Logan took a deep breath, how she walked like that adn wagged her tail at him made it hard for him to resgister thoughts and figure out what he was actually going to tell her.
Ah! Now he remembered...
"Well" he began, dipping his right paw into the water, swirling it around a bit, he felt like a little pup who had just gotten their first crush, and was trying to tell them that he liked her...which he was trying to do.
"Since I met you I....well, its hard to explain..." he tried to figure out how to say it with it making sense, "Echo, since I met you, and talked with you...and been around you...I've had this strange feeling inside me...a feeling I can't really explain and..." kay, stop trying to stall and say it already, he knew he had to, "I just wanted to tell you that...I really, really Like you Echo...for you, for who you are..."
He wagged his tail a bit and smiled at her, adn hoped her reaction would be okay to what he said, he realized it might be quite shocking, for they had onlyjust met recently.

Echo perked her ears as she listened to what he was saying. For a while, though, he seemed to be fumbling with his words and he couldn't really seem to find the right way to say whatever it was he was trying to get out to her.
Finally he managed to get it out and for some reason she found herself relieved. She didn't know why, but it was like a huge weight had been lifted off of her chest. But why? The female tilted her head slightly, a question to herself, but she quickly gathered herself and smiled at him, her tail wagging.
"I... really, really like you..." she repeated, her ears folding back in a blush once more.

Logan smiled and beamed with happiness, his chest puffing out a little bit, right at that moment, he felt invicible, he felt whole. His eyes met hers, and he felt like he had finally found someone who he could connect with, who he could talk to about anything, who he could relish his pride in loving and protecting.
His ears folded back as well in a bluch, his tail wagging fast, heart beating like a race horse, he smiled and took a slow step towards her, balancing himself on another rock so that he was right next to her. With his ears folded back he moved slowly and gently nuzzled her cheek.

Echo's tail began to wag a mile a minute as the male came closer to her. But when he went to nuzzle her, she was slightly reluctant at first. Yet after a second she found herself liking the warm feeling that it gave her and so she then nuzzled him back, a happy whine escaping her lips.
But then something rustled behind her, something big that was moving closer. It roared slightly and scared the living daylights out of her. Her eyes went wide as all the fur on her body seemed to stand on end. She yelped loudly and bolted straight for the trees, finding herself a nice hiding place in one of the bushes. And it was there she lay with her tail tucked between her legs, pressed right up against her belly.
Sure, you could say she was scared.

Logan couldn't be happier at that moment, Echo had not run away nervous from him, and she was nuzzling him back, a whine of happiness escaping her lips. He was so happy, he couldn't measure this amount of happiness with any words he knew. His tail wagged fast along with Echo's...until he heard something coming...
Echo ahd bolted for a bush on the opposite side of the stream that the growls were coming from, Logan felt like the ground was rumbling beneath his paws that still were on the stones above the rushing water.
A bear?
A huge one at that, he didn't know that there were bears in this area, no one ever told him, and he hadn't thought a bear would live this close to packlands of so many wolves. Despite this fact, Logan grew angry at this creature, he was just sharing a tender moment with the wolfess he had fallen for, then this big lug had to come, ruin the moment, and scare Echo! Logan wasn't going to stand for that.
Logan lowered his head, his eyes glaring into those of this foe, his muscles tensing Logan glared and began to growl, he wouldn't let this creature within feet of Echo, not while he was there.
He growled loud and hard, threatening the bear without words that if it came closer, he wouldn't hold back. Logan would protect Echo with every fiber of his being if he had to.

The bear roared again, this time at Logan. All the bear had wanted to do was fish and get some food for its cubs, but apparently that wasn't going to happen. Not with this yapper here and his brave growling.
Grumbling forward, the large monster narrowed her eyes at the little wolf. Oh boy had he picked the wrong bear to mess with! No one in their right mind messed with a mama bear. Even if her cubs weren't there, she'd protect the area with all that she had, and normally the outcome left everyting in ruins
But then, from out of seemingly no where, there came three bumbling baby bears. The mother, having heard them tussling about, turned her head and growled to them. The cubs, knowing that specific sound to mean danger, stopped dead in their tracks and simply huddled together to watch their mum.
With her cubs securely in one spot, the mother bear turned her attention back to the wolf. She roared again, warning him to back off before she charged.

Logan didn't move, he knew bears were protective of their young, and now that its cubs were in view he knew this could make a turn for the worst. He didn't move from where he was, and didn't stop growling, the bear wanted to protect its cubs, but he wanted to protect Echo.
Plus she had been hunting, and they had gotten there first!
Challenging the bear was not the best idea though at this moment, not when he wanted to spend time with Echo. Logan ceased growling, and moved slowly now, not losing eye contact with he bear or the bumbling cubs. He made his way to the pool of water, dipping head head down quickly he grabbed a rather large fish compared to the rest there, and took a few steps back.
The fish wasn't for him...it was for Echo if she wanted it...in case she was hungry...
With that Logan turned and hoped up from the stream and onto the grass next to it. Searching through teh bushes there for Echo, he wanted to make sure that she was alright.

