 Delano laughed as his wave successfully hit her. He bounced playfully oin the water as she ran in after him, splashing water at her with his horn and front hooves. "Ohh.......I'm going to get it? well.....come catch me and give it to me then...." He was surprised at his sudden playful antics, but it was fun and it made him happy and feel good..although his stomach was flopping around too. It kind of tingled a bit. "Aruna you in yourelf are a gift. You might not see it...but I do...and I'm sure those who love you or those whose lives you've touched see it too...your magical glow...like an angel on earth!!!" And he splashed at her again. How strange was it to be playful but so noble at the same time? And then she nuzzled him a moment....whoa..that was different and it made his heart skip a beat....and then she splashed him.... "oh thats a dirty trick!!!! " He shouted and laughed. "But very smart...." He chased after her as she sped off, laughing and racing to catch up to her. She sure was fast on those legs of hers.

Aruna never truly appreciated running the way she did now; she felt... like she could fly. The feeling made her thoughts return to the night she met Shadowfax, the only other stallion she considered to be a very close friend; he had saved her life, at that. Now... I understand what he meant... So, she could fly. She laughed up at the moon, suddenly startled to find this new understanding of life. Is this what you've wanting me to see all this time, Lady Moon? She turned laughing, glowing golden orbs toward Delano, a smile on her face that was starting to become quite common. "Am I? Truly?" An angel, eh? That's a new one... "Well, it might've been a dirty trick, but surely my knight in shining armor can catch up to me?" She teased, chuckling. She figured he'd have caught up with her by now, seeing as unicorns were the fastest equines around. He was probably playing with her. Ah, well. Might as well take advantage of it.

Delano smiled and his eyes softened, the light from the stars making them shine like precious red gems. He was enjoying letting her keep her lead on him for the moment, watching as she shone and glowed...like an angel...."Yes, like a golden angel" he chuckled softly and sped up a bit to catch her. "If I am a knight in shining armor, were you sent to save me and bring me to heaven for my good deeds?" He would follow her anywhere...She was teaching him a new side to life then just being protective and coming to the rescue of others. She was showing him how to have fun and how to live. He finally let off a burst of speed and nipped her shoulder softly. "Tag!" he yelled and bounced offto the right laughing.

Aruna blinked as Delano ran by her after shouting "tag". "He-Hey!" She called, laughing. Am I truly as thus? I always thought myself plain... ah, well. I love the complimenting. 'Tis a welcome change compared to what I'm used to. Her thoughts a flurry within her mind, she took off in a brand new burst of speed to chase after the red unicorn. "Perhaps I am, perhaps I'm not, Sir Knight!" she called cheerfully after him. "Shall I spread my supposed wings and take flight, showing you the way to heaven, my knight in shining armor?" She continued, laughing as she slowed slightly, a bit short of breath from laughing and running.

Delano chuckled as she shouted at him, staying in just barely in front of her. He noticed her slow and thought perhaps it was time to rest. She seemed to need to catch her breath. He turned and trotted back towards her grinning. "Perhaps you already have My Golden Angel. But if this is not heaven, then please, I plead with you to steal me away and take me to the golden shores of the world in which you live." He smiled and nuzzled her cheek softly. "Shall we refresh ourselves and perhaps have a bite of lucious sweet grass?" He noted the sky was much darker now. It must be late, but still the stars sparkled and the moon was high was in the sky, bathing its light upon them. But still he would not leave her side. He wanted to make sure she saw the night through safely...but also...he felt a tug at heart....he did not want to leave her.

When he trotted closer and nuzzled her cheek, she pulled away slightly and nuzzled him back. "Tag." A grin on her face, she panted slightly as she slowly got her breath back. "Why don't I? You seem to be the one I was looking for when I came here," she replied with a wink. "Yes, that sounds quite wonderful right now." Her heart was pounding so hard... she doubted it was from running around chasing after Delano. She moved closer to the red stallion, liking how warm he felt, and basked in the gentleness that was him. She couldn't believe there was a stallion like him--she'd only dreamed of such stallions. Sure, there were other stallions she'd met who had been kind, but none so unique as Delano. Her heart felt so filled... She didn't want to leave him...

Delano chuckled at her silliness and using a nuzzle to tag him. It was rather cute and amusing. His face went a complete blush of a slight purple tinge at her words. He had understood exactly what she meant....at least he thought he did....Was she really falling for him? and maybe him for her? It seemed to be such a magical night so far. "Mmmm so why don't you my Golden Angel. I will willingly follow anywhere you may lead me." His voice was soft and deep. He let his head press to hers as she moved closer. He never wanted that moment to end. Never had a mare expressed interest or been so close to him. Not like this...none like her. As much as he wanted to stay there, a low grumble in his stomach told him they needed to eat and could 'cuddle' later. "Shall we, my angel?"

