"Can you really hunt with yer paw like that? " Tibuka's own stung and ached, yet, he'd learn to tend to it, then ignore it, he had more chance of dying at being overly carefull by not feeling pain than facing it, or pretending it didn't exist.

He shrugged, "I can hunt alright, not as well as normally, but I've had to deal with worse, I couldn't walk when this happened." He said, indicating the scar on his back right leg. "At least I can get around with this."

He stared at the pups scar, and the paw, before nodding and continuing on his way, an ear flicking backwards to indicate that the pup should follow.
"Saw a small gazelle group on my way bak ta graveyard, not too long fore those lions, think they're still there. "

He trotted along behind Tibuka, though trying not to put too much pressure on his front paw.
"Gazelle? Good, I haven't had anything like that for quite some time." He said, he had been mostly living off of little things like rats and hares, and quite frankly they weren't the best tasting of creatures.

"Yeah. Pity they have them big ears. If their there, you can go to the other side and scare them over? Their too fast to chase. " Indeed, Gazelle couldeven get away from cheetah, imagine the much, much slower hyenas? Well, at least hyena's were strong.
And could catch things in packs.

He laughed, "Yeah, probably better if you do the actual killing, you're way stronger than me." He said, "I'm good at sneaking around behind herds of prey anyway." He said, Gazelle were near impossible for hyenas to catch all alone, it was a good thing they were both there.

"Gazelle are weak, if you get them to stop running, its easy to kill. Choke, rip up, their not at all strong. " He said, looking back at the pup but not really stopping walking.
"When we catch one, I'll hold it down and let you kill it. "

Yakuti perked up his ears, "Really? Alright, I think I can do that." He said, mostly confidantly. He had never killed something that big before, but he was willing to give it a try.
"I know I can do that." He said, though more to reassure himself than anything.

(( >> << ))
The hyena nodded. Soon, there was grass peeking out in the gloomy, grey-ish dirt of the graveyard. Same tone, but it went clearing, even if a few bones still found their way into the grass.
"They shouln't be far now, "

((*gasp* Thank you so much Wooga! heart your little mini's are adorable! blaugh ))
He looked out at the slightly grassy area, flicking his ears and looking around for the gazelle herd that was supposedly around here, he lowered his voice a bit just in case they were near enough to be startled by a loud noise. "Alright, I'm ready whenever we find them." He said with a nod, still scanning the area while keeping some of his attention on Tibuka.

The male adult kept walking, only giving the pup an ear flick to indicate to keep going, nose in the air, supposedly following a scent, or trying to find on. Somewhile, he stops, and crouches. The grass was already more tall, and the gazelle are ahead. Unfortunatly, it isn't too tall, and only barely reaches Tibuka's shoulders, even if he's crouched.
"You can go around, " He whispered. "Yer so tiny, wun see ya till ya decide ta pop up. "

When Tibuka stoped and crouched, so did Yakuti. Since he was smaller, the grass hid him pretty well, even though he was blue. He nodded and made his way around to the other side of the herd of Gazelle.
He flicked his ears and bolted forward, growling and snapping his jaws. They ran towards where Tibuka was crouched, and boy was he right when he said they were fast, but he chased after them anyway, once Tibuka pinned one down he wanted to get over there as fast as possible to get at it.

Even though the first were barely getting close, Tibuka was all over them, and soon one of the larger males, wich always an ahead, was pinned under his front paws, on its side so it coulden't kick up into the air.
Just for assurance, the hyena made sure to bite the legs so it couden't escape, while waiting for the younger hyena as the last baby leaped past after the rest. The gazelle still kicked its injured legs uselessly, thrashing its head around in an attempt to escape.

He bounded over to Tibuka and the gazelle, he opened his jaws and bit down on its neck, hard, the injured beast made a sound as though it were deflating, he almost felt sorry for the creature. No! He thought to himself, If you're going to be part of this pack you can't feel guilty for killing things, least of all prey. He told himself as he bit its neck a second time, killing it.
He panted slightly, more from the rush and thrill of hunting something this large than the running, as he only ran a short distance. "There, its dead." He said to Tibuka, rather proud of himself, "We did it, its not nearly so hard to get food when there's two hunting." He said, thinking of the struggles he had normally to scrape together meals of quick little mice and rabbits.

"Thats why hyenas are usually in packs. " The male said letting his paws loose of the dead gazelle, sitting by it. "Ye eat first. " He said cooly, not really too hungry, even if it was enough to desire a good meal. "I didn't have time to get tired. "