The bear watched him suspicously, not yet finding enough danger or threat in his actions to charge, luckily for him. But when he moved towards the stream and grabbed a fish, she narrowed her eyes and grumbled a low warning. Yet after that he backed off and seemingly disappeared through the trees and bushes.
Relieved but not yet off-guard, the mother called her cubs to her side and began to search the water for suitable fish. She didn't, however, let her senses fall for one minute. She'd be ready if that wolf came back...
But, meanwhile, on the other side of the river, Echo as shivering in a bush. She knew how dangerous bears could be from stories and such, but never had she imagined one could get so big and loud. That mother bear had nearly given her a heart attack, especially with that warning she had given Logan.
It gave the female a great relief when she saw him looking for her, unscatched and carrying a fish in his mouth.
Whining to him, she crawled out from where she was, looking rather pathetic. Her tail was tucked between her legs and pressed up against her belly, which was nearly touching the ground. Her head was lowered slightly and her ears were pressed back against her skull in fright. She hoped he didn't think she was a complete lunatic.

Searching for Echo Logan hoped she was alright and didn't bolt away, but soon hearing her whine escape from an area and watching her reveal herself from the bushes gave him a wave of relief, she was still here, and was okay.
Logan noticed she seemed quite shocked and or scared by the whole ordeal with the bear, perhaps a bear was what gave her those scars... but that thought quickly moved from his mind.
He smiled and quickly padded over to her dropping the fish closely and wagged his tail at her, closing the gap between them he leaned in slowly and gave her a reassuring nuzzle, "It's alright...I won't let anything happen to you..."

Echo really was quite scared, but it wasn't because a bear had given her the scars. Moreso, it was the fact that the bear was so loud, big, and powerful. But that didn't matter now, at least she hoped not. The bear still looked a bit on edge, but at least it wasn't growling at them or charging, or something much worse than that. And so for that, she was grateful.
Then, when Logan dropped the fish, she looked at him in amazement. It was a rather large fish, and she was surprised that he was able to catch it with the bear so close and most likely wanting to feed.
"Alright, alright," she repeated, still breathing heavily from the shock the bear had given her. When he gave her a reassuring nuzzle, she smiled and pressed herself up against him, as if almost trying to hide either in or under him from the bear.

Logan had been glad that the bear decided to leave him adn Echo be, it was probably just hungry, thats what his explanation was. He was really glad Echo was alright, but she still seemed pretty shaken from the bear and what had happened.
It was more apparant when she pressed herself against him...
His ears folded back in a blushing type movement, he probably looked silly in this state, or so he thought. He believed a big and poofy tailed fella like him would look funny blushing, but around Echo it didn't matter. He felt like he could do anything with her, and she wouldn't think of him as odd in anyway,like she liked him for him, the same way he liked her for who she was.
But the bear was still around, perhaps it was best to move on from here.
"Echo...perhaps we should move farther downstream, or into the woods... just in case..." he said trailing off, smiling at her, he nuzzled her again, wagging his tail so that it was touching her side on and off with each wag, "I want to make sure we're far away from it..." he said referring to the bear, "I want to make sure we'll be safe..." he continued and finished, with an affectionate smile.

Echo let her tail come out from between her legs and wag a little when he nuzzled her and kept her close. She liked this, how he protected her and made her feel safe, warm, comforted...
She smiled warmly at him when she saw that he was blushing. She thought he looked absolutely adorable when he did that, and she simply couldn't resist him like that. Still smiling, she pawed at his face playfully and nibbled on the ear that was closest to her so that she wouldn't have to clamber all over him.
Yet when he suggested that they move away from the bear, all playfulness simply faded away. He was right, they should get away from the bear before it decided that the wolves were just too suspicious to stick around. Nodding, she picked up the fish and trotted slowly away from the river, off into the forest.
Her tail wagged slightly as she knew that he would follow.

Logan was melting on the inside, that feeling, it was still there, it grew stronger as Echo stayed close to him, made him feel like someone cared about him. How she nipped at his ear playfully, he loved it. He couldn't explain it, but he knew it felt right, and he wondered if she felt it too.
She nodded at his statement and picked up the fish right away. Watching Echo pick up the fish and begin to trot away, her tail wagging back and forth, Logan couldn't help but follow, he felt like he was in a trance that Echo was leading adn manipulating...and he liked it.
He liked everything about her, the way she talked, even though how odd it must be for her, he liked it all the same. They way she walked, talked, she was affectionate, playful and pretty. SO he followed her without a word, simply wagging his tail, wuffing low in an affectionate tone and followed where she was leading him to.

Echo continued along with the fish in her mouth, though after a while the smell was beginning to bother her nose. So when she felt that they were far enough from the bear, and when she felt that her nose could no longer take the smell, she stopped and set down the fish. They were in a rather large clearing, and for some reason she didn't quite think that it felt right.
Folding her ears back, she craned her neck around to glance at him. She wondered if he felt that same vibe that she had.

Logan followed Echo until she stopped in a rather large clearing...odd, he hadn't been here before. No one had mentioned anything about a clearing this big either...strange. Echo seemed to notice this too, it felt strange, to have a clearing this big and have no creatures around, no snakes, squirrels, nothing...only crows that flew over head.
Four of them...
He folded his ears back, crows that flew over head strangely like those did meant bad things, they were seen as omens in his birthpack though he did think they were rediculous, he couldn't help but feel like they should sit towards the edge of the clearing, closer to the woods.
Without words he padded up next to her and picked up the fish in his mouth, the smell might have bothered her a bit, he stood next to her adn nuzzled her gently and gently nudged her in the direction towards the edge of the clearing, so that they could sit in the shade, so that the fish wouldn't spoil.
