Kamiki's Diary Dear Diary-
I think Mai is mute. She seems to comprehend what I'm saying- quite well for her age- but she's yet to utter a word. I can see her mouthing them sometimes- like she's trying to say something, like "mamma" or "sleepy" but she just can't get them out.
I don't know what to do to help her- or if I should do anything. I think I'm going to try and start teaching her the alphabet- get her a pretty notebook and some big crayons for her to learn on. After all, she has got to have some way to express herself, even id she unable to speak for some reason.
I wonder if there is a reason. I've heard that being mute is usually a psychological condition more than a physical one. I know she's capable of at least making guttural sounds- when she falls over or is really frightened some noise will come from her.
I should do some research on that. And go buy her some toys and the like. Looks like it's a shopping day for me!

Alternative Methods of Expression
Kamiki sat down in Mai's room and called her over. The little centaur girl climbed off her pillow and toddled over. She had gotten rather good at walking- like most hooved animals do, and while she wasn't the most graceful thing on four legs, she certainly was mobile.
Kamiki gave her a hug and pulled a bag from behind her back. She had been shopping that morning, and had a whole new pile of surprises for Kitsumai. She pulled out a large (well, large for Mai) blank sketchbook.
"This," Kamiki said as she placed the book on the ground and opened it, "is for you. You see, you can use these-" Kamiki reached in her back and pulled out a carton of easy-grip, non-toxic crayons, "to write in here. Or draw! Do whatever you feel like."
Kitsumai watched on, interested, but seemed alittle confused. She took one of the large, clumsy looking crayons and held in her hand. She inspected it closely, not fully grabbing its concept.
Smiling warmly, Kamiki pulled out the purple crayon and wrote 'Hello' in big, block letters on the paper. Mai smiled as she watched, then looked to her mother as if asking if she could try. Kamiki nodded towards the paper and Mai positioned herself so that her horse-body was laying. Her face lit up with delight as a bright red mark appeared where she scraped her Crayon across the page. She looked at the word her momma wrote, and tried to copy it- briefly- but about three second in got too excited and just started scribbling across the page.
Kamiki's heart lightened as she saw the look of utter delight on Kitsumai's face as she played. She began to experiment with different colors and scribblings. Kamiki waited until Mai had almost completely colored in the first page before she interrupted with the fourth gift.
"This," she said, "Is what they call an EmoBag. But its juts a bag- here, I'll show how you can wear it!" She lifted up Mai's arm and slid the purse down her torso, so that it rested comfortably on the hip between her waist and her front kirin legs. "You can take these toys anywhere you go," she said, and began to put the crayons in the bag.
Kitsumai seemed to get the concept, but she quickly pulled all the crayons back out and went back to coloring.

An egg!
Kamiki walks into Kitsumai's room. Time for more gift-bearing!
Mai-Ly, K-Mai's new full-time babysitter, smiled at Kamiki and bowed her head, slithering back to let Kamiki talk to her daughter.
K-Mai was happily coloring on the floor when she looked up and saw "mommy." Happily she put down her crayon, stood up, and walked over to her, hugging Kamiki around her waist with her chubby little arms.
Leaning down, Kamiki pulled out a small egg from a pocket in her robes. It was about the size of a large walnut, with an off-white leathery shell. K-Mail immediately went to grab for it, but Kamiki gently pulled it out of reach. "No, no, you have to be gentle. Its just an egg." Kamiki set the egg on the counter and set up a glass terrarium on the floor neat K-Mai's window. "Very gently, put the egg in there."
Doing as she was told, K-Mai very, very slowly picked up the little egg and placed it in the glass box, looking up at Kamiki proudly.
"Good girl. In a few days, that egg should hatch into alittle lizard! And its going to be all yours!"
The centaur's face broke into a grin as she flipped her multiple tails happily.
"A lizard, like a baby dragon. You are part dragon you know?"
Kamiki doubted K-Mai comprehended what she was saying at this point, but giving the tone in her mother's voice, she nodded her head enthusiastically and rushed over to the tank to watch the egg.
"A watched pot never boils."
K-Mai gave a confused look to her mother before turning her attention back to the little egg. Chuckling, Kamiki nodded her thanks to Mai-Ly and headed back towards the clinic.

