Mehiyal nodded and took a last bite of his sandwich and a slurp of juice. "'m done..." he said softly, pushing his plate aside. He didn't exactly relish the idea of playing outside, but if it wasn't with his siblings it couldn't be that bad, right? He held out his hands with one in a fist over the other. "Ready?"
"Yeah..." Nima said a little sadly. "I think it's a little harder this way, they show up knowing so much about themselves already and you don't have a clue. Still," she grinned, "It's nice not being woken up in the middle of the night to a crying baby when you first have them."

Ayden turned around and smirked. "Ready!" He said all happy and playful. "Rock, Paper, Scissors..." He said as he pounded his fist against his hand 3 times and then turned around holding out his 'rock'-shaped fist.
"Yeah, he seemed to be kind of confused at first, but lately he seems more sure of what he's doing. I just... don't know what it is that he's doing..." Heart sighed a little bit. "It's hard to be left out of the picture because they do know what's going on." Heart nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, that is nice, Ayden is very independent so I'm not sure he would've even cryed for me when he was a baby.

Mehiyal followed suit and ended up with scissors. "Aw...I'm it..." he said a little dejectedly. "Okay...you want a head start?
"Mmm...sometimes it feels like they don't really need you when they leave you out of the loop so much." She took another bite and swallowed. "Mehiyal's not exactly a people person, so I'm not sure what he would have done as a baby," Nima said with a somewhat quizzical look on her face.

Ayden sprang up from the red blanket he sat on as soon as he saw that he had won, "Sure!" He said excitedly, happy he was not 'it' because 'it' seemed like it was a bad thing since he was supposed to run away from it. Ayden ran off in the opposite direction of the parents and Mehiyal, this was his chance to get a little farther away from Heart and call it a game.
Heart nodded her head. "I'm just there to make sure he's fed and not hurt it seems." Heart agreed. "But I kind of enjoy taking care of someone other then myself." Heart looked at Nima. "I'm not quite sure what type of person Ayden is yet, he seems happier when he is around kids his own age, and he is very attached to his twin sister, they hate to be seperated, those two." Heart set her sandwhich down and watched the boys from where she sat while talking to Nima.

Mehiyal scrambled to his feet and dashed after the other boy, grinning just a little bit, though he wouldn't admit it to himself. He ran as fast as he could, trying to catch up to Ayden.
"I'm sure you'll find out as he gets older and you spend more time with him," Nima replied, then titled her head. "A twin? I didn't notice anyone else here...is she doing something else today?"

Ayden made a quick glance over his shoulder to see Mehiyal getting closer to him. Ayden was chubbier then Mehiyal so he was a slower runner. Ayden thrashed his arms through the air as he tried to gain more speed and get further ahead of the closing Meyhiyal.
Heart shrugged her shoulders "Yeah, probably." Heart looked at Nima and gave a quick nod of her head. "Yes a twin sister, I wouldn't expect her to be here, she is in someone else's custody, for some reason one ended up with me and one ended up with a woman named Dragain." Heart spoke softly.

Ha! Mehiyal thought to himself as he got close to Ayden. He wasn't the best runner in the world, scrawny as he was. But it seemed Ayden was just a little slower. "Tag! You're it!" he called out, touching the other boy's forearm lightly.
"Oh...that's...odd..." Nima said softly, a little confused still. "At least they get to see each other, right? No idea why they ended up apart?"

Ayden felt a burst of energy as the boy touched his arm, but it was rather small because as soon as he had felt it the boy had already run off. "I chase you now then, right?" He asked as he began to run after Mehiyal.
Heart nodded her head agreement. "Oh yes, they see each other alot, they can't stand to be apart, those two, Ayden is very protective of her too from what I have observed. Nope no idea.... it is odd though." Heart said softly her eyes trailing Ayden running across the park.

Mehiyal felt just slightly disoriented and weak after he tagged Ayden. He didn't think much of it, figuring it was from getting up and running all the sudden. "Uh-huh," he nodded and dashed off, running farther away from the picnic.
Nima shrugged. She just met Ayden and Heart, she certainly didn't have any idea about the twins. "At least they get along." She grinned wryly, thinking of Mehiyal and his relationship with his sister. "Does she actually put up with him being protective?"

((I won't be able to reply as Heart, my apologies to that, can it be assumed that Heart and Nima had a relatively pleasant conversation?))
Ayden smirked as he gave chase to Mehiyal, certainly he wasn't as fast as Mehiyal but the brief burst of energy he had gotten helped pick up his pace. Ayden gained on Mehiyal, but not too quickly, he had to bob and weave to reach the faster Tale. Finally, he managed to touch Mehiyal on the arm where his clothes did not cover.
However, instead of immediately letting go he let his hand linger for a few seconds longer. Already the younger Tale began to draw energy, not too much or else Mehiyal and his guardian might become suspicious. And if people were suspicious of him, they might be suspicious of Elana and that could not happen. With a bright grin, he pulls his hand away, "Now you're it again!"

Mehiyal's legs felt wobbly as Ayden tagged him again. It wasn't much, just enough for the boy to notice. His vision blurred into soft blues and greens instead of sky and grass for a second. He shook his head to clear it. Everything was in sharp focus again when he opened his eyes, so he thought nothing of it.
"Not for long!" he said, forgetting the momentary wierdness. He ran after the other Tale, flailing with one skinny arm. The game would probably have been easier with more people, but in Mehiyal's mind, more people usually meant a bad thing.

Ayden grinned as he sprinted away from Mehiyal, ducking behind whatever object he could find to use as a shield. In all fairness, playing tag was rather fun.
"You can't catch me!" He taunted, half-jeering and half-encounraging Mehiyal to prove him wrong.

Ayden only managed to syphon a miniscule amount of Mehiyal's essence, the fabric of his shirt blocking complete contact. It wasn't enough that the other Tale would experience a sudden lack of energy, though.
He would have continued playing had Heart not suddenly called him to say they were leaving. Brows furrowing in anger, he stubbornly stayed with Mehiyal. Even going so much as to link his arm around the other boy to defy his guardian's wishes.

What the-? Mehiyal had started to run off when Ayden linked arms with him, bringing him up short. "Umm..." He looked down where his arm was linked with Ayden's. This was new.
Part of him was saying that they should head back so that they wouldn't get in trouble. Part of him really didn't care about getting in trouble or not. The rest of him however was feeling rather woozy. He hadn't connected the fact that everytime he touched Ayden he felt drained. "Maybe we should head back..." he said softly, looking paler than usual.
