Chris Kitmyth I hear that one. When I first startted drawing, it was about a year ago. Since then Ive tried and tried and retried some more and now Im getting the hang of it. Im getting there slowlyand I dont intend to give up. Good luck. smile I gave one friend in the sixth form furry art lessons, and he was taking commissions on FurBid within a year. Anything can happen if you put your mind to it.

Haha, awesome! A couple friends of mine have been selling their stuff on this site and told me to check it out...but I've been forgetful. I think I'll take a look and see if I can sell some work myself. It would be nice to get a little income from my artwork for once.

It's seeing things like that that always make me wonder where I could take my own artwork if I felt like applying myself. My writing's always been my real priority, but when I see people I taught to draw furries from the ground up coining it in, I start to wonder...

You should totally give it a shot. Just practice until you're comfortable, or if you think you're ready, go for it. ^_^ It seems like a good way to make a little income.

Now that I've a full-time job, it's definitely my writing that's getting foregrounded, since everything's just so squeezed into a few hours at the end of the day. I just need more hours in the day. Either that or a lottery win. sad

I remember FurBid from when I was on a big anthro kick several years ago, I knew some people who did really well on that. I confess that I don't have my novels up for public viewing anyway. I'm in the lovely no-win situation of wanting to find a publisher, but being a bit on the shy side... And my vocabulary probably comes as much from my academic side as my creative one. smile

A writer friend of mine sent me an interesting article about it that you might find useful. Here's a link to a blog that has it so you don't have to sign up for NY Times

Evil Spoon Child Ah so sad Well if you ever decide to, you have a reader. Thanks. Really. smile But believe me, they'd probably be a disappointment. I lay description on with a trowel, and write dialogue about as well as George Lucas. Again, thanks. I'll take a look at that. smile I've heard of the concept of self-publishing and I'm not saying that I've ruled it out (after all, it worked for Beatrix Potter smile ). I just haven't really looked into it deeply enough.
