Fute had wanted to ask more, and the thoughts of who could also have blue on their pelt raced through his mind like cars on a track, but it was obvious there was little to no time whatsoever to consider the matter any longer. Not to mention the only wolf coming to mind still was Rochir; an answer he wouldn't see fit to this riddle of sorts. Rochir had never mentioned his father to the spotted male, and he'd never asked him to, either. Not to memory, at the minimum.
Above all, this wolf's chance of safety was becoming moreso frail by the second. It made his heart heavy and so he sighed. "No worries. I promise. Take it easy there now." His words were comforting as could be as he stepped forward and hoisted the elder male onto his back. Since he was considerably larger in size and at least somewhat equipped for the journey, so long as he didn't take off running, took his time, and watched his step, they both would be fine. "I'm going to take you back to the den of mine, and a friend. I'm sure he won't mind. It's not too far off, at any cost. Hang tight." He hoped he'd make it in time...

Mik grunted as he was hoisted off the ground by the bigger male. He had never been carried before, and had only carried others in his jaws. He did his best to keep himself centered and hold on without injuring Fute.
Rochir slept through the storm, twitching occasionally from the dreams running past his eyes. He hadn't noticed when Fute left, only felt - in sleep - that it had gotten a bit colder in their makeshift den. Suddenly the red male awoke, worried. Something was not right. He couldn't place the feeling, and soon drifted off again hoping things would be fine.

Fute made sure to pace himself and take his time whilst travelling back towards the den. Keeping the scent of Rochir in his nostrils through the rain, mud, and other distractions wasn't the easiest of tasks; especially whenever it was hard enough trying to make sure the male didn't slide off his back in the first place. A couple of times he'd end up easing against a tree for a second or two, making sure not to hurt the fella but rather to center balance him once again.
Finally, after some good time of travelling, the two of them arrived at the densite. Rochir was apparently sprawled out safely within the den itself, still sound asleep as he'd remembered him. The spotted male was made a very happy soul to know this, and just as happy that he was okay. He did seem a bit cold, however. Indeed, the BOTH of them would need something to keep warm by during the storm.
He sat Mik down gently next to his companion before looking around, though finally coming to terms with the fact that there simply wasn't anything to keep warm by in such conditions. He pondered it for a moment before laying down beside them both, using his own body warmth to hopefully try and make do for the two of em'.

Despite the turmoil of the storm and the hard task of staying atop the spotted male, Mik found the rythm soothing and was soon unable to keep himself awake. By the time they had come to the den, he was out cold.
The young adult stirred in his sleep, disturbed by a sudden weight against his side. He figured in his sleep that Fute had returned and was just coming back to sleep. Turning, he huddled closer to the wet frame, laying his head over the other wolf's shoulders, completely oblivious to his father laying beneath his jaw.

Fute continued to do best he could to keep them both warm, not so much as giving second thought to his own health. It was good to have others by your side.

Birds woke the elder from his rest, lids parting to reveal ice blue eyes. Though he hadn't slept well, he hadn't slept badly either, and having this other wolf for company was something of a comfort to him in his weakened state. He stretched himself out and half-heartedly flopped onto his side as best he could. Seconds later he realized there was another wolf draped of him other than the spotted one. Now paranoid, he froze, scenting the air to find a familiar smell lingering in the air with the scent of passing rain and wet fur.
The red male groaned as he stretched, happy to have a good night's sleep in a den, rather than sleeping in open ground. A silly grin played across his maw, making it clear to anyone that his grumpy mood had passed. Today would be a good day. Rolling onto his back, he wriggled in the cool dust, taking in the clean wet-forest scent and yipping softly. " 'Ey Fute, y'there?" he spoke in sing-song, too laze to open his eyes and look around.

