Kairi is my favorite character! I can't see why anyone would hate her! She's pretty and she has a nice pesonality... I don't get these hate threads...

I don't hate Kairi. She didn't do anything to make people hate her.

ParanoidEmo i found this website that has a list of reasons why they hate Kairi: http://rikuonline.w2r.net/Hate_Kairi.html Okay about five of those freakin' reasons are the same gawd damn thing! Excuse my French. And it is NOT Kairi's fault for RIku joining the darkness! What did her lifeless body sudden came out and whispered "Riku, join the darkness because I said so!" WRONG. Kairi was UNCONSCIENCE during all of this! And Riku had the choice of going with the darkness or saving Kairi the RIGHT way, and he chose to go with the darkness. Nothing on Riku here, I happen to love Riku myself, he's awsome, but Im saying that it was his OWN fault or possibly the dark Ansem's fault as we saw him posessing Riku in the end of the game. And it also says Kairi doesn't care about Riku. Maybe it's just because she wasn't AS close to him as she was with Sora. If you liked a guy and he had a best friend, you were friends with this guy too, who would you rather spend time with? I think that is obvious. Besides, when Kairi said lets go off, just the two of us", she corrected herself in saying "JUst kidding!" ANd don't even start because I know a good percent of you Kairi-haters have done something similiar to this! When Sora said "You're the one who's changed Kairi" she said "Yeah, maybe." Meaning she was thinking about what she said. Kairi does care about Riku, her feelings for him are just overshadowed by her stronger feelings for Sora. I find Kairi to be in the same position as Sakura from Naruto. These main female characters both have REAL personalities that many of the viewers share. So don't hate them because they are like you!

Kairi does nothing to be hated. I mean, she wasn't even in Chain of Memories, they just kept mentioning her. And with the "It being Kairi's fault for Riku joining the darkness" thing, Riku was meant to be one with the darkness, but he was also meant to be a Keyblade holder, so in effect he was meant to walk the middle road. Riku's power is tied to the Darkness AND the Keyblade, and therefore he needed to get the darkness to have full power, so all works out. And what kind of power does Riku have? Yes, it is the darkness, but it's his darkness. That's why he defeated Ansem. (The Heartless one)

hakari-kun yuki-san86 I hate Kairi in the first KH (sorry) But not in KH2. I don't know I guss its just one of those things where you hate something but you don't know why. I also absolutely positivley HATE Areith from Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. >:3 May I ask why you hate Areith I really don't know. I just don't like her.

No reason to hate her for me, but she is a little slow on some things. Too dainty for my tastes.

Kairi annoyed me in Kingdom Hearts 1 for the sheer fact that she's the classic "damsel in distress". A princess with her heart gone, she's a lifeless puppet who can't do anything. I didn't hate her, but I didn't like her.
I loved her in KH2, however. She actually did more, and stood up for herself, I loved it. :]

It's not like I don't care
We are not going anywhere
I actually didn't pay her much attention. I normally hate females who play the "damsel in distress" part, but that's if I actually pay attention to them. Kairi's not the case.
For me it's like those "main" characters that you actually don't care about. I mean, I like her relationship with Sora and all that, but the way she played her role in the game wasn't as impressive/memorable as it needed to be being a Princess of the Heart and all that.

Mikrana I... do not understand this violent hatred of Kairi and other female protagonists. eek I really admire Kairi as a character -- in both the games. Personally, she's one of my favorite female characters. I admire Kairi too. 3nodding She's very supportive of her friends, and she TRIES to do something - she doesn't just sit back and scream, "OMG save me Sora! Riku!" It's not like that at all. I read a lot of fanfiction and she's turned into a completely different person just because the author doesn't like her. I don't get the hatred toward female protagonists either. cry

personally, i adore Kairi. i think she's just one of the best things in KH...
i'm so fond of her. i don't understand why anyone would want to hate her, unless it were out of fangirl jealousy. xp
