Lost and found.
Handy I am not.

He had come to the park mostly to hide from his sister, Arianna; she had taken up a nasty habit of finding things for him to do. Not fun things either, but mundane tasks such as fixing this, that, and the other around the house. They were tasks he definitely wasn't suited for and he wasn't sure why his sister didn't just bite the bullet and hire a few handy folk. After all he'd break it worse than when he found it.

The crimson haired man shuffled over to a bench that sat neatly under large tree with drooping branches and plopped down unto the seat and just sprawled out over it. For a moment he stared straight ahead before his head tilted back and staring up into the branches of the tree that had glimmers of sunlight piercing through them. He closed his eyes for a long moment just relaxing there.

It wouldn't be long before Arianna found his latest handy work and scold him for not even trying. The problem was that he did try, it wasn't his fault the Vaiile bloodline didn't carry the 'handyman' gene.

The man pointed a fingertip skyward in his mostly collapsed position while murmuring, "Onuris Vaiile is a showman not a handyman! He is the great and wonderful Blaed."

As he said this he came to a sudden and dark realization, he had left his rapiers at home and thus if he even wanted to put the effort in to practice his display he couldn't. Arianna was at home with them and likely planning to hold them hostage. The fingertip disappeared into a clenched fist, "That womanly fiend!" he murmured.

Onuris grunted as he sat upright again leaning forward resting his arms against the thighs of his legs staring down between his feet at a spider standing perfectly still between his feet. It was a rather shiny black spider and it had bright beady little eyes, "Lucky I didn't step on you," he murmured softly. He had no fear of things with eight legs, six legs, or even three thousand legs. As he kept staring at the spider the more he noticed how un-spider like it behaved and looked. He noticed a long chain coming out from its backend. Raising an eyebrow he leaned forward carefully and picked up the chain and the spider came with it, "You little fraud," he chuckled as he watched the spider-figure spin and dangle from its chain.

He sat totally upright as he went about looking over the object he found cupping his hand under the crystal-relic as if afraid that it'd fall off the chain. The spider-figure was cool to the touch and it sent a mild shiver up his spine. Onuris couldn't tell if it was a shiver of delight, fear, or just because it was rather cool against the skin, "All alone, hm? Wonder who left you here," he spoke to the item as if it were a living, breathing, comprehending being but he seemed to not care if it was or not either way.

Onuris quietly took up the chain again and undid the clasp, "Well you aren't alone anymore, might as well take you home." He said after a moment while putting the chain around his neck and refastening the clasp again. Onuris pulled his long hair over the clasp as he had fastened the clasp over his hair rather than fiddling with it underneath the mass of red. He tucked the spider up under his shirt again the cool 'charm' rested his skin and sent another shiver up his spine.

"Sorry, but you don't go with my outfit." He murmured softly as he stood up and stretched, "Time to go back home and attempt to sneak past Arianna." Now he was talking to himself as he walked away from the idyllic bench and toward home.

"Hope she hadn't figured out I left my rapiers home. Last thing she needs is ammunition." Onuris sighed as he exited the park.

What is this place?
I want my mommy.

The Medium
Meeting With Medi - Metis - (PRP - Onuris & The Medium)

...

...

Starting Now

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The night passed with no more interruptions. This of course was a blessing to the Death Iridae due to the fact she had wanted to go back to the peacefulness that could not be found with those idiotic Spirit Keepers. Were they not able to comprehend very simple things?

At least that Claudine woman hadn't pelted her with twenty million questions.

Medium was in the middle of cleaning the living room when the crystal went off. At least it allowed her a break from the cleaning (she despised it) but it did mean she'd have to deal with more people.

Sighing, she went over to her crystal and looked inside. Spider guardian?

Interesting.

Pales
The young crimson haired man strode forward with little fear or care. He was being guided to come here. Though he felt no fear, he did feel an unease tugging at his gut. The place seemed to have an almost foreboding feel coming form it.

All the same he strode up to the door his right hand clutching at the spider-figure that lay against his chest upon a chain and the left hand reaching up to politely knock against the doorframe of the door. He glanced around patiently waiting to see if someone was within. While waiting the young man idly fidgeted straightening out the black silk shirt he was currently wearing as if readying to make a good impression.

The Medium
The door was pulled open and the intimidating looking Iridae stood there, arms spread from frame to frame as she stared at the man with hollow black eyes. "Come in," she said, not even bothering to ask the man his name before turning and entering the house she had been in the process of cleaning.

She may have hated Gaia, but she liked a little bit of order.

Pales
He stared at the Iridae for a long moment and was still staring after her as she moved away leaving him behind. Onuris shook his head a bit and looked down to the ground checking his buckle-style boots for mud or dirt. Satisfied that there was none he finally went through the door after her.

The young man didn’t want to think of what could have happened if he had trudged through with dirty boots. Onuris’ gut feeling of unease grew from a tugging to a complete tightening.

The Iridae had adequately intimidated the crimson haired man whom appeared to be completely human.

The Medium
She turned around, then, and he could see her hollow black eyes, "Well, state your name. Are you going to stand there staring all night?" her voice came, soft...But no emotion was shown in it or her dark skinned face. Each movement sent a small storm of feathers from her bent and broken wings and she didn't seem very happy.

Pales
Onuris glanced back at the still opened door and gently nudged it closed with his foot before moving further inward toward the intimidating being. He had been startled by her suddenly speaking to him and it almost caused a reaction of sorts, but he managed to remain in control of himself and his shifting ability.

He moved his hand away from the spider relic and bowed respectfully as he introduced himself, "I am Lor-," he paused midway as if correcting himself, "I am Onuris Vaiile."

The Medium
"Don't even know your own name, eh?" she asked, noticing the correction. A disturbing smile touched her lips before she moved, not introducing herself, into her room with the crystal. The curtain of happy beads refused to so much as move as she slid through them. The bright light coming from the room went off almost immediately as she touched it.

"Are you coming?"

Pales
The comment stung him and the feeling of intimidation slowly melted away leaving a fiery feeling in his gut instead of the tense feeling of fear. He brushed a hand through his hair as he straightened up from his bow while replying curtly, "I know my name quite well, miss," Onuris walked after the Iridae, feeling that he had defended himself in a satisfactory manner.

"I am right behind you," he murmured as he followed behind her some steps, moving the beads aside with a gentle push and allowing him a way inside with little obstruction.

The Medium
"Mmm. If you say so...Now, I'm not in the mood to beat around the bush. You're a father, congratulations...All that good stuff..." she looked over at her crystal, stroking it almost lovingly.

"Oh, yeah, and it's the Guardian of Spiders. I hope you're not afraid of them..."

The Death Iridae turned her hollow eyes on him once more, waiting to see the reaction of the young man.

Pales
"I do say so and I like people that get to the point," he began to say, but shortly after lost his voice as the full of what was said sunk in. Onuris' hand instinctively reached up to touch the spider figure where it rested on the chain, "N..no I am not afraid of spiders." This was getting rather strange.

His hand fell back to his side as he took in a gulp of air as if he was suddenly suffocating somehow, "Who in the hell would want to choose me as a father and why?" Onuris looked at the woman for a moment, "This isn't some weird joke is it?" his tone showed that he was very doubtful that all this was happening.

The Medium
"Do I look like the kind of person to...joke?" she asked, raising a single eyebrow as she stared at him. She didn't look like she had a funny bone in her body. It was unlikely she had to capacity to joke with all of his seriousness.

"I don't know why they choose who they do, but they do. It's an Iridae, one of my kind. I am Death, she is Spider."

Pales
"Not really," he murmured softly looking downward for a brief moment as if contemplating something, "I do not want to take up your time, and you seem a very busy woman." Onuris normally joked with people and oozed charm, but he found it hard to do so with this being.

"So I'll try to be very brief, I am going to guess this Spider-being is this trinket I found while sitting at a bench, but why is she like this?" He didn't move to remove the chain, but simply kept it on. For now this was the only question he had and hoped the 'Death' Guardian would go into deeper detail beyond that so he didn't have to ask more questions.