The night had come, and it had gone. Time had passed, and the rains had died down to a mere shower, if that. The sun was rising in the sky by now for sure, bringing about the woodland creatures and flying songbirds into hearing's reach. Fute had fallen asleep alongside the other two the previous night while attempting to keep them heated. It didn't take long, however, before Rochir's awakening words echoed through, waking him up to a glorius new day.
"Yeah.. mornin', sleepyhead." he replied, picking himself up slowly and taking the time to stretch out. It was quite obvious he hadn't gotten as much sleep as his loyal companion had gotten, but what he had gotten, well, it was enough to make do for now. Quickly did his mind revert to thoughts of the elder male nomatter, and just as quickly as it did did his eyes switch to view of Mik. Though, there was no rush in the matter. No surprise. Just sincere concern. He was sure, either way though, that things would be fine. It'd just been the rains that'd done it, he figured. "And a good morning to you too, Mik." His tune rang happily towards the dullpelt.

"Yeh, 'ey Mik." the red male spoke, eyes still closed. Fute was a kind soul, but a smart soul. He wouldn't bring danger in. Of course Rochir would be more on guard if he wasn't in such a good mood, but today was fine and would continue to be fine. Nothing to worry about.
Rochir happily batted a paw in the air, blue swirled legs illuminated by the sunlight trickling through the dust in the air. His thoughts turned to his father.. he had been named Mikhael, but it had never been shortened to 'Mik' that he knew of. The red male sighed. His father was probably passed away by now, and there was no telling what had happened to his father OR mother.
"Mmhm" the elder male rumbled in greeting, almost too afraid to move. He had slept warmly, but now was so comfortable and the thought that his hips would ache again upon moving kept him rooted to the ground. The new wolf beside him sounded younger still than the spotted wolf, and the thick accent brought a jolt. His mate had spoken the same crazy dialect, and it had always made his heart swell with pride and happiness to hear her speak.
Moments later he felt movement and dared a sideways glance into the air behind him. Dusty blue almost seemed to glow, embedded into deep black fur. Mik inhaled sharply, weezing and coughing. Had he just be dragged into a foreign den to sleep beside his own son?

Of course there was no sense of danger about. The atmosphere on this morning of all mornings was a bliss to behold. There was simply nothing much that could go wrong when things were so heavenly, so peaceful, so..... - He stopped his happy thoughts to gaze down upon the two of them, squirming slightly each whichaway. As soon as the male inhaled and had begun to weeze, he didn't want to waste time. "Ar...are you alright, Mikhael?" The way he said it it had come out 'my-kull', so would probably be mistaken for the wrong person, should one ever ask. Either way though, he hoped he was okay. It was understandable that older ones had their issues. This case was no different, and he'd do all he could to assist, if need be.

"Mikhael" he corrected pronunciation through weezes. The coughing had stopped, but the shock was still there. He got to his feet now, as fast as he could with his back legs still stiff from the night before. Shuffling he managed to turn himself towards the youngest present in the den.
"You, look at me in the eyes."
The voice above him softened considerably as it commanded, and it set the red male's heart aflame. The intoxicating smell of family rushed into his nose and Rochir had to fight himself to stay calm. The morning had been so peacefull, but now the young adult was on the verge of panic. He always thought a reunion with the one he sought after so religiously would be more.. happy, but now he couldn't bring himself to believe.
What had he become in these years? Nothing. He was lone. Mateless and packless. He had always strived to become just like his father and he had failed. And now, possibly, here his father was to see what he had accomplished in his life, and there was nothing to be proud of. He finally rose to his feet, taller than his father, bigger. The red male kept his body lowered, crouching in submission.
"At th' risk of soundin' viciously insane... ah t'ink yir my f--"
"Father." the elder cut the boy off. They stood nose to nose for a long while.