"Good question, why don't I?" she repeated, smiling. Wondering if Delano had read between the lines from her words before, she flushed a bit as her stomach grumbled. "Ah... yes, we shall." She hadn't been this close to a stallion (aside from her father and brother, of course) before, and definitely not one this tall... but that was all right. Most stallions were tall (heck, her father was still taller than her!) and she moved forward to taste the delicious sweet grass slightly wet from the late-night dew.

Delano had a rather large smile plastered to his face. He followed her lead, as if following anywhere she led. Where she turned he turned and where she stopped he would too. "And thus begins the journey to heaven then. " He grinned playfully, waiting for her response. His heart beat a little faster and even skipped a beat as it flittered. He moved gracefully, calm and at ease but filled with a peace and serenity, accompanied by such a sensation of joy and happiness. He couldn't really contain it and yet he wasn't exactly sure how to express it either. 'Mmmmm lucious grass, sweetened by the drops of such heavenly, delightful dew."

Aruna smiled at Delano, chuckling at his words. "Thus begins your journey to your great reward, you mean..." she whispered into his ear and then pulled away, winking. She pulled herself into the water until it lapped at her front hooves, and she bent to drink. This night was peaceful... the grass and water were sweeter than she had ever tasted. She casually glanced at the red unicorn near her, and then looked back into the water at her reflection. She could just about imagine wings on the both of them... soaring through the skies... and him fighting off whatever evil would come. She had to smile to herself; her fantasy was flying off in a weird direction. Straightening, she glanced up at the moon. It was played with her all the time, but it always had good intentions, it seemed... ...Thank you...

Delano grinned widely and spoke softly in return, "Oh? and what reward is that My Golden Angel?" He winked at her and flashed gleaming white teeth in a charming manner. He watched her drink for a moment, basking in the beauty displayed before him. He moved forward and bent to nibble on the sweet lucious grass, enjoying its delicious taste in his mouth. His eyes never left her as he watched her. He played with a few blades of grass held by the red muzzle, keeping them between his lips. It loked rather funny to anyone watching, but since he could not see himself, he was not aware how silly he looked.

Aruna stifled a giggle at the sight Delano made, as she could tell she had not left his eyes for even a second. "Your reward, my knight?" She walked toward him, smiling. Bending her head so she was eye level with him, she licked his cheek--quickly, but long enough so that he felt it. "That's your reward, my knight." She moved back and turned to hide a blush. She couldn't believe she'd done that, but who was there to see but her and Delano? She was happy--amazingly. The sight he made was very amusing, and though she tried hard to suppress her laughter, she ended up letting out a soft giggle.

Delano tilted his head slightly, wondering what she giggled at. He watched her walk towards him as she spoke. And then she caught him by surprise.....His heart fluttered as his stomach somersaulted from the lick. He blushed a deep purple that was very noticable. It was a few moments before he could find the words to speak. "And heavenly reward it is my angel. " He barely got the words out...he was stammered...such a rare thing for him. and then she giggled again. What was she giggling at exactly? "And what may I ask bring such a precious smile to your face with a soft laugh?" He smiled and moved forward to let his gaze meet hers. Soft, gentle, unwavering. Oh the story his eyes could tell her if she looked into them to read it.

"How handsome you are," she said, smiling. "I'm glad my gift pleases you." Her eyes connected with his, allowing her access to read behind the doors that were open to her. "You. You bring a smile to my face... though the soft laugh, I admit, is the way you look, playing with that blade of grass." She, too, moved forward, until they were facing each other. So kind... her heartbeat was fluttering rapidly... nearly skipping a beat from time to time, but she could tell something magical was to happen tonight... not that it already hadn't.

Delano listened to her and had a sudden realization expression on his face, followed by a sheepish grin and some more purple blushing as he looked down and pawed the ground a moment before letting his gaze return to hers again as she moved in closer. He chewed the blades of grass a bit nervously before blowing a playful puff of air and one blade of grass floated briefly in the air between them. He felt his heart beat faster but he did not waver or take his eyes from hers. Instead they stayed locked to hers, telling her a story of what he felt and what he hoped for, his dreams, an endless tale who he was. "And you bring a smile to mine in a way no one ever has, my angel. Your gift is an honor." He chewed the blades of grass in his lips a bit, nervously awaiting her reply. He looked for the story in her eyes and he knew she was something special...she was magical...truly an angel.