The Medium
"She made a mistake large enough to be cast down. To be reborn and given a second chance to better herself. She cannot do that without a Spirit Keeper to give her their life force so she can crack out of the crystal."

She wouldn't go into detail what happened when they fell. It wasn't pretty. Medium simply looked at him, "When she's fed from you enough, the crystal will crack and her essence will appear before turning into an infant. You basically have...maybe two weeks to prepare."

Pales
"A mistake? Fed from me...?" His brow wrinkled slightly in worry as he thought of this, but obviously he didn't really expect an answer, "Two weeks...I'm not worried about preparing any sort of room, but I am worried about preparing my sister. I'm so going to get a lecture from this." Onuris groaned a bit and rubbed his temples.

"What happens if something untoward happens to the item before it can be born?" He wouldn't purposely endanger it, but still it was a question that he needed to ask. Onuris was at times a walking disaster zone.

The Medium
"It dies. And you lose a very large part of yourself," she said simply, not seeing the need to sugar coat it or say anything more than what she said next, "And I'll kill you."

She was death. She could do it....Er...Well, she didn't have all her powers - but he didn't know that. Besides, she looked perfectly intimidating still.

Pales
"That puts a strain on things," squared his shoulders a bit and nodded at Medium, "I'll do what I can then...Unless you have any other things to tell me I think I'll leave you be now." Onuris didn't really want to stay for much longer with this person. The abrasive personality of this Iridae caused him to feel as if he was wrapped in sandpaper and it wasn't a good feeling to have.

In his mind the crimson haired man was already going through various explanations to give to his sister about what is going to happen over the next few days.

The Medium
"That would be nice, I was cleaning," the Medium answered as she stood up and strode out of the room. Despite the light outside and in the rest of the house, the room that Onuris was left in seemed to be completely immersed in darkness.

And when he went to leave, The Medium was nowhere to be seen.

Pales
Sadly for him, he couldn't see very well in the dark. Onuris walked into a near by wall twice before managing to get around it and finally out of the house. The crimson haired man rubbed his now sore forehead as he strode away from the building where that strange woman lived.

He couldn't even so much as sense her around and this bothered him slightly. In the end Onuris decided not to dwell on this and continued on his way home his strides turning into a leisurely stroll as if stalling for time.

Gathering thoughts.
I wish you were here...

Dear Dahlia;

My sister, Arianna, is now off in her room, either crying, laughing, or both. I told her some shocking news: I am to be a father.

My sister didn't ask how or why when I told her, and I guess I can understand what she is thinking...I thought the same thing when that news was dropped onto my lap. It had to be a very bad joke, and that anyone entrusting me with a life is absolutely foaming at the mouth crazed.

I'd still be thinking that if it wasn't for that damned creepy woman that told me all this. This woman managed to, for the second time in my life, intimidate me to a level that I thought I was but a worm. I guess, to her, we are all but worms and nuisances.

Most people I'd joke with, and women especially, I'd flirt with. She was so cold and unapproachable I just kind of wanted out of that cottage at both of our earliest conveniences. I don't know her name, but I bet she'd be hell of a lot prettier if she wore some nicer clothes and smiled. Not one of those creepy 'you're gonna die' smiles, but a genuine smile that lights up the face and eyes...I guess it is hard to smile like that when you are a 'Guardian of Death'.

Anyhow, this 'Guardian of Death' told me that I am to be a father-figure to this 'Spider Guardian' and apparently it is female as it was referred to as a she. Apparently this little trinket of a spider-figure I picked up the other day is feeding off of my life energy. I knew I was getting winded way too easily lately...

I was told it wouldn't be long, perhaps two weeks, before she will break out of the crystal. Quite frankly the idea of being a parent scares the living piss out of me. What if I screw her up? What if I can't give her any answers about what she is and what has happened in her past? All these doubts and what ifs are popping into my head, and I never had to think about that before and it makes me uneasy.

Never before have I given thought about what was going to happen next, but now I find myself doing so. I didn't have to worry about Arianna this much. She was pretty self-sufficient when we escaped our home...

Yet, on the other hand, I am excited. Funny, I know, but there is something about having a little one to care for seems so...delightful. I can get her all the prettiest dresses and give her any toys she could desire. I even got a name for her already: Metis, it means 'resourceful'. The name seems to fit somehow. She will be my little Mettie, ha!

Ahh, it is getting late and I promised Arianna I'd help her with some house chores.

Til' next I write...

Onuris 'Blaed' Vaiile

***

Onuris traced his fingertips over the name 'Dahlia' looking somber and thoughtful before sighing lightly and closing the book while murmuring softly to no one, "I wish you were still here to guide me..."

He moved away from his desk his expression quickly changing to that of a large smile as he exited his room with the uncovered spider-relic still resting against his chest.

So. Tired.
You can't be serious.

He was sitting at the dinner table while Arianna bustled around in the kitchen near by. Onuris quietly shoved a salt shaker back and forth between his hands on the table. He was so not ready to be up this morning, and if he had been left to his own devices he'd have likely slept until late in the afternoon.

This new sleeping habit, of course, annoyed his sister. She needed him to get things done around the house and though she could go out and do errands herself it seemed much more efficient to get her brother to do them. Arianna herself had things to do, and her brother's time seemed very expendable.

She brought out his bowl of oatmeal out to him, but before setting it down she plucked the salt shaker away from him while it was in the middle of it's transit toward Onuris' other hand.

"Hey!" Onuris began to protest, but soon forgot about it when the bowl was set before him and thus be began to delve into it hungrily.

Arianna stood back crossing her arms over her chest and looking amused, "Hungry much?" she asked with a teasing tone to her voice.

He stopped mid-shoveling food into his wide open mouth and glared over at his sister, "Shush, Anna," Onuris said with a grunt and then the shoveling of food into his mouth began again.

His sister laughed lightly and shook her head, "I need you to go to market for me today, and pick things up for dinner," Arianna held up a hand as he began to protest, "trust me, it is in your best interest. Unless you want to help me in the garden today," she smirked at him.

Onuris blinked owlishly at her a moment before turning back to his food and finish it off. Upon finishing his breakfast Arianna picked up the bowl and put the errand list in its place.

The crimson haired man picked up the list and read it over several times mouthing the words on the list, but not saying them. After reviewing the list he tucked it into his shirt pocket and stood up. As he stood the spider necklace fell out of his shirt dangling and spinning momentarily in midair.

Arianna eyed the figure dangling from its chain warily, "Do you really think that creepy thing will turn into a child?" she doubted his story still, it seemed far too strange, and the figure on the chain seemed to speak of ominous things for her just by shape alone.

"Anna, don't talk like that about Metis, and of course I believe it." He looked over at his sister reproachfully, "Like it or not, she is going to be your niece." Onuris said as he stood up straight and smoothed out his shirt front while making sure food bits didn't fall down upon the front marring the fine cloth.

She sighed shaking her head at her bother's comment, "Fine, fine, since you so believe that then go get some baby stuff too, remember we don't have long to prepare." This was as close to support as Onuris was going to get for this particular situation, "I refuse to think that my only living blood relative is insane." Arianna muttered under her breath while she wandered back into the kitchen, "Can't believe he named it..."

Onuris rolled his eyes as he moved toward the hallway leading to the front door. It was very hard for him not to redirect himself back toward his bed. He felt so drained and tired it was hard for him to remain upright, "I wonder if this is what it is like to be pregnant?" he muttered while making a last minute check at the hallway mirror before heading out the door.

While looking into the mirror something made a cracking sound. Onuris stared at the mirror checking it for cracks in disbelief, but then something wispy seemed to creep upward from his chest. He looked away from the mirror and down to his chest and noticed that the spider-relic was the object that had cracked, and now there was smoke escaping from it.

Now he was awake.

Coffee amongst strangers.
I'm not smoking. I'm wisping.

