Wow! I *love* the corsets and coat. I must make that coat to go with my soon to be Loli outfit. O__o Holy Crap. Do they sell those at jo-annes? That's the only fabric and pattern store around..besides my grandma.

Sorry for the delay, everyone! My account was hacked, and I just now got it back to normal. X_X
My projects have been nil (as in I've been doing basically nothing) this summer. I blame it on intense heat and being out of state for a month.
All the patterns I got at Jo-anne's so if you hurry up, you can probably still grab them.
Pink top: NewLook 6599 (can't find a price on it?) Coat: Butterick B4762 It's a historical recreation peice. $16 Skirt and corsets: Vogue 7427 $16

I take a tape measure and mark evenly around where I want the top of the elastic to be. Pay attention to how wide your elastic is, or you could end up making it too short. (I've done that.) If you have a surger, surge the raw edge, or with regular machine fold it over and sew it. Then sew the elastic back in (you can sew an extention peice in there too.) That's about it.

Oh hey, I remembered that you were in the progress or thinking of doing a dress with a cherry print. Well, I stumbled upon something similar, but these dresses have strawberries.

I got this pattern from a Ren Fest waaaaaaaaaay back in May. I've been trying to organize my room since so that I can begin projects without the mess.

I bought this fabric: To make this dress: I'm pretty much done, except for the under ruffle, because I found that the stripey floral ended up clashing with the other print, so I went back and bought a pale plumy subtle rose print. It almost looks solid, if you're not too near the dress. I haven't bought this pattern yet: But, I want to make top right sleeveless version, and the very bottom blouse. I would have bought it this summer. However, the joanns near my house, and the only one around now that they have consolidated the stores, was sold out, and told me they didn't know if there were going to get more. And, they didn't before I went back to school. I did find it in the joanns near my school, though. I just didn't have money that day. ^_^;; I do now. I'm still not done with this skirt: It's pretty short, and I need to get more fabric to make a second pleated layer underneath the current hem. I had originally made a different, ruffled skirt with it, and absolutely hated the fluffy look it gave.

Pearl: I think we have the same fabric XD The one with the lines. I love the one on the left.
I think your skirt is looking good so far. 3nodding Keep it up!
Chibi: I thought you meant I was stressing you out somehow. sweatdrop I definately agree. I wish it were more active, too. But I haven't been sewing (stress, homework, job, boyfriend, other things), so I like to see what other people are doing.

Konopin, I notice that when I was looking through this thread. XD I actually like that stripey fabric so much I bought the purple version, and the pale khaki verson...in the bottom skirt picture.
I want to buy the green one to make a Beth dress replica...we'll see if I have the money to do so next month.
Maybe I like that pattern a little too much. sweatdrop But, thanks for the encouragement.