Kamiki's Diary Gavin is finally here! I can't believe it. Its been almost a week but this is the first time I've had a chance to sit and write about him. He's beautiful and completely healthy. He has fox ears and tail like his mother, but claws and teeth like his father. There are even a few shadowy wisps that come off the tips of his ears. He's rather fussy… but I guess it could be worse. He doesn't cry all that much, but he's constantly gurgling and wiggling as if he's unhappy about something. He's already trying to sit up, but not with very much success. Something that I think frustrates him to no end. He's going to have his father's curiosity streak I can tell.
Purrpurr loves him, but her recent melancholy state has kept her from spending as much time with her as I think she would like. When she holds him, you can see a sadness in her eyes. I'm pretty sure she believes Morion is gone that she will never have children of her own. That very well may be true if she decides to become an ancient- but when she gets older I know she will make a great mother, either through adoption or through my clinic.
Kistumai, of course, is only a baby herself. She stared entranced at each other for several moments, both of them mesmerized by he alien appearance of each other. I do believe they will get along wonderfully.
As for Gavin himself, he's already gotten some presents. Kaioto Katsuma brought him an adorable plush jester with little bells. Oh, how Gavin loves it! He shakes it to the best of his ability, his face lighting up in delight at the sound of the bells. Sometimes it seems as if he can't get enough of it. Neith anf Kochi's girls, Whinny and Elle, drew our family a beautiful picture as well.
SevenTen bought me a pair of sandals that are absolutely -perfect- to wear around the house as well. I love them- ts exactly what a new mother needs.
Anyway, I should be off to work. Gavin is coming with me today. Simon is going to be his official babysitter, since Purrpurr is quite old enough to take of herself-but as for now he isn't leaving my sight unless he is with his father!

The Arrival of the Leopard Gecko
Kitsumai's three tails swished back and forth with excitement as the little leathery egg she was watching finally began to wiggle. Mai-Ly watched her from across the room, making sure she didn't inadvertently do something that might cause harm.
Kitsumai was very impatient, bouncing from one hoof to the other as the little lizard struggled its way from its small prison. Several times Kitsu stuck her hand in the cages going to give it a "helping hand" only to have Mai-Ly click her tonque at her. Well behaved Kitsu pouted and planted her behind on the floor in a sitting position, looking back desperately at her caretaker.
Mai-ly slithered over and strokes her hair. "You have to be patient, Little One," she said. "The baby is gaining a lot of strength by making her do this herself and not have any help. We are right here watching in case anything goes wrong. She is always scared…she doesn't know you that you won't hurt her."
The reassurance placated Kitsumai slightly, and she stuck her nose against the cool glass of the terrarium.
After what seems like hours, the little yellow-and-black striped creature was full emerged from her egg and took a few wary steps around her home. A very excited Kitsumai looked up at her babysitter desperately. Mai-Ly gave a solemn nod, and Kitsu hurriedly reached her arm into the terrarium.
"Be gentle!" the Nagah cautioned.
Being as careful as she could manage, Kitsumai prodded the lizard up onto her hands. Proudly, she turned to Mai-Ly and showed her.
"Do you want to go show Mommy?" she asked.
The taur nodded back enthusiastically.
"All right then, be very gentle…" My-Ly took Kitsumai's freehand and walked her out of the room to go find Kamiki.

Observations
Kamiki watched on proudly as Kitsumai played in the rose garden. She was getting less clumsy with her skinny hoofed legs everyday. While she could walk from the moment Kamiki found her, she always seemed very awkward and uncertain on her stilt-like feet. But by now the little taurling had plenty of practice with balance and was even abel to run and prance around a bit. She occasionally would fall down, something she reacted to with much embarrassment and a few silent tears, but her confidence in her movement was growing. Sometimes, she even looked close to graceful.
She always carried around her emo bag, which she wore by slipping it over her head and let it rest around the "waist" between her human torso and her kirin torso. She kept her sketchbook and crayons in it so they were always quickly accessible.