He knew it would happen it was just a matter of time, but it was sort of unfair -- he wasn't ready yet. Damn it all. Onuris was very sure that someone was laughing at him in his distress. To say his mind was everywhere would have been a bit of an understatement. Behind him Onuris was pulling a large cart-wagon which held mostly groceries, but also bits and parcels with which one could place together a nursery, minus the crib. Every now and again the crimson haired man would raise a free hand to his chest to touch the spider-relic that was out in the open and seeming to smoke heavily, but in reality it was a wisp of some sort.

Needless to say he wasn't paying much attention to where he was walking or if he was going to bump into anyone.

Kyrianna had just been returning from picking her son up from his twin's home when her walk was interrupted by a rather interesting looking red headed man bumping into her and the nagaling slung across her chest. The little sling he was being carried in was really something like a sheet and a small hole for his tail but it did the trick better than the normal baby carriers. Considering Belial had no legs to speak of...

"Watch where the ******** you're goin'," Kyri hissed, checking to see if her son was injured from the collision, "I have a child with me."

The young man was walking up until he collided with the woman and her bundle of child. Onuris stumbled backwards and almost into the cart he was dragging behind him with a soft, "Shhhh," followed by a much louder, "it!"

He was about to retort something without looking at the woman he had run into, but he was distracted briefly by two things for the moment. Checking his relic and then listening to the woman finish her comment. Onuris looked up after assured the relic and the wisp were at least intact he blinked a bit, "Ahh, I apologize both for the crude language and the bump. Just a little preoccupied," an excuse, but a true and damn good one.

"I don't care if bomber planes were shitting out peanuts and gold," Kyrianna answered irritably, pushing her long silver hair from the fair face it was hiding. Piercing blue eyes locked on him as she soothed the child who had decided to let out a squawk of disapproval. He hadn't appriciated being jarred - even if he wasn't hurt - and he was already in a hideous mood. Probably why Kyrianna was as well. Being ripped away from his twin was enough to make him want to bite the nearest thing. Kyr had been the one doing the ripping. Thus, the feline woman had gotten his fangs sunk into her arm.

Which was now bandaged.

Man this one was fiesty with a capital F-I-E. He looked down at the child that let out the squawk and then went still again as he watched the child react to it's surroundings before looking back at Kyri with an arched eyebrow, "You would, it'd hurt like hell unless you were under some sort of covering." Onuris was relaxing now and finding the interaction amusing, as noisy as it may have been, people were seemingly walking around them now giving them somewhat of a sour look in passing. Obviously the crimson haired man didn't care, and he didn't care if the woman with a weird-lookin' baby cared.

He wasn't setting out to antagonize either of them, but somehow he'd have to get it through to them that he didn't mean what happened, "In any case, I am still sorry, to both of you."

She narrowed her eyes for a moment and sighed, "Apology accepted." It was all she said, for now. It seemed she wasn't all bad and the look on her face just looked vaguely annoyed. It was then that Belial latched onto one of his mother's hands and bit. Hard. He wanted to go back for his brother! Damnit!

Yelping, the feline pulled her hand away from the naga and put it to her mouth, "Ooittlehit."

Apparently she wasn't only rude to absolute strangers.

He nodded a little now satisfied that his apology was accepted, but now there was a new issue. The woman before him was injured by the child who seemed to have some sort of weird (and apparently painful) oral fixation. Onuris grimaced as he watched looking away a moment and off to the side this was going to make for another one of those long days that seemed to just add to distress rather than mend it. Not much to do about it now, and it seemed doubly silly to ask the woman if she was alright because she obviously wasn't.

"Hey, need a band-aid or something?" Onuris offered, while looking at the baby with some ounce of mixed respect and curiosity.

"No, but I could use some coffee," she answered, glaring at the little naga who was now defiantly chewing on his fist instead of his Spirit Keeper's. At her look, he smiled cheekily and then nestled into her chest, closing his green eyes. It was fun screwing with her.

The feline's tail flicked irritably, "And since I hate drinking alone, and I'm already talking to you and I'd rather not deal with this little s**t alone, if you want you can follow me. Or not. Whatever you want."

Blue eyes glittered slightly as she stared at him with interest. The little bauble around his throat, she noticed, looked to be smoking, "And, uh, I don't think they'll allow smoking in the shop."

A smug little thing, Onuris noted while glancing between mother and naga-child. He made no mention of it outloud but he nodded at the coffee statement meaning that he'd likely follow her so long as she lead the way. Him leading was a little out of the question, and besides it was an good way to get a look at the woman from all perspectives (as piggish as it seems). Onuris didn't really view himself as a womanizer as thought himself to have a great appreciation of all types of beauty. Though the 'beauty' he was speaking with now seemed ill-tempered her looks seemed to make up for that at the moment.

As the woman's eyes looked down toward his mostly unintended adorment he blinked and sniffed as if trying to catch the scent of smoke, but finding nothing but the nice calogne he had put on before breakfast his gold eyes flicked back up toward the woman's face and he sheepishly smiled responding, "I don't think it's smoking as much freeing itself I guess."

He sounded crazed and he knew it, but he had no other way to explain what was happening.

"Mm? Allright, then. I guess it's not different than having a little egg thrust at me by a creepy death lady or having a baby left on my doorstep..." she shrugged her shoulders and started walking, her knee high boots clicking against the side walk and her trench flaring as it caught wind and trailed behind her. Effectively hiding her rear zone. Apparently the female had experiance with men enough to know that lots of clothes meant less looks. Honestly, the woman was quite attractive.

Long silver hair reaching her middle black, clear blue eyes...And a killer body. The only odd things about her were the cat tail and cat ears. Of course her tail was hidden at the moment.

Kyr reached the shop first and held the door open for him, "Ladies first."

Onuris' eyebrows almost disappeared into his hairline at Kyrianna's comment. No, no, it had to be some other lady of the same (yet vague) description. After all, perhaps it was a weird Easter Goth or something. Thus he shrugged it off and followed the woman tugging the cart behind him with some effort on his part and just admiring the view in a non-perverted manner. Instead of undressing her with his eyes he was putting her in several different outfits in his mind and trying to figure what colors would best flatter her and bring out her eyes. It was something he did midst observing people, and obviously he felt it a shame that Kyri had so obviously 'hidden' herself and her form. At least it left some to the imagination, and so he gave her credit for that.

Upon reaching the shop he stopped a moment and made some adjustments to the cart to make it look more like a carrying case and moving past her, but instead of leaving her holding the door he stuck out a foot to hold the door open for her as well, "Ahh, you're lucky I don't take insults to such commentary...Besides I insist."

The feline woman hadn't been expecting him to turn it around on her and simply stepped through the door before turning around and raising a brow at him, "Well, you certainly are unexpected," she voiced before flouncing away to her usual table. The young Naga was removed from his sling and situated in a high chair that the establishment provided - the sling stuffed into the leg holes to keep him from wiggling his way out. Belial didn't seem very happy about the fact but soon found himself snuggled up against it. He was sort of sleepy.

He'd let the boring people talk.

"Are you coming or not?" she asked, turning her head to look at the red head that had so rudely bumped into her.

He had let her pass just simply flashing a smile at her for the commentary made to him as she walked by. For him it was simply enough to smile at her. Onuris watched where she went to sit and waited for her to settle before moving over and hefting his case with him. It didn't seem like an extrodinarily heavy case, but it was just a bit bigger than most shop layouts allowed. The red-headed man nodded at Kyri as she addressed him, "Yeah, trying to only piss off one person. Seems like you were the lucky one," he smirked a bit at her as he finally got to the table and sat himself down at the table and setting the case next to him.

"Anyways, my name Onuris Vaiile, by the way. Glad to have ... bumped into you."

"Mmph. Kyrianna Light," she answered him, peeking into the high chair to see her young son napping away. Satisfied that he wouldn't be causing any more trouble, Kyr settled herself in on the seat and removed her jacket. The trench was draped over the back of her chair leaving her in a black halter-style top. It was easy to see the arrangement of silver and blue jewelry now, hanging between her breasts and across her neck in the most decorative fashion. A black choker with a blue center inside a silver setting was also wrapped around her neck.

And she did, indeed, have a nice body.

"What's your poison?" came a voice from behind them, the waitress looking incredibly bored with her pen poised above an order pad.

