free his mane, giving a small growl as that only made things worse and decided to keep his head still. With tail thrashing he jumped in the air and over Asi as he rolled and gave a small squeak of surprise as he felt a paw pinning on his tail. Noooo he had been caught!

With another growl he tried to work himself round and move to capture his 'prey' once more, rearing up on his back legs and moving to try and put his weight on Asikari's shoulders and maybe knock him off balance.

His breathing had become heavier during the scuffle, the sun ever present - beating down upon him with its powerful rays. It usually empowered him but in such a case as this it was a little tiring too.

Lethrossen
Amari was not the only one getting out of breath, Asi was too. And perhaps even more out of breath than his friend. When Amari shoved weight onto his shoulders he toppled back with an annoyed yowel, he'd be succesfully pinned soon!

He kicked lightly at the other, burting out laughing for the shear enjoyment of it. Yeah, Asi changed quite a bit. At least around friends, with strangers he was still a tad.. mean. To say the least. After a bit he scampered away from Amari "Aye, aye, yew win." He declared, still panting. He sat down and stretched, a yawn tearing at his jaws. "Do annee thin' goo' recently?" he questioned.

Kimaria
Amari backed up a little, front paws leaving the ground as he watched Asi scamper away a little bit, thus putting an end to the game. "Did yah ever doubt I'd lose?" He grinned, ego once again reaching it's peak.

Panting he glanced over to the waterhole and after flicking back his head briefly to rid his eyes of that ever-annoying mane he trotted over to take a drink, pausing to glance at the other as he asked the question. "Ah nothing much, just travelling about. Haven't seen anyone for ages and I've been meaning to catch up with Bakhti." He paused, wrinkling his snout as he remembered that his sister and Asi didn't exactly see eye to eye. "Seems she got herself a mate whilst I've been away." He grinned, eyes sparkling, "might be hearing the sound of tiny paws soon, and they'll be calling me; Uncle Amari." He laughed.

"I guess you still don't get on with her though." He shook his head, "how that female resisted your charms I'll never know." He teased lightly, closing the distance between him and the water, lowering his head to lap thirstily.

Asi's in Lurveee~

Lethrossen
Asikari yawned, eyes slitting up. Blood and ashes and the stars above, it was too early. He groaned and shifted, stretching. He slowly rose, gaze flicking around. He nipped the sleeping form of Ari affectionetly and then began to pad off, perhaps to the waterhole that wasn't too far away.

His tail flicked, still thinking about things. Idly he wondered if he'd bump into Laana or Laini. Maybe Masuka.. Amari? Hhm. He wasn't sure if he wanted to bump into ol' rust bucket, though. He'd be able to say 'i told you so' way too soon in Asi's mind. But, it was what.. he wanted.

He huffed, tossing his head a bit, ridding himself of the thoughts. He'd just foccus on getting that drink of stale water.

Kimaria
Amari however was near by, in fact his large rusty form was lying beside the waterhole, his muzzle resting on one of his forepaws as he snored lightly. It was unusual to find him asleep so close to the water but after a few days of brimming energy he had finally fallen asleep whilst waiting for a frog to make it's way out of the water.

His breathing was even, ears and muzzle twitching in his sleep as he continued to dream of play.

Lethrossen
As Asi spotted the ol' rust bucket himself he rolled his eyes a bit. "Aye, even think o' the bloo'y devil an' 'e appears." He edged around Amari, making sure nothing beastly was in the water. Well, close to the shore anyways. "Surprised yew did no ge' eaten." He murmered, more to himself than the sleeping form. He grinned, wondering how heavily the lion slept. He took a drink, then watched Amari again.

He nudged him with a paw, wondering if he'd awake or not. He wanted to see what a sleeping lion would do when pushed into the water. Maybe he could shout 'croc' too. He grinned at the idea.

Kimaria
Amari snorted as he was nudged, moving to bury his face between the gap in his front paws, muttering something incoherent. In fact Amari was quite a deep sleeper, not having time to do much of it so that when he finally did it was deep and full.

His tail thrashed violently once then moved to curl about a hind leg, the end of it sweeping gently at the ground and causing the dry grass to crackle under the effort.

Lethrossen
He snorted, nudging him again. He just liked hearing the mutters, perhaps. He padded around the sleeping form, seeing how far it was away from the water. He wondered if he could even move Amari. I'd be harder than dragging a carcuss, he though. And that would be tiring. And might not be worth it. He gave him a little shove to test out how fun this activety might be. Guh! What was this? Well. This was going to make him weak. He backed up from Amari, went into the water and chuckled, tail flicking.

Not far into, mind, just so he was standing in it up half way to his legs. One paw rose above the water and came flying down, splashing a rather big gush at Amari, "Wake up yew goo' fer nothin' bucket o' rust." He called. He wasn't sure if he'd be doing this if he knew of Amari's fear of water.

Kimaria
Warm.

Amari was dreaming in an envelope of warmth, lying next to the beautiful golden lioness who had captured his mind, heart and soul. It was true when Asi had said that he only thought about females, for they even roamed his dreams. However something happened that didn't normally occur in such a pleasant reverie.