Instead of wearing clothes on her upper body, Kamiki bought Kitsumai an assortment of colorful, large, and bold silk ribbons. Normal childhood clothing looking very odd on her, according to Kamiki, especially since her shape didn't lend well to wearing pants. So every morning Kamiki let Kitsumai pick out a ribbon and she would tie it around her torso, under her arms, and bow it front over were her cleavage would be if she had any. This was all the clothing Kamiki figured she needed, and incidentally, all Kitsumai wanted. On the few occasions where Purrpurr her Mai-Ly would attempt to "doll" her up anymore than that, Kitsumai would fuss until you took it off.
Now, when I say "fuss" I mean in the way that Kitsumai does it. A "fuss" to the silent beauty consisted on many pitiful looking facial expressions that gave an obvious signal of distaste. She also tugs and pulls on you, giving you this pathetic, horrible, abused expression, and nuzzle you as if she was begging you to stop whatever injustices you were inflicting on her to cause this "fuss." Silent tears would slip down her face until the sheer cuteness and guilt of it all finally overcomes you!
Kamiki smiled to herself as she watched her. She had fallen very quickly in love with the girl. At first she was apprehensive about brining another baby into the house so close to her son, Gavin's birth, but looking at her today, she knew she made the right choice.

Kamiki's Diary Dear Diary-
I formally introduced Gavin to Kitsumai today. Kitsu seemed rather interested in the fussy little boy. I wouldn't let her hold him, even though she eagerly held her open arms up at me, silently begging for me to let her. Honestly, its not that I didn't trust Kitsu, I was just afraid that she is too young to understand that Gavin isn't really trying to be mean if he pulls at her hair or ears.
She did seem very delighted at meeting him, however. Her face lit up excitedly and she played with him. She took his chubby little hands in hers and made faces at him. Gavin actually seemed to rather enjoy her company.
Kitsumai's actually become very coordinated in her movements. Mai-Ly has been taking her on long walks daily, so now Kitsu can romp and play around very efficiently. She's also strong her age, due to the fact that she can balance her weight on her four feet, I've seen her redecorate her room a bit before, lifting up rather heavy objects and carrying them.
Kitsumai's room is quite beautiful and soft. Unlike Purrpurr's room, which is excessive in its colors, perfumes, and decor, Kitsu's is much more minimalist. It's white walls have sheer, lightweight violet curtains framing the large window. Since Kitsu cannot sit in normal chairs, there are large cushioned pillows in the room in pace of chairs. Her table is very low to the ground, to accommodate. She has a tank stand for her leopard gecko cage, and her waredrobe and chest are made from pine wood. Similarly to the chairs, Kitsumai has a large nest-like frame and cushion that she uses in place of a bed.
Sorry for rambling- its just nice to finally have a few minutes alone. Gavin sure has been keeping me busy!

Kamiki's Diary Dear Diary,
Sorry for the delay in writings? things have been so busy around the house.
Kitsumai is doing so wonderfully! She still has yet to utter a word, so her mutism is confirmed in my mind. But I am determined to not let this hamper her! She has learned to communicate with me through gestures or pictures she draws on her paper. She can tell me she's hungry by rubbing her belly, and she can tell me what she wants by pointing, or drawing a pizza on the paper. She's very affectionate, and is really coming out of her shell. I've started to teach her the alphabet, so very soon I suspect she will be able to write out what she wants to say.
She doesn't just draw what she wants, either. Her art is really an outlet for her emotions. She is constantly drawing it seems, and she looks so happy doing it.

