Relkin9 I just really like cooking with them. THough I have wanted to get some Mandragora, so does anyone know where to get it? Well, just by doing a google search (why don't people do this themselves? =P) http://www.alchemy-works.com/mandragora_officinarum.htmlI don't know how good the page is, but it seems pretty decent.

The site I order from is pretty good...it takes a while to ship, but it's worth it, I think. They have a good selection, and a lot of good sales. Abaxion

Then again, when I did mine, I used yahoo, so that might have something to do with it. that and mine was VERY general.

Dandelyon There are a ton of books on herbs and what to do with them, the best I've found being by the wonderful Scott Cunningham. Personally, I'm a fan of herbs...not only are they used in some of the oldest forms of magick, but they smell delightful and are practical. Once the weather gets warmer, I'll be planting an herb garden for myself, but living in a temperate climate, it will be difficult to grow such things as the aforementioned Vanilla or Cinnamon or Ginger.... I have one of his herb books, and it it very descriptive. It has picture of what most of the plants look like and averything. I love that book. heart

I know i had alot of trouble finding woad but found it when i went to a garden convention. Often these conventions occur in the spring but some in the fall as well. The herb booth there that i got my woad at must have had seeds and young herbs for hundreds of varieties.

In the process of starting my new herb garden i found a plant called pineapple sage and was wondering if it had any magical propertys of if it was just a highbrid(wich i really think it is). It smells exactly like pineapple but has the look of sage kinda. the only reason i found it was beacuse i thought it looked like mint so when i smelled it i was surprised to find it smelled like pineapple. The reason i'm asking is beacuse it is not listed in Scott Cunninghams Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs and i know this is only one book on teh subject but is the only one i have so if you could please help i would be very much appriciated.
P.S. I also have Thyme, Rosemary, Juniper, Lavender, Sage, Catnip, Dandilions (if you counnt the yard as an herb garden), Basil, Chocolate Mint, chives, and the Pineapple Sage. I think i have a pretty good collection what do you think?

And they should have a wide variety of herbs and plants, even those that arent native to your region.

Thanks for the info i'll keep that in mind. What do you think of online ordering of seeds? Do you know a site that sells herb seeds (I tried googling it but all i got where were other normal seed carriers)?