"Mocha. Strong."

"Nice name," he commented in reply. As she peeked at her son he also glanced over at the little naga with a small befuddled look crossing his face before smiling again and looking at Kyri, "Never been here before," he was interrupted by the voice behind them and thus he glanced back at the waitress and seeming to consider the comment and then replying, "I'd like a glass of water, please."

For him water was more a matter of knowing he had a long way to walk home and thus a better choice in the long run. Once stating his order he looked back at Kyri and continuing with what he was saying to her, "Though I have seen it many times in passing..."

"Thank you. Yours too. Sky god in Egyptian mythology. Also known as Shu..." Her coffee and his water was brought almost immediately and she lifted it to her lips to take a small sip, "This place I have been to many times. Mostly with someone that I no longer have any association with."

She would not go into that episode. Truth be told the bruise had faded on her face but it hadn't faded from her mind. It had taken a lot for that peacock to get into her heart and it had taken only that moment, that angry moment, to drive the wall around it to be better protected.

Onuris nodded at her quietly, "I don't think my mother knew about all that upon naming me. She just knew she heard it from a teacher growing up and liked the ring of it," he shrugged, "Unlike her I took the time to study the origins and not just brush it off as a 'pretty' name of some sort."

Obviously the red-head didn't seem afraid of looking foolish in front of someone. He took up his water upon reciving it and sipped ait it feeling delighted as the cool liquid seemed to make a satisfying chill into his gut. Onuris watched Kyri a moment before chirping up, "What do you do, I mean, for a living?"

"I'm a shrink," she answered cheekily, peering at him from over her coffee mug before setting it down to let the contents cool further, "And yourself?" her profession wasn't something she was insanely proud of. It was a job, and she got to tear apart people's psychies and rebuild them. It sure was fun, though. Truth be told the feline enjoyed it more than she'd admit. Now motherhood, on the other hand.

Belial gave a little hiccup from his makeshift bed, then, before going silent again. Apparently he really WAS tired.

"A shrink, interesting," he smiled at her engagingly and leaning forward a bit after placing his glass of water to the table so as not to spill it about. Upon being asked his occupation Onuris simply shrugged a bit as if to push it off, but instead of hiding he simply says, "I am a performer of sorts. I know it doesn't sound like a good way to sustain myself or pay bills, but I manage amazingly enough." It seemed like something that needed to be explained before he got a grunt or look of disapproval.

Onuris glanced toward the child as the hiccup was made and simply smiled, "Cute kid when he isn't trying to bite your hand off."

"Well, at least you make money, yeah? Too many guys rely on other people to support them. Usually women," her face twisted into a disgusted grimace, as if the words left a bad taste in her mouth, and shook her head, "Sorry, bad experiance. Anyway. Yeah, the ankle biter is cute when he's sleeping. Other than that, he's the terror of the neighborhood. I fear the day he learns to slither correctly and is able to move around without my aid."

Onuris nodded chuckling a bit, "Yeah. I do it mostly to support my younger sister and I," he shrugged and went on to say, "she takes care of the house and I work for us, it's a good arrangement." He had watched her grimace and merely shrugged, "It doesn't have to be a bad experiance. Me? I wouldn't be able to sit around while someone else ran around working...I'd have to do something." It was easy to see that the red haired man could get bored quite easily if he were to be forced to sit still somewhere. Even now he was starting to fidget with a napkin.

"Most kids, when mobile, seem to be a bit more mischevious. I remember this from my sister when she was born," Onuris gave a good natured chuckle and shrugged, "Though we aren't really that far apart in age I guess...Only a few years apart."

"I have no siblings, only child..." she responded, "But I agree, when they're mobile they're just a little too..." she was cut off by a frustrated noise from the high chair seat, "Gah. Belial, why couldn't you have stayed asleep?" the young woman reached out and picked the Nagaling up, holding him at a distance in case he decided he was irritable enough to make a kitty chew toy out of her.

"EEEEEEEEEEEE!" he screeched, wiggling his lower half frantically. Apparently some kind of nightmare had plagued him and he wasn't happy. Not even his mother would comfort him?! WAS HE THAT BAD?!

The nagaling started to bawl, then, and Kyr bit the bullet, holding him close. Damn children. Damn motherly instincts. If he bit her, she'd throw him against the room.

He nodded as she responded and then the child started making very unhappy sounds. Onuris watched as things escalated and squinted his eyes closed a moment as the screeching pierced his eardrums -- or so he felt. Though the man made no rude comments at all, he sat up straighter and watched child and mother interact noting how she at first hesitated to pull him against her. Onuris reasoned that she was likely thinking she'd be bitten again.

"Aww, poor kid, he had a bad dream, I bet." Onuris smiled faintly, "Or his seat got very uncomfortable."

They hadn't been there for too long, but even for a child sitting while sleeping is often difficult.

"Either or, I don't think he wants to stay here much longer," she hissed, wincing as the little nagalings fangs dug into her shirt. They didn't touch her skin and he was simply chewing on her shirt to comfort himself - but at least the tears had stopped. And the screaming. God the screaming. At least he wasn't as bad as Eirwen in the screeching aspect, "He probably wants to go back to his brother, which unfortunately, he can't. He'll have to deal with his supply of chew toys at home..."

Belial whimpered slightly but curled close to his mother.

Onuris nodded a little sitting up, "Well, I don't think I should keep you here much longer. I am sure we may meet again," he smiled slightly, "I should be getting home myself, or my sister will send a search party after me." The man seemed good natured about the comment. Onuris looked down at the child smiling a bit, "I am willing to part with one of the chew-ring type toys to save your shirt until you get home, Miss Kyrianna."

It felt odd to offer such things, but he did -- it felt kind of nice honestly.

"I'm sure we will, though hopefully it'll be under better circumstances..." she paused and winced as one of the fangs grated her shoulder, "And the shirt's already ruined, but thank you for the offer. He likes putting puncture holes in things, unfortunately."

She smiled a little bit and Belial gave a little hiss before continuing on with his gnawing.

The red-haired man nodded a bit smirking, "Hopefully. A shame about about the shirt, it's quite lovely and fits you well." Onuris complimented sincerely to Kyrianna. He tapped his fingertips idly along the table surface before calling a waitress over for the bill, "No worries, I'll pay for the coffee and such. Least I could do for bumping into you, right?" Onuris seemed at least polite toward the female gender, and while he usually would flirt uncontrollably today he just simply didn't have the energy. The energy he had gained from the surprise prior to leaving home had left him.

The wisp was no longer a source of concern, Kyrianna seemed to make him forget about that for a while..Except now when he looked down and watched the green wisp idly sway about, but do nothing else a look of concern crossed his face.

Kyrianna smiled graciously, "That'd be nice. Thank you, both for the coffee and the compliment. Have a nice day, Onuris, and I hope I didn't detour you too much." she gave a small bow, grabbed her trench, and high tailed it out of the coffee shop with a fussy nagaling clinging to her shirt with both his little fingers and his fangs.

She would need to go clothes shopping soon.

His attention was drawn back to Kyrianna and he smiled, "It is no problem, on both accounts. You have a nice day as well. I look forward to seeing you again." He called after her and then proceeded to get up and pay the bill that the waitress had wordlessly left upon their table. It is a sad sad world when they charge you for a simple glass of water, but hey you have to make money somehow.

After paying the bill he went back to the carrying case and hefted it up and exited the shop. It was going to be a long walk home and he was quite assuredly getting his exercise for the day.

A longing to rest.
But unable to sleep.

Dear Dahlia;

It has been a few days since I had last written, and my only excuse is that I had been incredibly busy. Not only have I been busy but so damned tired I can barely think straight. Not that I am complaining about being busy. After all a busy Onuris is a happy one, right?

Anyways, a few days a go I had a small discussion with my sister about crystal-spider I wear about my neck. Nothing really of note, honestly, my sister just doubts a lot of things. You'd think that being in a world where odd things happening are a normal occurrence she would be less ... disbelieving? I don't know. Either way it was a little upsetting for me. I went to leave and I did my usual mirror check before leaving ... and suddenly the crystal cracked! Well, it made me pretty much forget that I was even tired and I was able to go about my errands. I didn't tell Arianna about it before I left, I didn't need anymore grief after the talk we had at breakfast.