Kamiki Lucifer Force (( *is here!* But only for an hour or so. 3nodding )) Lucifer Force Lu suddenly sat up from her sleeping position on the floor. Gyre's teeth were lodged firmly into Lu's shoulder. "OW! Do you mind?!" Gyre grunted and slobbered as a reply. She then crawled over towards Kamiki, sniffing the air. "Oh please don't chew on anyone else..." Kamiki Kamiki waves to Lu, then pryed her hand from Kitsumai. The little centaur took a few nervous steps into the room, watching the baby Gyre wearily. She did her best to smile and gave a shy wave to the baby. Lucifer Force Lu finally stood up, rubbing her shoulder and wiping the drool from her arms. "Kamiki...how are you? How's the little one?" Gyre blinked and more or less wiggled her arm in an attempt to wave. She was more distracted by the fact that Kitsu had four legs and a tail. She crawled as fast as she could to the strange baby, sniffing at her legs. "P-p-p....poooowwnie?" (( EDIT - Kamiki? You lookin' for something? )) Kamiki ((Sorry, Lu, that message I meant to send like 10 minutes before, but I got my window's crossed)) Kamiki walked over to Lu. " I've been busy, but I'm managing. Kitsu is doing well... but she needs to meet more people."Meanwhile, Kitsu stepped cautiously towards Gyre, trying not to step on her. She finally folding her legs up under her, sitting down, to be on level with the baby. Kitsu shook her head as she was called a pony. She took out her drawing pad and a crayon, and drew a horse (kind of, Kitsumai wasn't exactly Monet yet) on it, pointing. She seemed proud. Thats a pony!((Edit, italics are thoughts, not said)) Lucifer Force (( S'okay! n_n Kitsu's so cute! )) Lu sighed and sat down on the couch nearby. "I've been trying to keep up with Gyre...Well, more like stay out of her teeth. She's been drooling all over the place. Luckily for you, though, Kitsu's so well behaved. And a very pretty color, too." Gyre wandered over to the picture, touching it. It confused her. Pony looked like this...Kitsu looked like pony, too...but, she was also like me!"Beerdpownie?" Gyre asked, examining the drawing pad. Kamiki "She is, indeed, an angel. But she's a mute, you know? Never spoken or cried a word. Its weird not hearing the voice of something you consider a daughter."Kitusmai seemed thrilled that Gyre was taking an interest in her drawing. She picked up the brown crayon and began to draw a baby next to the pony, pointing when she was done at Gyre, then back at the paper. That's you! Lucifer Force (( Sorry. I got distracted by a major donation thrown at me. eek )) "Mute? The poor thing...When I first recieved Gyre, she wouldn't stop wailing..." Gyre giggled, smiling for the first time in a week, clapping her hands. She grabbed a crayon and drew tiny wings on herself. Then, she drew a heart above the pony. "Pownie...fwend!" Kamiki Kitsumai smiled proudly, her three tails swinging back and forth happily. She handed Gyre a few more crayons, and then did her best to draw herself on the paper. Lucifer Force Gyre giggled more. Lu couldn't help but stare, surprised. "I can't believe it...she's...not pissed off?" Gyre started to draw a pony in a forest. Of course, it looked as such to her, but in reality, it was a mass of brown and green lines. Gyre took the purple crayon and made Kitsumai herself. "Fwend pownie!" Quote: Kitsumai watched and smiled. Looking down at the paper, she took the red crayon and, as best as she could manage, wrote her name and drew the arrow to the picture of herself. Quote: ((Grr, I have to go make lunch for myself before my stomach starts eating itself. Be back in a few))
Kamiki shrugged at Lu. "Partly, I guess. You know... I had a ...vision..or a dream.. or something, before she came to me.. and there was this creature... she looked like a mix between a centaur, a dragon, and a fox. I've never seen anything like it. I guess thats what Kitsumai is...partly at least." Airez Entering into the complex was Airez, once more, thoguh not dawning his usual dark attire. Instead, he wore more plain clothing; a white shirt, as well as gloves, pants, and his usual boots. Not to mention the obvious lack of his usual scarf when visaiting the area. Looking around, he noticed a pair of children he hadn't been introduced, though he felt the need to establish his presence first. "Excuse me," called the platinum eyed man as he walked up behind hte fox-eared woman, offering a soft smile for a greeting before turning his sights to the children. "I take it these are your little ones?" Neko Girl Neko opened the door to the headquarters slowly, peering inside a bit cautiously. In one arm was Demare, the poor child clinging desperately onto his guardian's red shirt as a white eye glanced nervously over his shoulder, his wings drawn close to his back. There was something different from Neko's past visits, however; the demon hanyou looked terribly confused. Noticing a couple of other guardians inside, she forced herself to calm down and stepped into the room, closing the door carefully behind her.