Cold splashes, cold! Water! On him?!

Hazel eyes flew open, paws flailing as he wriggled in a panic, rolling onto his side as he tried to free himself from the cold jaws of a watery death.

"H-help!" His throat felt dry and useless as he finally found the ground and raised himself onto his paws, eyes finally settling upon the brown form of Asikari. After a moment of tense silence his frantic breathing began to slow and with a newfound fatigue he backed up and slumped to the ground.

"What was that for?!" He yelled when he finally regained his voice. He would probably have given the other lion a cuff across the nose if the lion hadn't been in the water at the time.

Lethrossen
His eyes widened and he decided it was not funny at all. He coughed, slipping out of the water, and winced when the other yelled. He stayed a bit closer to the water though, he didn't know just how angry Amari was. He sat, slowly, not bothering to shake out, as he regarded the other lion with a somber curiousity.

He did not ask the spoken question, he just replied with "Er, did no think yew'd react tha' way." He murmered, offering a sheepish half-grin. So.. was Amari really that afraid of water.. or was it part of the dream that made him cry out?

Kimaria
Amari huffed - a rather amusing looking pout resting heavily upon his expression as he glared at the other. Water dripped from the tresses of his mane and ran down the curve of his nose as he sulked, not liking the cold feeling at all. Then after another moment he shook himself, stray water droplets flying in all directions about him.

"I..uh...you took me by surprise is all." He muttered grumpily, not really wanting to admit to his slight fear of water. It wasn't exactly something one could be proud of, especially a large lion such as himself. He was supposed to be brave and fearless, not a wimp who was a fraid of getting a little wet.

He exhaled noisily, and reached out to pat the other firmly on the muzzle in a scolding manner. "It's not polite to wake someone up when they're sleeping yah know buddy."

Lethrossen
He rolled his eyes a bit, ears flicking. His lip curled as Amari patted him, nose twitched, but he said nothing of it. He guessed he deserved it, maybe. But it left a weird sensation in his nose, one that made him want to sneeze.

His tail flicked again, he didn't mind being wet obviously. "Aye, tha' was the poin'." He grinned, a mischeivious.. almost cub like glint in his chocolate colored eyes. "So, so tired yew fall asleep righ' were crocs can get yew.. wha've yew been up tew, eh?" He grinned cheekily, as if implying certain.. activeties of staying up all night, even if there was no female in view.

He was in an unusually cheerful mood, wasn't he?

Kimaria
"Yeah apparently so..." He rolled his eyes and moved back a pace, sitting back on his rump and glancing at the other male. He seemed to be in a strangely cheerful mood and he couldn't help but feel a little suspicious. Had something good happened to this other male lion that he didn't know about? Hmm...but what? He drew his ears forward, shaking his head once more and drawing in a deep breath.

"Crocs...pah, there aint any of those round here." Well that was a lie, there could very well be a living log hidden in the watery depths. Just another reason to add to his growing list of why he despised it so much. It was good for soothing a dry throat but nothing else.

"I was uh...chasing frogs." He said weakly, "nothing better to do seeing as most of the rogues seem to have...dissapeared? Or maybe they're just too shy to approach a handsome lion such as myself." He beamed.

Lethrossen
He chuckled. Watching.. trying to catch frogs? He grinned. That might be better than frolicking with fireflies. Er.. well.. no.. frogs were more manlyish, even if only a little. He shifted, getting up again and padding more away from the water, laying in the prickly grass, glancing back the way he'd came. A slight longing entered his gaze, but it was gone again when he looked to his friend.

"Ah, or per'aps yew be lookin' in the wrong place. I been bumpin' inter a few meself, lately. A small lil'cub.. mrr. Some female named Laini. Another pair younger than meself.." He shrugged lightly. Mr. social, eh? "Bu' tha' could jus' mean I be ugly." He snorted, as in they'd approach some one uglier than Amari. Yes, he was making fun of himself, definetly something to check out.

Asi didn't want to tell Amari of the news though. The teasing, what of the teasing? He knew it would come. Probably a lot of it. But Amari was his friend, as much as playful banter that went on did, and as much as they teased each other and such.

Kimaria
"Hmm maybe." Amari arched his back as he stretched, jaws parting in a yawn and tongue curling between his teeth. He had slept reasonably well even if he had been rudely awakened. Nevermind, he was over it and it looked like the other hadn't realised about his certain...fear.

"A female eh? Laini...hmm haven't met her before. Is she pretty?" His eyes sparked as he moved closer to the other male. "You may be ugly but you're doing something right to attract all those femmes. It's not fair! You have all the luck!" He gave an exaggerated sigh and moved to tug at one of the male's ears lightly in his teeth, an action born purely from jest.

"Why are you so cheerful anyway? Something happene that I should know about?" He grinned.