The little spider now has this lovely green wisp coming out it. It's kind of weird and unresponsive. Sort of eerie-like I guess. I keep on wanting to interact with the crystal and the wisp, but I know nothing of note will happen.

Anyways, I did the errands my sister made me do and got things for the new bedroom for Metis when she arrives. During my errands I was distracted and so I wasn't watching where I was going and I bumped into a woman and a ...snake-baby-thing.

The woman was pretty nice looking, but she could dress better. It's like she was trying to hide under her clothes. I guess she has her reasons for it, but such a waste, really. Well, bumping into her caused a bit of unpleasantness between us. The baby, I assume, was hers. Apparently the kid has a sibling somewhere. I didn't get the kid's name, but the woman was named Kyrianna.

About the kid: it seems to like to bite, I certainly hope Metis won't bite. Geesh.

Kyrianna mentioned something about a creepy death lady...It couldn't be the same person could it? That'd be one hellish coincidence if you ask me. Either way, I think I'll be meeting Miss Kyrianna again. She has me sort of intrigued, I must admit. We could become friends, or so I hope.

After a short stop at a café-type place with Kyrianna and her child I dragged my carcass home. Stuff did happen during the conversation...My thoughts seem everywhere at the moment. Either way, I am sure that feline-woman and I could have spent more time talking but the little one awoke and began to cry. It was ideal that I not keep them there any longer.

When I got home my sister seemed to ignore the fact that Metis was emitting a wisp from the crack that was made in her crystal. Arianna simply told me she cleaned out the loft space as it seemed to have the most room for a growing child that is sure to collect things along the way while growing.

I am not inclined to argue or disagree and went on up to take a look. Let me tell you, it was a mess before we got down to the business of actually setting things up. Now it looks like it is fit for a little queen of the night.

The process of setting it up was kind of hellish. We had to gotten our handier elder neighbor (a retired carpenter-type or whatever, we got real lucky in either case). He did free of charge so long as Arianna agreed to cook some of the pastries she had made for him and his wife when we first moved in. Talk about cheap labor!

The room was done pretty quickly with everyone pitching in. Sure there were some accidents (mostly me injuring myself, but let's not discuss that). The reconstruction and such took a few days, but I got a picture of it:

Otherwise, I have been pretty damn tired and hardly able to actually sleep it is like I am too tired to sleep. Kind of disturbing in a way, I still wonder if this is what it is like to be pregnant. Are expecting mothers this tired as well? Poor dears, I say. At least I don't get cravings or anything...

Going to try for a nap now and besides I believe that I have rambled more than enough for today.

Labor of Love.
Pay attention to me.

Onuris was lying on his back simply napping, and the spider-relic simply rested up against his chest. The green wisp coming out of the crack in the crystal was just idly floating there and it almost seemed to be a small shape-less blob standing victoriously over a giant that it had just successfully conquered.

In the waking world it all looked pretty normal and even serene, however, in the dreaming world in which Onuris was the star it was chaos mixed with moments of peace and sweetness. For each moment of peace he was shown with having a child to care for there was a worsening scenario of things gone wrong.

As the man dealt with his troubling dreams; the wisp began to sway and curl suddenly agitated. The wisp began to take form over the man's chest growing and condensing until finally from the smoky-green emerged a four-armed winged child. It's coloration impossible to see in the semi-dark of the room. The infant remained lying upon the man's chest awake and aware. She was trying to figure out what to do next and how to move. The infant noted that this lumpy thing she laid upon was moving, but not in such a way that could make her eventually fall. One of her ears was currently pressed against the lump of whatever could hear a strange rhythmic beating and movement of air.

This feeling of pressure against his chest finally tore him from his dreams. Onuris hadn't opened his eyes yet, but he was now fully aware of his surroundings and this weight that didn't leave his chest. The red-head refused to open his eyes. He still wanted to sleep.

Whatever it was on his chest was now moving and wiggling up and up along his chest until suddenly there was a small hand placed upon his nose; apparently it didn't want him to sleep anymore. Onuris squeaked a bit at this and slowly opened his eyes and peered down cross-eyed upon the hand in the semi-darkness of the room. Onuris' eyes uncrossed as now he looked up at the vague outline of the infant's face who was still sitting upon his chest.

"Oh good, I gave birth." He murmured drowsily and closed his eyes again.

Displeased the infant began to pull at his nose giving a soft whine. She didn't know what the words meant but she wasn't going to settle for less than full attention at the moment!

Onuris opened one eye trying to pull his nose out of the infant's grip, "Hey, hey, it's atta..." he stopped mid-talking and now both eyes were wide open. It had finally occurred to him what had happened while he slumbered. The child had emerged while Onuris was sleeping.

The infant seemed pleased that he was now awake and paying full attention to her and thus released his nose from the pull. She had also stopped whining. Metis stared down in an imperious manner. Sleep time was over, and now it was time for him to adore and fawn over her.

The man began to sit up wrapping an arm around the child so as not to drop her and turned on the lamp on his nightstand so as to get a better look upon the child. Onuris quietly looked her over as if he were an expert on infants. In honesty he didn't really know the first thing about them.

He held the child at arm's length staring at her critically with a wrinkle in his brow, "Dunno much about kids but they usually don't have four arms, or wings," Onuris muttered, "but you're pretty so I guess that doesn't matter does it, Metis?"

The little girl just kind of hung there in his arms looking very not amused. The funny person was holding her weird and was blathering things she didn't understand except for the last part which was apparently addressed to her. Metis tilted her head in response, but still looked displeased.

Finally Onuris brought her in and gently held her in his arms, "Guess it's time for you to formally meet your Auntie Anna."

Metis just whined a bit. She was hungry, and this man talked far too much. The infant was getting the feeling that this weirdo talked just to hear his own voice. At least that is how it felt.

Seeming to ignore the whine at the moment he stood up and wandered toward the door and swung it open. The window in the hallway lit the floor in an orange-red cast proving it to be late afternoon. Onuris wandered, with child in arm, downstairs to the kitchen. Arianna was likely cooking dinner right about now....

You have a niece!
No one told me babies bite.

Onuris slunk toward the kitchen holding the four-armed child close to his torso. The infant was peering up at the red head's face as all four hands gripped upon the fabric of his shirt as if afraid the man will drop her.

He absently glanced down into the staring gaze of the child in his arms and absently used an easily freed hand to brush a hand over her hair to move an errant strand of white hair from the infant's face. With the same hand he motioned for the infant to remain quiet, but it was doubtful she understood what the gesture meant. Still the child made no sound of complaint, and instead she seemed to loose interest in the strange man that was transporting her around and looking at her surroundings.

Smiling to himself Onuris peeked into the kitchen doorway. The actual door to the kitchen had long since been removed as it was broken. Onuris had broken it when he had once used the connecting dining room for a practice area.

In the kitchen Arianna flitted about cooking and cleaning. She was paying no mind to the skulking form of her brother in front of the door.

Onuris stood off to the side of the door, which hid the child from view, and allowing him to show only his head from the side of the door. His red hair cascaded down from his shoulder as he had to tilt his head in order to accomplish this and keep his balance, "Ahem, Darling Sibling? Are you currently busy?" Now was a good time to get her attention, Arianna was only holding a towel in her hand. It was better than risking that she'd drop something breakable in what would likely be a numbness that would follow the shock he was about to give her.

Arianna's hand gripped onto the towel as she stopped from her tasks around the kitchen, "Onuris, I don't have time for your games. What is it?" currently she was facing away from him and was even making a point to not look at him. There was something to his tone that she disliked. It was surely a prank as he sounded almost mischievous. Yet there was no response from him not even a footstep. The b*****d was wearing socks and no jewelry.

She knew he was still in the kitchen Arianna could feel his presence and yet something was odd, it was like he was closer. She clenched her jaw and whirled about to face him only to become almost nose-to-nose with a golden eyed white haired child. The woman's eyes widened and her breath caught in her throat and for a long moment there was nothing but silence as the towel fell numbly from her fingertips.