"Look, Demare..." she said softly to her child. "Other legends. Do you know either of them?"Demare blinked a few times, looking toward the two girls on the ground, a bit wary of the fact that one seemed to be half horse, and the other had a very large mask on her head. He looked up to Neko a bit shyly, shaking his head slowly. He'd never seen those two before.The demon hanyou smiled a little bit, flicking her tail as she stepped closer to the other two guardians. "Well, let's go see if they'd like to meet you, shall we?"Demare's bi-colored eyes narrowed slightly for a moment, but soon grew back to being large as they neared the unfamiliar group. They weren't scary, right? They would be nice... right? Lucifer Force Lu blinked. "A dream? I never had a dream about Gyre...I wonder...why did you have a dream about Kitsu? Is she... from your dream?" (( Ergh...I gotta go. Pretend Lu's still hangin'...or whatever you feel she needs to be doing. 3nodding ))
Kamiki smiled warmly at Airez. "Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Kamiki, and the little girl over, the taur, is mine. Her name is Kitsumai."Airez "Kamiki?" asked the suddenly surprised seeming Airez, narrowing his eyes before letting the sudden mask of concern disappear, "I believe I've heard your name wander about here and there. I visited your facility some time ago with Britain. I'd be lying if I said I was envious of your work." As an amused look passed over his face, the man stood up and offered a hand out towards the kitsune, "I can stand babies, though the ones that can talk and scream aren't too favorable in my eyes. Not to mention the ones that can run around and knock things over." Quote: "Why thank you very much," she said as she took his hand. "Nothing is done alone. Unfortunately, I Have to be going for a while. I will hopefully be back soon."
She collected Kitsumai and gave a last smile to Airez and Lu before heading out.

Orphne A young woman sidles down the walkway with a light paper parcel in hand, a neat crimson, satin ribbon fastened about the exterior. Waya clings to her shirt hem as the pair stroll up to the front door and set the parcel down.
The little wolf-boy sifts through a pouch at his side and pulls out a small piece of parchment, tucks it under the knot in the ribbon, and smiles up at Orphne. He leans forward as the woman backs away slowly, and he stabs the doorbell with a quick jab of his finger, then dodges out of the way and runs down the walk to catch up with his mother.
The two kiss the house good-bye and race eachother cheerily down the street to the next home.Inside the note they

Faevan "Go on." Faevan parked her car by the curb, checking the address again. "This is it." Prana nodded her head, getting out of the car and carefully carrying a small cardboard box with little holes in it. A muffled "ribbit" drifted out of one of the holes, and she left it gently on the doorstep with a smile, turning back to the car. On top of the box, she left a note. It fluttered in the breeze as the Legend and her Guardian drove away into the afternoon.Note for Kitsumai Hi Kitsumai, I caught these yesterday when I was out with my Mom, and thought you might like to have one. Kamiki Kamiki walks in, Kitsumai at her side, holding her hand.
As always, the little kiren girl is shy at first and sticks close to her mom. She's wearing her signature big purple ribbon for a shirt, and her bag full of sketch pad and pencils is hanging on the waist between her human and kiren torso.
Kamiki dislodges her hands from hers when they get into the room, giving her an encouraging smile. Britain ((Envy is SUCH a sweetheart, be a noisy lurker! xd )) Keita giggled a moment more, and then heard a familiar voice! He wriggled his way out from under the cloak, peering at Airez and grinning. "MRR! MrrrRRrrr! Smile!" And who was that OTHER person, with four feet?!? And there was Karan, too!Brit glanced up, grinning at her two friends as they stepped inside. "Kamiki! Airez! It's so good to see you!" She moved over to Kamiki, smiling at the little one. "And who is this...?" ((EDIT: *lays claim to 977* BOOYAH.)) Kamiki Kamiki's eyes widened when she saw her old friend. "Hey Britain!" heart She gave her a quick hug, then motioned Kitsu over.
