Mmmh.. Roule watched Revon rather intently, willing to learn this mysterious new game. Cringing at the amount of effort it seemed to take (mainly because Roule didn't really like games with too much moving anyways...), he sat down on the bed, watching him curiously. It seemed much more amusing to watch the grey-haired turtle thing than play the game itself, really. The weasel found it amusing when the boy looked so anxious, for no apparent reason either.

Looking at the screen, the paler boy cocked a brow. "C? Issat good or bad?" He asked. From what he had seen, it had been pretty good except for the occasional shouts from the TV, and weird boos coming from console. Geez, were there people stuck in there? It kind of confused the weasel boy, but it really didn't bother him very much. The song was very catchy indeed, almost enough to get him up. Almost.

He glanced up at the speech. Then shook his head. "N-not g-great." It could have been worse, but that just wasn't something he could be proud of. Not yet anyway. He fluffed his wings up a bit while eyeing the screen as it shifted back to the screen for choosing another song. Round two.

He held down the back arrow a bit until he found the song he wanted and let it come to a stop. Then let the timer start to run out for a start up. Just a short breather before it began again.

The latest song was a well known one. Sandstorm. The beat was fun, nothing that really clung to him, but a good song to dance to. He liked it, and as the clock hit zero it was time to start.

'Ready!'

The game chimed at him as the music began on que. And time for round two.

Obviously if Roule did want to play he'd have to say something. It wasn't Revon's second favourite pasttime(his first being making flower crowns) for nothing.

"Not great?" Roule scowled. Huh, it didn't even look that hard... Maybe Revon was just incompetent. The pale boy stepped off the bed, glancing down at the mat and placing his feet like Revon's. He found the game just a bit fascinating.. Maybe he'll ask Ma for one when he goes home.

Grinning a bit, he looked towards Revon for a directional instruction. "Hey, so I just press the arrows right? It shouldn't be too hard." Roule rationalized as his gaze turned to the TV. Hmm? This song is nice. Kinda catchy but really not enough to get him moving.

Shifting his own weight slightly, the weasel boy moved both legs to the arrows like Revon was doing so. It wouldn't hurt to get the same start as the grey boy.

He nodded slightly at the question. Then pointed at the screen as one of the arrows flashed through the linea t the time. He hadn't hit the arrow so a 'boo' echoed a moment as he hit the button to exit out of the song. He'd need to switch it back to two-player mode. "W-when th-ey li-line up." He stated trying to explain it as he finished setting up the game so it was back in two player mode. It didn't take long for him to hunt the song back down and set it to start up again either.

"Ti-tim-ing."

That was really what mattered. Especially with a game like this. Some others might have taken timing, but this one had to take the most.

As the arrows started to show from the bottom it meant that talking time was over, and it was time to work at not failing. Which Roule would likely learn was a lot harder than he thought.

Timing? Psh, what a tease. The game isn't going to be harder than Roule thought at all, though it had looked slightly entertaining when the bird had been playing. It was just stepping on this at the right time, afterall. Right?

Smoothing out the short jacket he was wearing, Roule turned to the grey boy, raising a brow. "Are you picking the music then? C'mooon, I wanna get started." He seemed rather ready to prove himself wrong, however. Not that Roule thought so of course, the game had seemed so simple and well, rather easy to him.

The music had only just begun to play shortly after the question of if he was choosing the song. He mutely nodded in response to it as once again 'sandstorm' was selected.

And there started the cue to begin dancing. The brightly colored arrows darting up across the screen as the bird attempted to hit each one on time. It just wasn't a game meant for someone his age to be playing, but he really did enjoy it. Thus even if he couldn't manage more than a C and a rare B he kept practicing. As he got bigger he figured it would be easier to play too. The arrows wouldn't be so far apart and that meant less time scambling to reach them. Which would be good.

That would lead to being good.

The song had kept going through it's entirecycle and finally drew to a close. Leaving the boy a moment to catch his breath as it started to tally up scores. Please be something worthwhile. He had to be getting better.

...B!

That WAS better! He grinned at the score on his side of the screen giving a little hop in the center of his mat. That was better than last time.

Roule frowned as the arrows appeared on the screen. The first one he hit. Good. Oh wait, more were coming? Ohnoohno, way too fast! The weasel scrambled to hit the arrows, always returning to the middle circle in a rush. Nono, he didn't like this game at all. Glaring at the screen, Roulette simply decided to hit every second arrow. Why did he miss so much? That was annoying, how it said "Almost" and "Miss"..

Grumbling under his breathe, which was rather raspy and breathless, the paler boy stopped as the game ended.

"I don't like this game." He said pointedly, glaring as the score popped up on the screen.

...E?

What, for excellent?

The weasel looked over to a rather happy Revon and frowned further. Why was he so happy? S'not like HE got an E.. for excellent of course. Though, the boy was relentlessly happy for no apparent reason.

Revon only took a moment to frown as he spotted Roule's grade. Definitely not good. Maybe it was good that the weasel didn't like the game much. He'd need to practice before he could be much good at it. Then again, the raven had needed to practice a lot to get any good at it. So it was to be assumed that most things needed time to become better at them.

