"Yeah, I did." Gently she pulled her hand away from her head and saw a tiny bit of blood. First she felt through her hair and got nothing, then she felt the blood trickling down her cheek. Great... she thought to herself unhappily. Fre got to her feet, determined not to let a small cut keep them from their goal. "Come on, if we don't hurry we really will lose it."

He sighed and started off again, wishing that he was allowed to use his other shadow creatures for help. Wings close, the demonic darted past the trees, obviously having run through them many a time. The orb dissapeared. Cursing lightly, he stopped. "We have to start all over, ran out of time."

If Fre was the cursing type she probably would've swore. With a hand to her cheek to keep air from rubbing on it she came to a halt beside him. "Then we'll do it again and hopefully this time it wont lead us close to cliffs or into trees."

He nodded, walking back in the direction of the Fae Clearing. Raken would have swore too, hating the fact that he could only uphold his creatures for a certain amount of time. It was his biggest power flaw.

Fre tenderly rubbed the cut on her cheek which had all but stopped bleeding by the time they reached the clearing. "Well, the bleeding stopped," she commented more to herself than to him. Of course she was still worried that the wind would tear at the scab that was probably forming, but she'd put some salve on it when she got home. "Ready to give it another go?"

Without responding, he simply made anouther orb and a fox appeared. Immediatly the creature darted off along with Raken. "Watch out for trees this time." He softly called over a shoulder.

Fre was caught a little off guard by how sudden he had taken off, but she quickly caught up. "I wasn't trying to run into the tree," she focused her eyes on the fox, aware this time of the trees, "it ran in to me." She gave him a wink as she darted across his path to the other side as the fox veered right.

Eyes narrowing slightly, he put on a boost of speed. So...she was turning this into a game was she? The demonic focused on his speed and surroundings, unlike before when he had just been following. Uncontiously he sped up to just a few feet behind the fox. The creature glanced behind itself, confuesed and slightly alarmed about this turnout. Before, it had left them in the dust and now, both were right on it's heels.

Fre internally giggled with glee. So he had caught on. Of course it wasn't her place to touch the fox and she knew better, but still she gained on the fox getting as closly as she dared without upsetting him. The fox darted left and over another dead tree and she lept over the tree, loosing some of her speed as Raken flew by her. Of course that wasn't good at all; she wanted him to succed in catching the fox but she wanted him to do it with the thought that she'd catch it first. Grinning she took off after him again, slowly gaining.

If he was aware that fre was now behind him, he would have grinned. As it was, he barely saw anything besides the ground, trees and of course, fox. Raken was close enough to hear it's paws against the ground, though far away enough to just miss it if he reached out. The fox suddenly turned right and he smoothly followed.

Without hesitation she caught up with him and passed him up. She was litteraly feet away from the fox and she was surprised at how quickly she was able to gain on him. Trying to spur him on she reached out and made a motion for the fox, but missed, not only because it suddenly bolted but it had been part of her plan. It had hardly gotten that far ahead of them but she tried her best to catch up to it.

He just saw her hand reach for the fox before it darted off. She was ahead of him. Raken put on one last burst of speed, his arm brushing lightly against hers as she passed her.

His arm rubbing against hers sent a flush to her face as she slowed her pace down a tad. The fox turned it's head to look at them over its shoulder and noticed how quickly they were gaining, but it seemed to have reached it's full speed. Fre tried to pick her pace back up and managed to catch up with Raken, gently running her hand over his before speeding up to get in front of him slightly.

He nearly tripped at her touch, blushing lightly. But he continued strong behind her slightly...he saw the fox begin anouther sharp turn. NOW! He flung himself at the creature while it slowed by that fraction, landing right ontop of it. Wrapping his arms around it, he rolled a few feet before stopping "...ow."

The suddeness of catching the fox caught her off guard. Without being able to stop herself she fell over Raken and the fox. She took a quick tumble into another tree, "ow." She twisted herself over and watched Raken and the fox.