Lethrossen
When Amari bit at his ear he shoved his paw in his face, trying to push him back. "Aye may'aps it's cause they all know yew 'ave yer lil'doll, eh?" He smirked. Though if that /was/ the case females would stop flocking around him. Maybe there was just a lack of males. Asi would rather go on that sanario.

Asi's face got a bit stoney at the question, and he coughed and turned away. "Er, somethin'appened but yew should no know aboot it." He smirked a little. That seemed.. a suitable answer. Oh what the hell was he kidding? He could bare a little teasing. A little. "Yew.. uh.. know Ari?" He would not look over at Amari, he was staring at the sky.

Kimaria
He snorted and moved back a little, knowing not too overcrowd the male too much and shook the mane from his eyes. "Ahh you may be right, but it never hurts to try, it's oh so fun to flirt with them."

At Asi's reply to his question he sighed and sat back down, looking up at the sky as if expecting to find something amazing there. "Ari? Yeah I sure do. Why? What does she have to do...with...anything...?" He trailed off, eyes widening a little as the cogs in his brain started to turn.

Lethrossen
Oh great. Amari was being /stupid/ today and he had to say it out loud.. didn't he? "Er well.. she an' I.." he glanced to Amari. "uh.. we be.." Nope, couldn't finish that either. He suddently scootched a bit toward Amari, bopping him lightly with a paw. "Damn yew use yer brian!" He huffed.

He looked away again, coughed, shifted his paws. "Er.. she.. asked me teh.. stay with 'er. So.. I said yes." He glanced around, only sometimes shooting glances to Amari.

He cought Laini's scent in the air. Good. A presuasion.

Kimaria
"Ouch" he rubbed the tender spot where he had been struck with a paw and gave the other a sheepish grin. "I am using it!" He paused, drew in a steady breath and flicked his ears. "She scared of being alone so she asked you to keep her company, right?"

He turned his head round as he heard the approaching steps on another, eyes widening as he spotted the approaching femme. Wow.

He was on his paws and shaking the grass from his mane, pausing to glance at Asi and giving him an all knowing smirk. "I told you so." He muttered under his breath, moving forwards a step towards the newcomer. "Hello there gorgeous."

Lethrossen
Ari.. being scared of being alone? Well she hadn't included that, but in Asi's mind it gave the whole meaning a different spin. What if it was because she was /only/ lonely? He glared at Amari. Big oaf, putting words in his mind. Or maybe he just had a pestimistic look on things?

Besides. She loved him. She said so. And he loved her. An itch at the back of his mind told him he was still afraid of those words. He sighed a bit, glancing to the new arival. He rolled his eyes at Amari's antics. "Down boy." He snorted, teasing the other. "Ello Laini." He spoke, giving greeting to the lioness.

Ty-chan
Well, well, well. This was a surprise. She hadn't except to get this kind of treatment. He just have thought about getting some drink, meeting someone new, maybe with shy awkardness. Definately she hadn't except anything like this. "Hello," she said, a slight blush on her cheeks, confused and forgetting Asi for a little moment.

Kimaria
(( sorry, had to do ironing and get changed, then chase my brother outside with a ham roll >>;; don't ask. ))

He looked back at Asi with a toothy smile and shook the mane from his eyes. The male didn't know what he was missing out on! Then again he had his own little 'doll face' now so perhaps he knew very well what this was like.

He turned back to the grey-furred femme and bowed his head a little, "Hello, I am Amari. Would you honour me by sharing your own name?" He smiled sweetly.

Ty-chan
Laini watched all this 'Laini-is-so-gorgeous'-play with wonder, blinking at times. "Laini," she said finally, with rather confused and surprised voice when her name was asked. Well, this was strange lion, indeed. Once, when Amari didn't see it, Laini glanced at Asi, wishing some kind of advice. Was he always like this?

Kimaria
"A....log?" Amari tilted his head and glanced curiously at his friend, whiskers twitching with the beginnings of a frown. Then once again he turned his attention back to the lioness; "Laini." Ah ha so this was the female Asi had mentioned earlier. "Such a beautiful name." He backed off a little, "so you've already met my friend here, eh?"

Lethrossen
Amari's brains must get like scrambled eggs when females were around. Asi gave an appreciative grin at the image in his mind, and he snorted. He spotted Laini's look and he grinned. "Wha' number is this 'un Amari? That yew be flirtin' with this past week?" In a sense he was trying to answer Laini's question, Amari /was/ always like this around females.

He was also getting a good tease out of Amari.

Ty-chan
She nodded, slowly getting over of this confusion. "Few times," she answered, sitting down. With quick glance she got the silent message from Asi and nodded lightly to him. Oh, she got it. She would remember that.

Kimaria
"Well uhh...she's the first!" He gave Asi a glare and with a flick of his tail moved sideways. "Anyway, I've been here too long already, I got someone to meet." Concealing the fact that it was his own dear Maawio he continued onwards. "Talk to you later beautiful!" He winked at Laini and then quickened his pace to a jog. "Oh and Asi! I want to hear all the details about you and your 'doll face' next time we meet. Till then!" And with that he was off.