The little centaur came close and gave Britain and ice-melting smile. She reached out her hand to Britain, wanting to shake it. Then she pulls out her sketch pad from her bag and opens to the first page, where, written in large, block child-writing is her name, KITSUMAI, decorated with a lizard and some flowers in bright crayola colors. Huni Pi Huni recognized Airez from the day she first brought Linneas to the HQ. She wasn't formally introduced to him and decided it was best to keep quiet. She was enjoying the toasty silence on the chair she sat in. Linneas finally managed to get out from under the cloak, and noticed two more babies had arrived. Kitsumai attracted his attention more than Karan as he had never seen a Kirin before. Without thinking, he crawled over to her, broom plushie in hand. The others wouldn't mind, at least he thought they wouldn't mind if he went to meet this new Legend. Kamiki Kitsumai looked down at the baby at her hooved, smiling and holding out the sketch pad with her name out for him to see, too, not fully comprehending that the little one probably couldn't read yet. Huni Pi Linneas cooed at the sketchpad, gingerly tracing the words with his fingers. "Pree~" he giggled, then pointed to himself "Leenee." Britain "It's very nice to meet you, Kitsumai," Brit said somberly, green eyes sparkling. "That's Keita over there...he might like to make friends with you!" She straightened, turning her eyes back to Kamiki. "Hey, Doc, I know it's probably not the best time, but I found an article that's made me really worried about Ransom...do you have any appointments free soon to check on him?" Keita, of course, adored Airez. How could he not?! He reared back a bit and butted into him hard, giggling to himself.Sajhiri Sajhiri made her way in looking a bit confused. "Now I KNOW this isn't where I was trying to get. Ah well I guess I can ask...er...Kamiki?" She blinked a few times as she realized her friend was here. "Hey 'Miki! What are you doing here? For that matter, where is here? That's the last time I let Averno give me directions anywhere." She grinned. Kamiki Kitsumai nodded to Miss Britain and then back down to Linny. She took out a crayon, flipped to a new page and wrote "Linnee" on it in blue crayon, before walking towards Keita, motioning for Linny to come with her.

More friensd were comming! She waved happily to Karan and called out, "UNCAUNCA!" When she saw Airez, making grabby hands towards him. Pink waved to everyone as they all came over. "Hihi Airez and Kamiki and DS!" In the corner of Guinevere's eye she thought she saw a baby all the way over by the mommies and daddies. "Baby come here?" She showed the baby her name, pointing, as introduction. Britain Keita smiled with wicked charm up at Prana, his dark green eyes dancing as he pulled himself straighter. "Pwetty," he purred, laughing a bit and flicking an ear impudently at Airez. "Prrrrpretty.""I think he feels fine...but it has to do with those vials from Halloween," Brit told Kamiki, and sighed. "I'm just worried." Kamiki "Of course you are. Thats normal. Well, to be worries. I've give him a through examination!"
((And Brit, if you want to RP it one your own time since I've been so busy, I can tell you now that Kamiki would find him 100% healthy at the time ^_~ )) Sajhiri Jhiri got a googly eyed "Awwwww" expression on her face as she looked at the little centaur. "That's too cute for words. Wherever did you find him?" she asked the 'Princess of Purple'. Her eyes flitted about to take in the rest of the plethora of little ones running about. "Is this some sort of daycare for...exceptional kids?" Kamiki "Actually, Sah, funny story. I had a dream, and when I woke up, she was in my arms. I'm quite confuzzled. But I don't question it, ya know. I think I'm some kind of hub for kitsunes in need. She's .. part kitsune at least. I think. She has fox tails. I've never seen anything exactly like her, though.