"Well?" Onuris' voice came from behind the child. He almost sounded delighted and excited about all this. The child however was becoming agitated at being dangled there and thus she squirmed and began to whine softly.

Arianna soon found her wits and turned away from the child and her brother and finally found her breath as well. Her chest heaved as her shaky hands found the counter behind her. She couldn't deal with a child coming out of a pendant it had to be a hoax, "G-get that child back to her mother, Onuris. This isn't funny." Arianna leaned heavily on the counter as she partially attempted to lift herself onto it as if to climb out of reach of the child in her brother's grasp.

Metis watched the climbing woman with a displeased look slowly creeping onto her face before she opened her mouth showing her fangs and began to wail quite loudly to show her discontent at being dangled and that the woman freaking out was freaking her out as well.

"OH DEAR GODS! SHE HAS FANGS!" Arianna screamed as she pulled her legs up to her chest as she perched on the counter shrinking further away (or at least trying to). She was really not enjoying this little stunt her brother is managing to pull on her.

Onuris frowned and cradled the child in his arms now and just shook his head, "You frightened her." He said reproachfully to his sister as he took a step back, "We'll be up in my room. She is mine even if you don't accept her as your niece." Onuris murmured haughtily as he left the kitchen. Metis was still crying and whimpering as they exited the room.

Arianna's chest still heaved a moment but slowly she calmed down and her legs draped downward over the edge of the counter. The young woman sat like that for a moment before she slid off the counter and picked up the basket she used to shop for groceries. Arianna walked past the stairs and stopped at the foot of them glancing up as she called out, "I'll be shopping for baby some baby bottles and formula. Keep an eye on the dinner until I return."

By the time Onuris appeared at the top of the steps with the quieted child still in his arms, his sister had left. The red headed man just smiled quietly and peered down at the child in his arms, "See? No one can resist our charms," he chirped cheerfully.

Metis merely yawned in response her upper right hand grasping at the finger her had dangled before her face just then. She pulled the finger to her mouth and gave it a healthy bite.

"OW!"

To the beach and beyond!
Such a pain in the tongue...

Kyocho
Open RP!
--------

Vin whistled a happy tune. Listening to his voice echoing out through the stagnate air. The two where heading out yet again to the beach. It seemed to be there favorite local spot to relax and have some fun... and on the plus side it kept the little blue baby content.

The wild elf adorned in a full body of tattoos removed his shoes just as soon as they finally hit the sand that lined the grain plane from the smooth concrete sidewalk.
"Yay we... are finally here!" Vin said smiling down on the grumpy looking Arranos. The baby obviously had a look of 'let me down' written across his face, but his guardian wasn't going to allow such a thing.
"I'll let you down in a minute," Vin mumbled, reaching around to retrieve the rolled up brown colored towel from his backpack.

The guardian set down the child and began unrolling the soft towel out. Unaware of what Arranos was getting into.

A bright red and white looking creature began to scurry across the sand. Kicking up sand with every foot step it took. Arranos saw this and instantly thought of the animal as a toy. With a happy resounding gurgle the giggle. The blue baby began his hunt.

Rayne Winner
Lucien was grummbling as he walked down along the beach, it had been a while since he had been here, almost a year or something like that. He looked out over the water, watching it come in and out in waves. His tail swished back and forth a moment before his attention was draw to the ones that were following him and he gave a sighing sound. This was so embaressing... By the time he'd made it to the beach with a whole swarm of various critters following after him, mostly the winged kind. Butterflies, bees, moths, dragonflies, and a few other types. Lucien lifted his hand and waved it to attempt to get them to drop back a bit but that only worked for a moment before they returned.

Shaking his head he turned to look around, catching site of the others that were there, normally it wouldn't mean anything to him. There were people everywhere after all. It was the fact that the necklace about his neck seemed to react to them. He looked down at the sixwinged gem curiuosly.

Pales
The young red haired man stepped onto the soft sandy beach, but his arms were occupied with a small four-armed bundle of white haired joy. Though joy didn't seem to be what crossed the infant's face as she buried her face into the crook of the man's neck. Obviously the child was objecting to something about the environment. The man glanced down at the back of the child's head as he was unable to efficiently move his head to get a proper look.

Blaed sighed a bit jostling her gently to get her to lift her head away from his neck. It didn't seem like a good idea to let the fanged infant anywhere near his neck. Not to say he didn't trust the babe, but still accidents did happen. He didn't particularly feel like being a statistic.

"C'mon, Metis, it isn't that bad out here is it?" Blaed muttered to the child in a cajoling tone as she indignantly looked up at him for the jostling. The child referred to as Metis only gave a soft unhappy whine and squinted at him as if to make a point.

Kyocho
Vin sighed in relief and flung himself backwards into the sand. It was hot out, but it was still a rather nice day. No clouds hung from the blue sky. Vin finally woke up to reality.
Where’s Arranos?

"Arranos?" Vin shot himself back up and panicked like no other. "Arranos?" Vin scratched at his head. Looking to his left, a trail of two lines edged there way down through the sand and down a small hill.
"Ah.. ha!" Vin mustered up.

Following the two lines. The guardian found the baby of blue. Almost with his hands around the red crab, who was annoyed by the time the guardian had found the two.
"What are you doing?" Vin reached out and latched onto the child. "Next time don't run off like that!" Vin smiled. Arranos returned a grumpy grin.

Arranos pressed his face into the guardians shoulder. Yawning a bit, being a little tired out from the heat of the sun. The blue baby began to rub his head back and forth on Vin's shirt.

Rayne Winner
Lucien lifted his hand up to run it through his hair, brushing it back. He didn't say anything just watched the other man and the child before looking down at Nova's crystal, curious upon whether or not what he was guessing was true. He wanted to ask but would it seem a little off? To go up to someone at random and go 'excuse me but is your child an Iridae?' instead he sat down in the sand looking over the water but listened closely.

Maybe he would get a clue that would tell him what he needed to know? Then he would be able to ask them things he'd not been able to ask the Medium. He gave a sound of relief as a few of the bugs flittered off, butterflies, to move lazily about Arranos seeming drawn to him due to his coloring, maybe they thought him a flower Lucien thought to himself.

Pales
Blaed felt naked without his rapiers, but he left them at home since he had no intention of exposing his newly emerged child to such things yet. He looked around the beach quietly getting an idea of the people surrounding him. An elf with a blue child, another interesting looking man sitting at the beach as well, and yet he wasn’t sure if he should approach either of them. It was not in the man to be shy.

He could be subtle, however, and thus he moved along and sat down a few feet away from Lucien, as if he had just so happened to choose that spot at random. This illusion was shattered as soon as the man had gotten the four-armed and winged infant situated upon his lap he addressed Lucien with a nod and then peered over at Vin and Arranos thoughtfully.

Metis peered over at Lucien as well. The person’s appearance intrigued her quite a bit. The blue child wasn’t exactly in her line of sight yet.

Kyocho
Vin's elf ears perked. Hearing the rustling of sounds behind him in the distance. Stiffening his pose, Vin turned his head to the left to see who it was that had arrived at the beach.

It was a man. Clad in red and black, one who had to be the oddest looking people he had ever seen in his life... but that’s not what caught his Elvin eyes. It was the gem hanging off his neck. A six winged butterfly with a smoke pouring out of it. Vin's eyes grew large in size as he quickly turned away.
Are they stalking me now?

Vin shook his head and smiled down to Arranos. The baby had a grumpy looking grin on his face. Peering over his guardians shoulder. Arranos' pinched his eyes and he focused on the child with multiple arms. Making a grabby hand reach out motion with his own hand.

Vin gave Arranos a pat on the but as he sat the child down on there brown towel. Obviously trying to ignore the two as much as possible.

Rayne Winner
Lucien looked over at the small, multi armed child a smile appearing on his lips. She reminded him of someone that he knew. He lifted his normal hand to give her a small wave then to the father, since the man had been polite enough to nod at him, "Nice day." He preferred the warm weather even if it brought out all sorts of bugs that wanted nothing more then follow around the crystal that he wore.

