"Haha! I win!" He yelled in her face, it felt good to be 'happy' again, if that's what he was allowed to call himself. Although he only felt this way around his sisters, or his parents.

"Which is what bothers me. I want them to not only want to see eachother, but actually make an attempt to do so." Bairn sighed, talking about their parents was helping him deal with his emotional issues towards Astia and a possible future...but in a way it was making everything worse. He wished that Kaliska and Lalit were more social, then perhaps the three humans could live together and their family would always be togther too.

"If Mother and Father both act like this, Aruna something has to be done. If they won't do it themselves, then we must. We can't just stand around and watch them fall apart like that." He knew his words had pained his older sister, but he spoke the truth, there was no lying to her, not ever.

Listening to Aruna's words, the stallion tilted his head in confussion. There was something she was keeping from him? Something she was afraid to say. "Just say it.." He whispered.

It took a moment or two for Bairn to take in her words. Did she just say what he thought he heard? No, that wasn't possible, it couldn't be this way. Nothing was fair, everything just got worse. "Mentally sick? Aruna my love do not blame this on yourself. Whatever you do this is not your fault." He scolded her, not wanting her to feel responsible for whatever was going on with their father.

"Blame it on your human. Not yourself. You did nothing wrong...in fact you did something good by staying away so you wouldn't end up like him." Bairn forced a small smile, just to comfort her.

The stallion just stared into his sisters eyes, feeling her pain towards their father. In truth, something was up with his mother as well...they rarely spoke with eachother...or rather she rarely stroke up a conversation. He was always the one to speak first. And she barely laughed either, it was really painfull to watch. "Something must be done, my love." Bairn spoke softly, walking up to Aruna and nuzzling his older sister.

A silent and lonely tear ran down the stallion's cheeks, thinking about the way he family was ending up. This was exactly what he was afraid off, what if this happened with Astia and him?

"I agree, dear one," she replied, golden eyes solidifying sharply. "Perhaps I should urge Father to live with you and Mother. I'll be fine, since I'm usually out so much traveling around, meeting new Soquili. I visit more often as well."

She thought for a moment, fumbling a bit for the right words to tell her brother. "If there is something to be done, we must plan carefully. How do we bring them together? Their love is rare, but at this rate, it's turning painful... I fear one day Father will turn and look to another mare, though I know he is most faithful."

Although Hania had yet to leave the teepee and socialize like the true wild Soquili he was, she worried that other mares would come by and steal his attention. Her father used to be fairly flirticious, so she often wondered. "It pains me to hear your words, dear one, but I'd rather you tell the truth than lie to me with petty, soothing words."

She and her siblings were all very sensible, though Artemis was probably the most kind out of the three of them. "It's not my fault? Perhaps it isn't, and yet, I still feel the burden." Her eyes hardened at the mention of her human. "Miakoda herself is hardly social, seeing as she is an outcast.

"I wonder what it is she did to become an outcast? We live extremely secluded in the neck of the forest." Aruna sighed. Perhaps she should stop hiding and tell her brother, after all. "Miakoda made a friend, Bairn... and... we're moving in with that friend." She looked straight into her brother's eyes, startled to see a tear, but she said nothing more, wondering how Bairn would take it.

Bairn nodded slowly, at least she was agreeing to help him do something about their parents 'seperation'. "If you could urge Father to do so, that would be lovely, but I don't want him doing something that's he's really rather not fond off. Even Mother wouldn't approve if that means leaving you alone."

He looked at his sister deeply, he could tell she was struggling with this just as much as he was. This whole thing should never have been brought upon them, but it did and now they had to fix it. "We could plan carefully yes...but we'd need help. I'm not sure as to how to bring them together..." He shrugged, thinking just as hard about this as Aruna. "You really think so? He'd do that? Then that's another thing we must watch out for, mare's that would dare wander into his life."

The stallion found it hard to believe that their father would actually find another mare that interested him as much as Mahiri did and run off with her, but if Aruna said so, he had to believe it. Their mother on the other hand wasn't the biggest flirt and wouldn't dream of cheating. "I know, the truth hurts though. I wouldn't lie to you, my love...only try to make things less painfull." Bairn smiled again, but this time watching how much emotion he put into the smile.

"Don't. It'll only hurt you worse if something happens and you keep blaming yourself. I won't allow you to blame yourself, Aruna." Suddently hatred for the human's his family lived with burned in his dark eyes. "Lalit follows his sister and Kaliska doesn't talk. They're outcasts too, in a way."

"That was perhaps her choice, and now she cannot fix it." Listening to Aruna's words, his voice hardened and his eyes shown with anger. "What? You're moving in with another human and taking father? Would this be away from my teepee? I cannot believe this Aruna, how could you let this happen?"

"Father's grown especially attached to our human..." Aruna said, eyes glinting. "I care not for humans. However, I am slowly learning to hate them... they do so many things that hurt us. We are forced to work for them, for hours on end at times, and we also must let them ride upon our backs. Father says it's not a big deal, but I see that it is unfair. Miakoda keeps silent about herself, so I'm beginning to think she did perhaps do something dreadful that led her to become an outcast."

She also figured that the human girl was slowly turning crazy because of how she lived by herself... and then, in strolled Astia's human. "I let our move to a new teepee happen on purpose, my love. To be truthful, dear one... I believe we're moving closer to your teepee. The human Miakoda is moving in with is Astia's guardian... she seems friendlier, and may pull out Miakoda's life story so that we can understand her... ah... casting out."

She shook her head. "No, I doubt Father would do that. If I know him, and trust me, I know him, he himself will be the one persuaded by the mare and will therefore... well, there's your problem. I doubt many other Soquili have visited our teepee, seeing as where we live is completely secluded... no other teepee in sight, really. One would have to find their way around many trees, which twist and swerve and such that causes confusion.

"I do often wonder if Father would find another mare that would catch his interest like Mother did, but I doubt it. I have often times caught him staring at objects that resemble the color of Mother's coat. I doubt we would need help... ah...!" Aruna gasped as an idea came to her. "My mate! Delano! An opportune moment! I would he meet you, and Father, and Mother... and perhaps, we can have his help and bringing them together." She liked that idea.

Very much so... Delano could meet her parents and brother, and... that meant bringing her parents together to meet her handsome mate! "What do you think, brother? A plan in the making?"

"That was a mistake on his part then, although Mother is rather fond of Lalit if I must say." Bairn's voice softed even more, this whole conversation was getting very upsetting. But in truth, he knew it was helping them both deal with their problems. "Humans are wretched creatures, they really don't deserve to live among us. If your human did something horrible, you have to find out. That thing she did could possibly harm father."

"Closer?" The stallion perked up a little, at the thought. But still it bothered him that her human was moving in with someone else and not his humans. "Astia's guardian? What? I...oh things just keep getting better and better, don't they?" Bairn rolled his eyes, that was just his luck. "Ah, I guess if it helps understand your human, I'm ok with it."

Aruna's next words made him almost laugh. They were slightly reassuring words. "Well that's good. If the mare is that desperate, let her come. But I doubt anyone would want to travel so very far for only a sad, lonely, mated stallion."

"Well as long as you know Father well enough like you say, then we shouldn't have to worry about another mare. And really? That's quite interesting. Mother looks at me sometimes as if I was Father and not her son. I guess our colors are similiar in her eyes." Bairn's ears perked up again when Aruna came up with the perfect plan.

Smiling again, Bairn nodded. "An excellent plan in the making, my dear. An excellent plan in the making."