She can't help but grin at all the behbehs though. "They're all so cute, and so...different." Well yes, having a horse's lower body and kitsune tails should qualify anyone as different. Pink Lemonade Guinievere giggled happily as she was picked up and snuggled against Keita and Unca, the ones that were the cloest to her. She watched sadly as all the legends started breaking off into their own groups. She wanted a big hug, from all of them. If they went off seperately, how would she obtain her goal? She thought about that for a long time till she noticed the legend she had never seen before with the new baby she just met today making their rounds. "OVER HERE!" She called excitedly, wanting them to come closer to her. This new legend looked fluffy and she wanted to double check. Pink smiled and replied with a "hey" of her own to Kamiki and waved to Sajhiri, not noticing her comming in earlier. "I don't know about acceptional..." Pink said, responding to her question. "It's like a big place, were all the mommies and daddies of these...kind of children come to interact with one another." She summed up as best she could. Britain ((Gotcha, Kamiki heart )) "Okay. I'll make a point to come by- just to be safe." Brit looked decidedly relieved, and made her way back to the fire. STILL cold...bah. Prana wasn't paying attention to him anymore! Neither was Airez...suddenly, Keita felt left out again, just like...the other day, with the woof! The thought of Waya made him sad again, and he peered around as if expecting him to arrive. When the door did not open, he hunched down a bit, eyes mournful.Kamiki Kamiki frowned at Sajhiri. "Purrpurr ran away. Morion didn't want to see her anymore, and I think she was starting to feel for Mordath, but he's seeing someone else last I heard. Before I even new what was happening, she convinced Mordath to take to the fey realm. Thats the last I've heard from her. THat was before Thanksgiving. I missed her birthday and everything..." Sajhiri Sajhiri set a gentle hand on Kamiki's shoulder. "I'm so sorry, but she's your daughter, I'm sure no matter how hurt she feels by a boy, she'll come back to you. She might just need a little time to gather herself. I remember my teen years. Every little thing was the end of the world or the best thing ever. Hormones raging, emotions screeching, just give her some time. If you need someone to talk to, 'Miki, you know I'm always here." Kamiki "Thanks, 'Jhiri. I'm sure she'll come home. Just.. I still miss her. I'm just so worried. She was hurt pretty bad." Sajhiri Sajhiri squeezed Kamiki's shoulder. "Perhaps I could try to do a foretelling if you'd like, to divine some inkling of when she'll return?" When, not if, she choose her words carefully. Kamiki looked to Jhiri. "You can do that, hunh? Er, I dunno... I dunno how I feel about that kind of stuff..." Sajhiri Jhiri nodded. "One of the gifts I still retain while I reside here. I am, by birth, an Oracle. But if you find it uncomfortable I do not need to do any foretellings. I find it wise to wish to learn the future when it becomes the present, rather than seek it out ahead of time." Kamiki "I didn't know you were an Oracle. Wow, I guess you learn something new everyday.
Ya know, I wasn't a kitsune until I came to Gaia. I think I was possessed.. or gifted, or something. I have the most amazing dreams sometimes. I honestly think that how I keep dreaming and finding all these children..." Sajhiri Jhiri smiled. "I was an oracle when I was mortal. It came with me when I passed on and ascended. It's not an exact science of course. The future is a liquid thing, every flowing, but changing as it needs to when things get in its way." Kamiki "How did you get to Gaia? When I first came, I didn't remember anything about my life before. But its mostly come back to me now. Needless to say, I like it better here." Sajhiri Sajhiri's smile turned a bit secretive. "I was sent here for a purpose. One not always clear to me, but it will be clearer when the time is near for my duty to be fulfilled. My mortal life was so long ago, it is sometimes a bit fuzzy to try and recall specific things. But I came to Gaia from the gates where I served as Guardian of the Portals." Kamiki's eyes drifted over to Kitsumai who was sitting on the floor, drawing pictures of everyone she saw blissfully in her sketchbook. Without even thinking she smiled, not only thinking of Kitsumai, but of Gavin, Purrpurr, and Jennifer, her newest adoption, amoung others. "You think it was something to do with them?" Sajhiri Sajhiri nodded her head. "I've an inkling they are at least a large part of it, with a certain Mister Duvert being another part of it." Kamiki ((@Hun: I'm trying ! ))
Kitsumai smiled and let Linny take the pad. She offered him a bright orange crayon and motioned to the page. She loved it when others drew in her pad. It was like her personal little autograph book.
Kamiki frowned again at the mention of Sabin. "Yeah, Sabin... ya know, I worry sometimes. Sabin and I met a lady that Sabin knew when he was married. She hates me, because she seems to think I stole him away from his wife. Which isn't true! She died before Sabin even came to Gaia. But she couldn't even believe me when I told her I was with him now. I can tell he misses her a lot. I wonder if I'll ever be able to live up to her in Sabin's mind..." Faevan Prana looked down at Guinny, and heard her clappinh. L surprised oking about,a bit nervously, she cleared her throat...