He was, at the moment oblvious to what the parent to the blue child was thinking, it was chance that brought him here and he was trying his best to keep quiet, not to ask a bunch of questions of the two of them.

It was hard though... and finally he blurted out to Blaed, "This is gonna sound odd but... is she an Iridae?" He flushed a little after he said it, as if it were one of the hardest things the teen had to do. Of late though he'd gotten into the habit of keeping to himself and those closest to him. Addressing strangers was a bit odd.

Pales
Metis merely copied the waving motion with her own hand looking quite befuddled at the motion. It didn't seem logical to her, but weird looking man seemed interesting enough for her to consider echoing actions back at him.

The red-haired man glanced over at Lucien as he spoke and blinked grinning lightly, "I was going to ask you the same thing," he indicated to crystal about Lucien's neck which had a wisp coming from it. It showed that he had indeed noticed the crystal as well, but he didn’t show it when sitting next to the young man, "I just got a bit sidetracked is all. Yes, my little one is an Iridae." He responded to the question easily. Blaed felt he could at least trust Lucien since he also had a crystal. The red haired man was, however, not sure what to assume about the blue child and the elf.

The four-armed infant was now noticing movement and was watching Vin and Arranos. The blue child was now within her sight and he was making grabbing motions. The white haired girl canted her head slightly to the left. It was bright outside, but at least there were enough interesting individuals to keep her occupied.

Kyocho
Arranos grumbled with a frown on his face. Staring blankly up at his guardian. A look of 'how dare you!' written on his face. The child's emotions seemed to change just as much as his own diaper does.

"What’s up?" Vin whispered, trying to keep his voice down. But his Elvin ears twitched as a single word violated his hearing. 'Iridae' Vin heard the two talk about.
"They must be..." Vin mumbled again, but this time a not just to himself.

Arranos tilted his tiny figure to the left, trying to avert his eye sight around his guardians frail figure. Trying to keep the other child in his own range of sight. It was her wings and the string that hung off them that intrigued him the most. Having the urge to chew on the string.

Rayne Winner
Lucien gave a sigh of relief then smiled, "Yeah, she is too." He said, motioning to the one around his neck. He could relax a bit now, had the man not known what he was talking about he didn't know how he would have reacted, no doubt have been rather embaressed. He looked over to Metis for a moment then back to the crystal, "Its hard to believe that this crystal will change into a child." He said, his long scorpion tail swishing back and forth behind him.

He was having a bit of a hard time articulating it would seem. He gave a bit of a laugh, "Sorry, I don't often go up and talk to people at random." He said glancing over to Blaed, "Was a bit curious though, if I am bothering you feel free to tell me."

Pales
Blaed chuckled a bit and nodded, "You may call me Blaed by the way. This little one is Metis." He indicated the infant girl with the nod of his head. The way he introduced himself, however, indicated that Blaed was more of a nickname of sorts. A name he seemed to just offer up as a quick introduction or just on a whim to use around various people. Whatever his reasons were he kept them to himself for now.

The red haired man nodded to Lucien quietly, "It is, isn't it? My sister doubted it more than I did," Blaed laughed lightly and shrugged, "it's easier to be skeptical than it is to believe..."

Metis was intent now upon watching the blue boy or at least what she could see of him. Her wings sometimes shivered or the wind would blow across the beach ever so gently causing the string to sway ever so tantalizingly.

Blaed waved a hand dismissively at Lucien's comment, "I talk to people at random because I find that I meet interesting folks that way, and trust me if I hadn't wanted to chat I wouldn't have seated myself so strategically," he grinned a bit and shrugged, "curiosity often gets the better of me."

Kyocho
Arranos eyed the wavering string on the multi-limbed girls wings. Causing a bit of drool to run down his mouth. It looked like the most enjoying thing in life to chew on. Arranos began to budge and crawl over his guardians lap.

"Did you two say Iridae?" The elf called out. Keeping his frail figure turned away from the other two. Unsure of what he should do in this kind of situation. Vin was beginning to worry, two more Iridae. They must have fallen for some odd reason. Vin looked down at Arranos. Wondering why he had fallen himself.

"Sorry I don't mean to edge my self into your conversations... it's just the moment seemed to be right!"

Rayne Winner
"My name is Lucien." He said, introducing himself. He knew what it was like to have secrets so he wasn't one to push even if there was that moment of curiousity that he brushed away, "And I shouldn't be as I have seen a lot of odd things but a crystal becoming an angel child..." Even as a Fa'e and even after seeing some weird stuff that seemed a little odd to him. Metis though seemed to be all the proof that he needed that it was true even passed the Medium explaining it all.

"I find myself talking mostly to people I know of late." To much bother to try to make new friends but... this wasn't to bad he would have to admit.

He turned his head towards the voice of the elf that was with the blue skinned child at his question, shaking his head, "Not a problem. If we can start a conversation at random no reason why you can't join." Another guardian then. He wondered for a moment how many of Iridae were around after seeing these two.

Pales
"Nice to meet you, Lucien," he replied with a nod to the introduction. Blaed glanced down to make sure Metis was where he had put her last, on his lap, and she was.

Metis hadn't moved since she was placed there. She just staring at Arranos and watching how he reacted. The little girl did find it disturbing that there was a thin line of moisture coming out of his mouth. What was that?! Her small forehead wrinkled a bit. Did stuff like that come out of her mouth, too? Metis watched somewhat warily now.

Blaed glanced at the elf-like figure as he spoke up and chuckled, "Feel free to come talk with us, since you seem to know what we speak of," he invited, "I will try not to invade your personal bubble." He seemed to say as a promise. Vin seemed like he'd appreciate that sort of thing. Blaed himself had no 'personal bubble' of which he could ascertain.

Vin watched Arranos warily. Seeing the drool pour from his mouth. Vin reached for the a corner of the towel and cleaned off the drizzle. "What are you doing?" Vin shot the baby a confused glance, only to receive a grumpy glare in return.

The elf reached down and lifted his child up and turned his frail figure around and plopped Arranos back down, but this time the child had no objects in the way of watching the girl.

Arranos giggled and laughed. Throwing his hands up into the air in celebration of his victory. The blue baby tilted his head, seeing the look on the girls face.

"Yeah... I guess I do know much about what you are talking about, but not as much as the Medium does." Vin scratched at his head.

Rayne Winner
Lucien was quite for a moment as he took in the two little ones, thought on his girlfriends daughter and it started to more and more sink in that he was going to be a father. One of those things that while he had known it for a while now after his talk with the Medium it was sinking in slowly. He lifted his hand up to fiddle with the crystal, watching the way the yellow mist floated around his fingers.

"I have a question since both of you have been through this and I have been unable to meet up with the Medium again to ask her. Do you have any idea of the little ones can hear anything while they are still inside of the crystals?" He'd found himself at times talking to it and he the question had been plagueing him.

Pales
Metis was now more conscious that she had a mouth and something was in it and it wiggled aimlessly as she grew more aware of it. What disturbed the infant more was that she couldn't see what was in her own face! If she can't see inward then she should try to take it out to see if she can have a better look at it. Thus her upper right hand reached into her own mouth to try and catch her own tongue so that she may pull it out. Metis struggled a moment before she managed to catch the seemingly foreign object in her mouth with thumb and forefinger. The texture of the tongue was displeasing but she tried to pull anyhow. Soon the pulling hurt, but not enough to make her stop at the moment.

Blaed watched the spectacle, only partially listening to Lucien and Vin as they spoke. He wasn't going to stop her yet. Metis wouldn't learn anything if he stopped her at this point.

"I always talked to her, but I am not sure if she heard me or not when she was in the crystal." Blaed admitted to Lucien.

Kyocho
Vin raised an eyebrow. Watching the girl stick a hand into her mouth. Tilting his head slightly. Vin lifted up his own hand and stared at it. Thinking that it must be food... and taste good... since she was trying to eat it. Arranos swiftly stuck his fist into his mouth and drool began to dribble out.

