heart heart I served in the California Santa Rosa mission from May 97 to Nov 98. heart heart
(yeah, if you look at the dates, I only served 17 out of 18 months, but I asked to come home a month early because my sister was terminally ill at the time, and we didn't know how long she had. She actually died Halloween of 2000, but I don't regret coming home to spend the holidays with her while I still could.)

Actually, I would like to go any number of places. I guess my one qualification would be "outside of the United States". on second though, i don't think I want to go anywhere in the American continents. I'd rather go somewhere in the Eastern continents.
When I was little, I wanted to go to Japan. One of my dad's employees ((One of our favorites, cause he was good with, and liked kids)) had a wife from Japan. She tought me a few words of Japanese er I went to Kindegarten. For the longest time, I wanted to go to Japan.
Later, I wanted to go to France. My Grandpa is a retired French Professor. I did a report/presentation on France in 6th grade. I started taking French in 7th grade. I never really learned French, because I dropped out into homeschool halfway through the school year. sweatdrop But I was fascinated by what I'd learned. My dad speaks French too . . .
But now, like I sid, I'd like to go any number of places. And I'd really like to learn a new language. 3nodding Not to say I wouldn't mind going on my mission in England . . . But I'm pretty open minded about it all.

I wanted to go on an ASL mission, and sort of thought I would. I think the one place I didn't so much want to go was Texas because 1) I *HATE* to be HOT sweatdrop and 2) I was in a rebellion thing with my dad and HE went to Texas. So where does God and His sense of humor send me?

When I graduate high school i will have taken five years of French, and I want to be a French major as well, so anywhere French speaking would be great, though I'll go anywhere I'm needed.
I hate eggs and I hate fish and I hate wasabi, so I think I might die if I had to go to Japan. That's where my dad went, actually.
What's funny is the tallest, skinniest, most caucasian-looking, gangly member of our ward served in Japan, and you would never think of Brother Dudley ever going there!

I think he liked it a lot, but if I'm not mistaken, he said that he and his companion, or another pair of missionaries were in a stick up with the mob there. It was a fascinating story. Well, then again, that was during the mid 90s. Things could be different now.

I would love to go anywhere foreign. Especially Europe. But I wouldn't mind the U.S. too, just as long as it's the east coast! I just love it over there! It's so green and beautiful, unlike the desert where I live (AZ).