She bellowed over all the noise. Here green eyes looked pertified, but maybe, just maybe, everyone would listen. Huni Pi ((@kamiki - sorry, thought you had missed it n.n)) Linneas squealed in delight at the offer of the crayon. He set about doodling, but the oddest image emerged. It was what appeared to be a bucket, and a mop with a long scribble holding them."Wow, I'm like the anti-thesis of gracefulness. I trip over my own two feet." Huni laughed.Sajhiri Sajhiri's eyes nearly fall out of her head. "Sabin was married? I never knew that. What happened to his wife? I'm sorry someone is being so awful to you, 'Miki, you don't deserve that kind of treatment." Kamiki Kamiki opened her mouth to respond to Jhiri when she heard someone yell for everyone's attention.
Kitsu also turned her attention from the coloring, looking up at the yelling Legend. Sajhiri Jhiri's head snapped around at the yell and she quieted to listen. Faevan Faevan looked up suddenly. The room was starting to fall quiet, and there in the middle, holding Keita and Guinny, was Prana? The poor girl looked so uncomfortable too. "I wonder what's up?" Faevan whispered, mostly to herself, listening to her daughter. "Uh...I...uh...Guinny wants all the Legends...." She held her breath for a secondm before deciding to just blurt it out. "Guinny wants everyone to give her a hug!" Her cheeks were red by this point, and her head was retreating into her fur collar to hide that. but there, she did it! She said it.Sajhiri Jhiri murmured quietly "That's so cute." She grinned at Kamiki. "How did you end up with cute and I ended up with Saevire?" Her rambunctious aduthule was quite a handful indeed. Kamiki A hug? Kitsumai smiled and immediately trotted up to Prana and Ginny. She waved at them and held out her arms expectantly.
Kamiki turned her attention back to Jhiri. "Ah, yeah... he was married before he came to Gaia. For like... 200 years or something crazy like that. She died in some kind of accident." Sajhiri Sajhiri's nose wrinkled a bit. "200 years eh? That's pretty impressive. But he's moved on and mourned and found love again. Why can't this lady understand that?" Kamiki "I dunno, I mean, I dunno if she HATES me. I just think she doubts I'm as good at Samantha. Apparantly they were very good friends a while ago." Sajhiri Sajhiri hugged the little girl before stepping back to let her hug the rest of those lined up for it. "Nothing nicer than a hug. Peronally, I rate them better than kisses. But that's just me." She moved back to where Kamiki and the little 'taur were. "Samantha...hm...my muse seems to think I should know something of her, but it's eluding me at the moment." Kamiki "You want to hear something weird? The fox I was hunting when I came to Gaia ended up naming himself Simon. And apparantly, Samantha had a familiar fox named Simon as well. Thats not... just a weird coincidence is it?" Sajhiri Sajhiri pondered Kamiki's words. A slender finger tapped against her chin. "And you say you have no recollection of your life before Gaia? What about Sabin, when you first met him, was there any sort of connection you felt to him?" Kamiki "Well, my life before Gaia is slowly coming back. But it feels... very far away. Like my coming here wasn't instantaneous.
And yeah, I mean, we really hit it off. Everyone thought I wasn't really Sabin's type, ya know? But things were going so well.
*cough* Though Gavin really helped push us along, if you catch my drift." Sajhiri Sajhiri chuckled. "I can imagine. I'm wondering...you say this Samantha died...but there seems to be so much you share in common with her, including a bond to Sabin. And Sabin, having loved someone for 2 centuries, surely wouldn't enter a relationship lightly. I wonder if, perhaps, you and she are closer than you think? Perhaps your spirit and hers are one in the same? I don't know if you believe in reincarnation, or in alternate universes, but I'm inclined to think something of the sort could be at work here." Her golden eyes flitted towards the opening door and the strange beings who entered it. She looked them over curiously. Kamiki Sajhiri's words seemed to hit Kamiki like a ton of bricks.
Could it have been possible? I mean, maybe... she never really thought abuot reincarnation or anything... but ... Purrpurr was a reincarnation of Titania.
Why wouldn't it be possible...?
"Uh... I think I have to go..." Kamiki stammered, suddenly REALLY needing to talk to Sabin. "Thank you..."
She gathered Kitsu up quickly and nearly ran for the door. Sajhiri Sajhiri smiled and nodded. "Perhaps we'll run into each other here again sometime. If not, I'm sure I'll see you around and about. Take care 'Miki."