He tugged at one of his longs sleeves as he glanced off to the side before mumbling. "E... 's bad." He glanced up slightly. "N-need prac-tice to g-get be-t-ter." He quickly hit a button to get the menu and moved it to quit. They didn't need to play anymore though. He'd said he didn't like the game afterall. Just best to turn it off.

"I-t ta-takes t-time." Yes, that made sense. He watched as the main menu appeared once more. "I... pra-practice lots." But he wasn't great at it yet. He was still stuck on light mode afterall. Beginner on some songs.

Roule scowled, turning to the bird. "No, turn it back on." He near ordered, the pitch in his voice changing. He didn't like doing 'badly' in anything, and he didn't especially like being told by some other grey turtle thing that he was doing badly either.

The weasel pivoted towards the TV again, making a solid stance on the mat. There was NO way he could do bad in something! No way at all! Auuugh... Attempting to remember the steps from the last game, he decided that this time he would at least get better than the bird, Revon? Whatever his name was. He just had to think about it and move fast. He was a weasel afterall, what couldn't he do?

The bird took a step back at the sudden order, cringing and shrinking into his shirt. He didn't mean to upset anyone. A timid nod escaped him as he shifted one foot to hit the buttons tobring the menu back up his eyes on the pad before him as he did. One player. The weasel could play alone on this one.

He left it at choosing the modes for the other boy before taking a few steps back and sitting on his bed quietly. He didn't want to upset anyone and he had. He'd just let the other boy do as he pleased, that would be better. No one could get angry if they were doing whatever they wanted. And he wouldn't say anything either. That had been bad too. It really was proving to be a bad thing, first Haruki and now the other child. Talking was bad.

Revon didn't want to be a bad bird.

"Eh." Roulette muttered as he saw the boy visibly shrink back into the oversized burlap coloured coat. It made him look larger than before at least, but the grey bird still looked scrawny.

"Mang," he uttered again, looking at the lack of other space on the screen. Looking over to Revon, who was now seated on the bed, the weasel quirked a brow. "Wha'?" He asked bluntly, turning to face the raven fully, "Your not playingz?"

Last time he had obviously attempted to copy the bird's feet, so now.. Without the actual boy that was problematic. He scowled lightly, muling it over in his brain. This was a dilemna. He had to get the bird to play, so he could copy his feet but ..uh.. what was his name? Revo? Ravon? Rev? Something like that. Ravon was better than him in the game and made it sorely obvious to him.

The child nodded slightly at the question. No more talking today. So shaking or nodding would have to do. Still, he didn't want to outdo the other boy again and upset him more. So it was best he didn't play. Frankly, there was very little the other child could do or say to change that. But he couldn't say that either.

Talking was bad.

As for copying. Revon had been too busy trying not to mess up on the song to notice the weasel hadn't been dancing so much as mimicking. Thus he hadn't realized in the lest that his lack of wanting to play might serve as a... problem for Roule. It had seemed like the best option to please him. And Revon was all for pleasing people.

The weasel pursed his lips and stared at the bird, waiting for him to get up. He was feeling slightly impatient now, putting a hand on his hips, a common body signal for impatience. He looked just a bit unsatisfied.. The boy was weird and small and whimpered too much. And didn't like talking. It didn't peeve him so much, the paler boy wasn't really annoyed, to his surprise.. But more waiting. And waiting.

"C'mon," he beckoned to Revon, pointing to the other mat. "Play please? I wanna play with you." He tried to say it in the nicest way possible, and that at least sounded normal.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 21, 2006 9:10 pm

Why was the weasel starring at him? The gay was in the other direction. He mused over pointing towards it as a suggestion, but decided that it would be best just to sit tight. Better not to cause a problem, right? Really, why was he starring at him like that. The boys wings drooped more as he shoved even further annoyance and impatience with him.

Why on earth did he want him to play? He wanted to ask, and yet... silence was golden. As a moment he swung his feet and landed at the foot of the bed and trudged back to his mat. He didn't want to get yelled at again, but if he didn't play that seemed to be what would happen.

This was certainly a case of a lose-lose situation wasn't it? A few buttons and he'd switched it back to two player mode and chosen light again. Definitely no good could come from this.

Grudgingly, the weasel turned to the smaller bird. "Can you teach me, denz? To play the game? I don't like losing." Roule looked just a tiny bit miffed, like he didn't really like admitting he was bad at something. But in truth, he was rather bad at this, and Revon seemed pretty decent at it.. blah.

The paler boy suddenly felt a weird sense of guilt in making the boy scared. The gray bird seemed about as nervous and gloomy as when Roule first met him, but still, it made him feel bad, which was a rather new sensation, to be honest. He didn't like the guilt though, as it didn't really occur too often, only when he said something mean to Ma or accidentally pushed some other kid off the stairs. But making someone that he really didn't know feel bad? That was weird. He was usually so detached from these kind of things. Maybe it was just because Revon looked so scared of, well, him.
