The balance was indeed a complicated thing, ellusive to mortals and often misunderstood by even gods. Often those that sought to disrupt it, only aided it's preservation. And though it required his watchful eye, it wasn't as fragile as most might think.

But even so, it seemed that the balance had been adversely affected by his absence, that it had lingered to long n one side of the cycle. The small god would have to bring about a change, to shift the cycle and ensure the preservation of the blance.

His tail flicked, wings fluttering in the light breeze.

"The day grows late and I fear I have taken too much of your time. I'm afraid I must take my leave for now, but we will surely meet again. Farewell, my lady."

Spreading his wings, the white cub took to the sky, leaving the goddess behind to contemplate on his words.
