i apologize, but it is impossible to understand how killing one's offspring can equate to speaking one's mind.

..Le Chat du Noir.. I personally have a few pro-life friends, and although it's a sensitive subject, I find that the only way to avoid conflict is to discuss different things. Not that I openly chatter about my pro-choice views with a lot of people, but..... pirategirl27 A few of the people that I was chatting with a few minutes ago totally shocked me. As soon as I put my Prolife sign in my siggy, here's what they posted: Quote: Prolife is for losers! I'm taking you off my friends list, loser! I don't really give a care about the taking me off their friends list, but they were so rude. They called all of us losers! Did they even stop to think about how they were insulting so many people? I know that they didn't. That just totally shocked me. Call me weird, but I don't care. They insulted us about something so great, Prolife. I'm sorry you had to deal with a loser among us Pro-Choicers. I'm not entitled to apologize for anyone without their express permission, but I give you my guarantee that we're not all like that! That's not weird at all, I got thrown that before too, I know how it feels. They added insult to injury- The basic name-calling, and then calling me a slut. divineseraph how pro-choice can one really be if they can't allow someone to choose their own moral code? I can't speak for them, but my opinion is not really one. Most of us are for freedoms of all sorts outside the whole abortion debate, ie. The First Amendment. Looks like Miss Pirate just got thrown with a bad nut.

...I repeat my question: What does that have to do with anything? No one is defending abortion as a right granted in the First Amendment. However, to support abortion -is- a right given in the First Amendment. The right to free speech. I.E., you can talk about whatever the hell you like, you can believe whatever the hell you like.
She wasn't saying, "Abortion is right because of the First Amendment," she was saying, "You can say what you like because of the First Amendment."

i was under the impression that it meant that choicers are for rights, such as abortion and free speech. putting the two together as equally important rights is similar to defending murder equally to self defense. if that was not the intent, i apologize. that is how it came across to me, however.

I still don't understand what you are trying to say. Are you trying to say that they can't hold what they consider their reproductive rights to be equal to the right to free speech? Because I assure you, they can, and there's nothing wrong with that.
They believe both to be rights for different reasons. It's nothing like defending murder as well as self defense. There's no good reason to defend murder. They have reasons to support the right to free speech. And they have seperate reasons to defend abortion. I don't think their reasons are very good, but that's because I'm Pro-Life.

Yes, of course that's what -I- think, but that isn't what -she- would think, because she is Pro-Choice. Just the same as -I- find nothing wrong with elevating the fetal right to life to the level of free speech (Or over), when a Pro-Choicer -would-.

Their the real loosers, If I was you I would of said "if your going to be like that then your not a good/true friend anyways" and maybe something more harsh. Their oviously not very open minded. Geez, I thought they would be more open minded and support all choices (yes being pro-life is a choice too)? Some pro-choicers are nice and more opened mind but that one sure wasn't, just a jerk. You don't need a jerk as a friend. (I got a hate mail once. I wrote back to them and they never said something else. That tends to happen to me a lot, I write something and people don't reply or write back).
