I've been loving J-rock and J-pop for quite a few years now. It's what got me into the Japanese culture.
Let's start with Dir en grey. My number one all time favorite band. I went to see them in Philly last February. The show was amazing.

I've been a fan of jrock for a while now^^. I'm currently getting into Panic Channel and Shoujo Lolita 23Q, but I like a lot of other ones too^^. But my sister says they are all starting to sound the same sweatdrop

..used to know everything about every single band that could show up in magazines like Shoxx.
But... after a while they really did start to sound pretty much the same (with a few exeptions).
So I hauled over to the heavy metal scene instead ^^
feels great! 4laugh

Ah~ Jrock is so much fun!! I love how it ranges from slow ballads to incredibly fast punk songs to metal-like screams ^_^
My absolute favorites are Miyavi, The GazettE, Kazuyuki Matsumoto and One OK Rock.
However, I have to agree with Campaigngirl. I liked jrock when I was in Sophomore or Junior year of high school (which is about 3 or 4 years ago) and after a while, Jrock bands do start sounding the same, so I don't really look for new bands anymore because I will compare them with the ones that I have heard first. The VK bands got it bad since that they all start looking the same too!
