MommaSnoopy redface I have done the mixing up of how much of or switching the amounts of spices too many times to count... crying One of my first times making bread, I accidently read the amount of salt as 1 tablespoon instead of the actual 1 teaspoon. That was terrible. I felt bad since I had promised everyone fresh bread in the house. Just made another and it came out great.

Ok, this isn't exactly a bad mix. . . But. . . . It just annoys me. You're making something in a crockpot, and somebody goes into the kitchen and pours water into the pot because there wasn't any! gonk I've had three meals screwed up because of people doing that, why can't people just. . . Leave things alone. t__t

I did a horrible messup. I used Nutmeg instead of Cinnamon for french toast. Breakfast and sleep deprivation do not mix.

I learned the hard way that you can use to much cheese when stuffing shells. The first time I ever made stuffed shells, I stuffed them with a cheese mixture (mostly velveeta) and made a sauce to put on top. The sauce came out fairly well, but the solid cheese center was way to much. It was unedible... sweatdrop

What's wrong with nutmeg and French toast? *looks blank* I put it in all the time .... 'course, if you were aiming for cinnamon, the quantities could have been horrifically different ...

I once put too much sugar in an orange sauce. Normally, not a bad thing... but imagine an orange popsicle over baked fish.
Ick.

lunashock Milk does work, but the best thing is a simple syrup. That's how Scoville units were invented by how many squirts of sugar water. The reason why spicy food are so overwhelming and intense is because instead of just binding to one set of receptors on your tongue, it binds to ALL of them. Good Eats has to be my favorite show ever! Good Eats rocks da socks! My worst food catastophe would have had to have been when we had a fondue party and decided to try the vegetables in the chocolate pot. Red peppers and Hersheys are *not* a good mix.
