1313.EXE Alec Redion sure, it doesn't matter, i was just making a point: there are great decks, there are decent decks, but there is no "best deck" -shufflin' and consistency, that's wha' matter's. 3nodding and a little bit 'O luck with the opposing cut...

i rephrased, using different vocabulary, that had nothing to do with the word "luck", because you don't believe in it. It is the human factor

The "best" deck in the format does not have to beat every other deck to be called so. In the past T2, White Weenie beat the hell out of Affinity. R/G was pretty damn good against Affinity as well. Affinity was still the best deck in the format with nobody even in a distant second.
Right now, the deck with the highest number of really good relevant matchups is Mono-U. A correct build beats Tooth with consistency. Ponza loses to it. U/G tends to take a dive. Mono-G only wins if it plops down an extremely quick Troll Ascetic. White Weenie doesn't even have a chance. Sure, Mono-U doesn't beat every deck in the format, but it's got positive matchups versus a hell of a lot, and it's hard to hate, meaning that its bad matchups aren't really all that bad.
Mono-U is king right now.

where i play there are four tooth decks, 1 mono Gr, 3 WW, 1 RDW, 1 mono U, a seven land belcher, and a couple of little tribal decks. my mono Bk has consistantly F$$$$$$$ them up and took the prize. also, two of the players go to regionals. they are the only ones that will get me off track. for those two, i have had to change my deck to bk bu to beat them, but that opens me up to the mono gr for a loss and it also opens me up for a loss against the 7 land belcher. so there is no best deck. kiki jiki ruled for a little while then bit the dust in all but T&N. and there is nothing wrong with rogue decks, in fact, i prefer them due to the fact that people dont know what to expect. they can prepare for the mainstream decks, but not for the rogues.
