Weird_Rei Astro-chan I can only get two or three, maybe four at the most cosplays in on the price of a normal (non Volks) doll! gonk Really? Do you do very extravagent characters? The most expensive item of my cosplays usually is the wig... 3nodding Yeah. I could've bought another AR Little Fair and some shoes and clothes for the price of all the parts of my Joachim costume - Worse yet... The armour was a failure and has to be redone! That'll probably shave off another $100. >_> For me, the most expensive part of a costume is either shoes or a wig. However most of the time I can go wigless as I'm willing to do almost anything to my hair...

Lets see...I don't have a job because I'm fifteen...I guess that's the only thing stopping me. I don't have anything else to pay for so if I get a job, ALL of the paycheck can go to my doll, but then again...I'm a horrible shopaholic and unless I get it all at once, it is almost impossible for me to save money for anything.

They lost about $150 of mine and I haven't put anything into my account since with the exception of college tuition. Places can hire at 14, but most of the time the won't hire you unless you are 16 and have done some kind of volunteer work. I'm waiting for them to call and tell me wther I have been hired or not. Everyone who knows about me wanting to spend 500 (possibly 600, possibly 700) on a doll thinks I'm out of my friggen' mind and my aunt is still trying to talk me out of it. Maybe if I remind her about my motorcycle permit she'll be less reluctant to help me get one biggrin

Right now I have to get a new computer or rebuild mine before I can get my next doll. And that's more than likely not counting the monitor! *dies* Chances are the monitor will come after my next doll unless there's a really good sale somewhere.
Also expensive things keep popping up. Right now I'm angsting over the Gorillaz figures which normally wouldn't hook me so badly (b/c they're damn expensive) but they're limited so if I don't get them now it'll be even more for them later. But for four it's about $170 after shipping. *dies again*

Well 'no-job' is one, but I have some other reasons too: -I live with my parents, they'd never let me have something so expensive that's for 'fun' (although my mother has her sewing-machine and my dad has all his fishing gear..
Oops! Was going to post more but got distracted by DoA...

Well I've realized that in two more paychecks I can have my computer (one if I REALLY save... I dunno if I can though since we're temporarily getting a dog) and in two more I'll have my monitor. I'll definately have Donovan by Christmas though. *squeels*
I WISH I knew if they were ever going to release a vampire Yder though.

There's other things that I need to put my money towards which are more necessary (a new computer being one of them). Then again I've been buying so many supplies to use for my doll hobbies I need to cool it in that area anyway sweatdrop
My funds are tight right now, especially since I have no job at this time stare (I refuse to work fast-food! scream ) But there aren't many other jobs for a part-time summer working student that are satisfactory for me crying I'm graduating this coming year so not working won't be much of an option anyway! x_x
Oh well, I guess there's a lesson to be learned from all this: SPEND YOUR MONEY WISELY! domokun
(regrets having purchased every single Bratz doll she owns)---------->>
*sniff* Just think of all the dollfies I could have had with that money cry ...

Have you worked fast food before? It's not so bad if you can work in the back and don't have to deal with customers. 3nodding
Good news on my roadblock situation. I've ALMOST saved up for my computer. I have $540 saved up and in two weeks I'll have at least another $150 possibly $225 to add to that which will easily take care of the computer and monitor. *dances* I'd have it this week but they're releasing the second set of the Gorillaz figures I was pining over so I pre-ordered two of them. *dances*
Yeah that's $97 I could have put towards my computer (thus making it closer to getting Yder) but oh well. And y'know what, after spending so much on Key, spending $97 (after shipping and I chose faster shipping) on a couple of action figures doesn't seem like so much anymore...

Then there's also the availabiltity of merchandise. Am I the only one who often says "DRAT! They have any and every kind except the one you're looking for!! scream " Well, I'll finally get paid for the summer work I did last month, but now what to do with the money? Hmm...decisions decisions stressed Lady Leonardo Have you worked fast food before? It's not so bad if you can work in the back and don't have to deal with customers. 3nodding That's exactly who I'm afraid of! gonk lol
