The Airplane/Shuttle has been done in just about every Medium Superman has been exposed to. Lois and Clark.... They had the shuttle. STAS... they had the plane, the comics has had planes, and shuttles. To me, it feels like for the movie, that they were brain storming and decided...
"Huh, Maybe we should have a plane scene, where he catches it and stuff!"
"Meh, thats been over done, we should update it so it fits more with the times or whatever..."
"They did that in the Dean Cain Superman, How about we mix the two or something?"
"Sure.. That sounds original."

GLKilowog Cpl James Howlett I still wont see this movie. Never was a big fan of superman, never will be. MAYBE if someone else rents it...or it when it comes out on Starz, then maybe I'll watch it. Maybe. Forever and ever will be a superman hater. Oh, you hate aliens, is that it? Think they come in and steal our jobs do ya? Think that Canadians are the only ones who should be allowed in the US besides those born in the country? Well, you can take your wall and shove it buddy! scream Yes. I hate aliens. me too! whee i thought they had added zod to the scrabble game in the beginning, but i realized it just said zoo. sweatdrop

did anyone else notice the word "alienation" in the scrabble game?
anyway, i personally liked it despite people already ripping it apart before it was released. i still dont like Bryan Singer Directing Superhero movies though, i hated X-men and still do. Routh did a scary Christopher Reeves which just adds to the fact that he may be a Reeves clone. Spacey was great but then he usually is. the only real complaint i had was stalker Superman and Superman Jr., blegh. talk2hand

SPACEY! Though there were some parts that were cheesy (The yelling and all and some others) I thought he was movie Lex all the way. Adding to that, he even had some great comic Lex scenes. JABBING, TWISTING, AND BREAKING OFF THE KRYPTONITE JUST MADE ME FLINCH IN PAIN! Oh, and "KKKKKKRYPTONITE!"
Jimmy! God and right after the Jimmy Olsen All Star starring Superman came out to!
The costume. Compared to the royal ******** that have come from movie superhero costumes, I loved this one.
NO SUPER-KISS! God I though Singer was going to have the Super-kiss right at the end when he was in his super-coma.
Reference scenes to the comics. I was freakin out at the car scene!
Dislikes:
Jason? What happened to Conner?
Cyclops again getting the love shaft!
Just a few small things but no real big beef
As a movie I thought it was great and as a comic movie its pretty damn good.
PS: Spacey please please PLEASE sign on for World's Finest after Bats 2 comes out because you and whoever plays the Joker will be awesome!