Vin tilted his head,
"What... are you doing?" The elf whispered. Staring at Arranos sitting in his lap. The elf shifted his gaze up to the other child and raised his own eyebrow.

"Weird these guys are!" Vin manage to muffle over his hearty laugh.

Rayne Winner
It gladdened Lucien a bit to hear that, so he wasn't the only one that talked to the crystal. Good, good. He looked down at Nova, smiling some. That made him feel a bit less odd about talking to her while she was inside of the crystal until she came out. Course being able to have one of his questions answered made a multitude more spring to mind, "One other question, what was it like when they appeared before you?" Was it something flashy and bright or would it be a surprise?

He really hoped that he wasn't going to drive the two older men crazy but when he found someone that may know the answers he was seeking he couldn't help but ask them.

Pales
He laughed a bit and shrugged, "I was kinda asleep when it happened. Nothing flashy that I can recall, I just remember feeling this weight on my chest and when I didn't open my eyes the little tyke started pulling on my nose." Blaed reached up a hand and rubbed the bridge of his nose, but he seemed in good humor about the event as he was still laughing. The red haired man didn't seem to mind answering Lucien's questions, and in fact seemed glad to.

Metis stopped and stared at Arranos quietly and slowly removed her hand from her mouth and wiped her hand on her father's shirt so as to wipe away the slobber residue. Her tongue was still hanging out and she had forgotten about it, until she clamped her mouth shut and by doing that she bit her own tongue with her fangs. The girl went very tense and tears began to well up. That hurt more than the pulling!

Blaed had nodded in agreement to Vin about the children's currently strange behavior and even took Metis' wiping her own slobber on his shirt in stride and simply laughed it off before returning attention to Lucien and Vin. The red haired man looked down at his daughter and frowned while lifting her into his arms trying to soothe her before she could have the chance to wail at the indignity of it all.

Kyocho
Vin slipped his hand out of his mouth and made a slish sloshing sound. Trying to taste if anything was left from his hand. Looking up at his guardian. Arranos released a long yawn before falling back on his chest.

Vin looked down at the baby.
"Looks like some one is getting ready for a nap," Vin shrugged his shoulders. "It looks like I better be heading out. It was very nice meeting you two." Vin stood up and retrieved Arrranos and flung the towel over his shoulder.
"I hope we do get to meet again!" Vin smiled and trudged through the sand.
"Oh and the name is Vin and this little guy is Arranos!" Vin laughed, almost forgetting to introduce himself earlier. He turned his frail figure around and headed off again.

Rayne Winner
Lucien watched as the one called Vin and his son Arranos headed off giving them a wave, "I hope to see you again too." He called after their retreating forms his attention then went back to Blaed and Metis, "I thank you for answering my questions. I have been rather curious about somethings about Iridae."

And really he had no exact idea where the Medium lived having found her by accident the last time.

"I probably should be going too. I headed out for a walk only and ended up quite a ways from home." He said, pushing up to his feet, brushing off the sand with his hand and tail, "I hope that we get to meet up again too, maybe after Nova arrives she will be able to make friends with Metis."

He was hopeful that Nova did better by making friends then he himself did.

Pales
Blaed freed a hand and waved farewell to Vin and Arranos as they introduced themselves and then departed. He himself started to stand up since they all seemed to be getting ready to depart. Metis had long ago snuggled up to her father's chest and was sniffling and whimpering softly. He dropped his hand and brushed his fingertips over her hair as he looked back at Lucien with a smile.

"I think that'd be wonderful," he said in response to Lucien's offer, "and perhaps we can become friends through that as well." He sounded quite sincere as he said this. Blaed smiled lightly, "We will have to find a way to arrange such a thing. I am afraid I have no pen or paper otherwise I'd offer my address."

Metis quietly started to doze off as she listened to the voices of Blaed and Lucien talk.

It wasn't as if Blaed was really expecting to make any sort of acquaintances this day, "I was going out to get Metis exposed to the world outside," he replied to Lucien's comment as to why he was out. Surely the younger man didn't ask, but it seemed good to know about the other's motives.

Rayne Winner
Lucien's hands patted his pockets a moment before shaking his head, "Ah... no. Sorry I don't have anything on me either." He said, feeling a bit foolish for a moment then shook it off. No, he'd had no way of knowing that there would be a need for exchanging adressess so how would he have known that he would need to bring such things with him.

"Maybe we will be lucky and cross paths again?" He wasn't sure on whether or not hoping for such such would help or not but at the moment since they lacked the needed stuff to exchange infor it was all that they had. And he wanted to meet up with them again, especially after Nova arrived.

Pales
The man grinned and shook his head, "No worries, we will meet up again. I like to roam quite a bit and I can be found just about anywhere." Blaed replied. Obviously it was his way of telling the other not to feel foolish or too badly. He seemed very confident about being able to meet up with the younger man.

"I am sure the Fates will see to it that we meet again," he nodded sagely, "and I will make sure that I at least have some business cards made or something to hand off to you." Blaed smirked.

Looking up at the sky a moment he squinted a little as if trying to determine something and then looked back down at Lucien, "T's getting late, my friend, and so I shall take leave now. You take care of yourself and your little one. I am sure she will be here soon." His arms were currently busy holding onto Metis and he dared not move them for fear of waking her, "I'd wave or bow, but I am sure you understand I am a little tied up." He chuckled and then simply nodded, "Good day to you, Lucien. It has been a good meeting."

With that he turned his body in the direction he figured home was and began to walk.

Went to the Beach...
Didn't get a tan. Bummer.

Dear Dahlia;

Went to the beach with Metis, but I am not sure she was too fond of the experience. At least it wasn't fruitless since she got to meet someone her own age and interacted with a strange clawed young man who had a crystal much like the one I had before Metis was born. I hope his little one is born well.

Anyways, Metis seemed to get along well with the other infant that was here. It was a little blue lad covered in gems. Real unusual but he had some nice wings...Though, I can say with confidence, no wings can rival my Metis’ wings. Then again I am biased, I suppose. Ha-ha.

We all parted from the beach on good terms far as I could tell. I hope to see the other two men again. It felt nice to just be around other men and not have to primp and strut around for women. It gets exhausting.

I wonder if it is true what they say about infants and women though. Do little ones really attract the fairer sex? That might be worth testing out...Then again maybe not, 'Anna would kill me. Sigh, sisters are such killjoys.

Anyhow, I think I am going to give Metis a bath and get her ready for bed. Maybe get myself something else to eat. Arianna neglected to cook this evening uttering something about making my own meals for once. Honestly, how am I gonna get the girl married off with that attitude? I'm kidding...kind of.

I love my sister. I'd love her more if she had cooked dinner. : (

Bye-for-now Dahlia.

Onuris 'Blaed' Vaiile

***

Onuris signed his name in the journal with a small flourish of his wrist dropping the pen onto the open page soon after. He sat still for a moment staring down at what he had written with a small smirk on his lips. Hopefully he'd run into Lucien and Vin again one day.

Behind him Metis let out a small squeak as the blankets from Onuris' bed fell on top of her. She had been on the floor as her care-taker had written in the journal. Apparently not content to just lay about she had taken to pulling on the bit of blanket that stuck out. The blanket was quite obviously taunting her to pull on it.

The red haired man laughed as he turned and saw what had happened. He stood and picked up the blanket covered Guardian, while being mindful of the wings he removed the blanket and moved to the door, "Such a silly little thing you are," Onuris cooed softly at the child.

Metis stared at the man for a long moment. Then suddenly she reached up and grabbed an errant strand of hair, stuck it in her mouth and chew on it. A strange satisfied expression crossing her features as she stared at the man's face.

Onuris' face made a worried expression. That couldn't be good for his hair...

Market Day.
Nice seeing you again!

[] Synopsis:______________I'll tumble for you...___

Onuris and Metis went out to an open market! There they met an older Arranos and Vin!

The meeting seemed to go well. The men chatted, children interacted peacefully, and life was good. Market places are a fun place to shop for odd bits of cloth and other things. Oh and shinies, market places have a lot of shinies.