"Mikhael. Sorry then." he responded, finally accepting the fact that the elder was going to be alright; which made him relieved. Afterwards, though, something else entirely began to spring up from the grounds within their conversation. His thoughts trailed backwards to a moment in time when he'd promised Rochir he'd help him search for his..... He was cut off from thoughts by the word "Father." ringing from Mik's very maw. That would normally set off all sorts of signals in the mind of any casual wolf. However, Fute was no casual wolf. Abeit so, he WAS quite shocked at the news suddenly popping up out of nowhere. He'd had the thought of it possibly being Rochir from the previous night, but hadn't really let himself believe such a thing until just now.
A smile had wanted to place itself across his muzzle, but it managed not to do so. Instead, the spotted male just shut his trap and backed away slightly, making a small bit of distance between himself and the other two, placing his rump on the ground to sit and wait this...reunion of sorts out.
The time had seemed to race them by. A few passing jackrabbits made the bushes bristle violently, sharply, once or twice before stopping each time. The rain had since stopped, and there were few if any clouds in the sky. And yet an eery silence loomed the forestry, aside from the aforementioned occasional bristles and bird chirrups. It was as if the world had been listening to their conversations and had taken cue on the note of 'Father.' to become completely quiet. Sunny and quiet; it was an unusual combination. And Fute didn't much know what to think of the situation, despite his happiness for them finally finding each other, at last...

After what seemed like forever, the younger male took the initiative and spoke, sitting down suddenly as he did so. "Y've aged well, Father." he spoke with quiet reserve. He had never planned to meet up like this, so suddenly. Truthfully, he had decided a few days back that if he was to ever find his father, the old male would be in his grave. It was hard for Rochir to do anything but stare. Mikhael looked every bit the same as he did when the red male was a pup, albeit a bit faded and ragged.
"As have you, boy." taking cue from Rochir, the elder male sat also, although a bit slower and more calculated. "I see you've kept yourself fed well." an almost foreign smile played over the old grey's maw and it wasn't long before he shuffled forward to snuffle the deep red fur of Rochir's neck and embrace him in a frail but strong hug.
"Yes I have.. we have." the young male spoke, glancing over at Fute as he did so, giving a half smile.
"Have you any news of Mother?" he dared quietly.

This reunion was none of Fute's business, or so was his belief on the matter, but he was everlastingly happy to see the two finally together once more. It filled him with great joy, seeing Rochir happy. And deep down, he knew Rochir was far beyond happy to meet his father; after all this time...
At the current state of things, there wasn't much the spotted male could really do, or be called upon to do, for that matter. He figured he'd stay back, offer a smile in return to Rochir, and a smile at the sight of them both, sitting to wait things out gingerly. And he did so.

"Good." the elder also took a moment to reguard the spotted wolf from the night before. "I must thank you. I'm not as young as you anymore, I would be in a bad way today if I had stayed out in that weather overnight." he addressed the gold and black male quickly and to the point.
"No.. " sadness was visible in the elder's eyes. "I wouldn't know anything of her. I have not been back. After a time word reached me of what you had done, and I set out looking for you. It's been so long." it was plain to see that many a season of searching had aged and hardened the once noble Mik.
"Now tell me. What have you seen, my blue eye'd son?" he really meant the question to both of them, and the sharpest of wolves may have caught on to a hinting of double meaning, but there was one thing for certain. Rochir was his blue eye'd son. None of the rest of the litter had eyes quite so spectacular.

A simple nod would do for yet another response to the situation of things. There was no need to thank him. It was simply something he wanted to do; keep others safe that he held near, dear, and respected within his heart.
It soon became visible that there were farther deepened issues laying hidden beneath the surface of this reunion that he never would've guessed about. Saddening issues. And although it was against his better judgement to remain hushed and let them feel sad over something he was always optimistic about, this was a time he wouldn't interfere - not unless Rochir wanted him to. Even so, he'd do what he could to keep the mood at least somewhat pleasing.
Fute might've been smart, and he might've been optimistic and caring, but he certainly wasn't the sharpest of wolves, and didn't quite catch the way the remark had been made, chopping it down to merely a question. He picked himself up and came forward, setting himself down alongside Rochir, offering him a sympathetic nuzzle of sorts. One would figure it not the most appropriate gesture, what with his companion's father being here, but in Fute's eyes, any time was the right time to assist in comforting. After all, this was no good news about his mother. Who knew how he'd take it. He wanted to ensure that the male wouldn't run off; that he was there for him.
It might risk being taken oddly, but either way, it didn't much matter to the spotted male. He was well prepared to offer the same comforting to Mik, if need be. A slight chuckle emitted within his mind at the very thought.
