I just have to say, saying that Smoke hasn't been around and hasn't been able to RP Morion is in no way 'Bashing' her. That isn't fair. At all.

i read about 80 percent of this. and about finding news homes for children when parents are not present. it is a really hard job to do. but some times you have to do what you have to do. it is all fine and dandy that a person may talk to someone else, but if no comunication is giving to the shop owner then to me it is here say. i mean if they can take five minutes to talk to one person, then they can take five minutes to talk to a shop owner. i don't know the fae owners personaly, and this isn't anything against them. but honestly this has happened to me in my shop. i had someone leave and i had another person stuck. it sucks... it really does, because then the other person is like what the heck do i do. well finally she gave up waiting and being in limbo so she too gave up. its all chain reactions... that is the bad thing about rp. every character effects one another. i'd say try to contact them once more, and if nothings said but they do recieve it... then thats there answer. if your still worried, just put the two fae in a foster home. add a few issues about the ordeal and call it a draw. if the two owners return, they the fae and the fosters can have an rp about it. i mean honestly if i left for an ungodly ammount of time i would sure home someone would feed my rp kids... sweatdrop

For me, the biggest problem with all of this is that if we adopt them to a new guardian, it's saying 'Smoke and Unloved are never coming back.'
And that's a really sad thing to accept. x-x

Neith-Kia For me, the biggest problem with all of this is that if we adopt them to a new guardian, it's saying 'Smoke and Unloved are never coming back.' And that's a really sad thing to accept. x-x
I mean, we can't wait forever. As its been pointed out several times already, most shops gives two months, tops, before replacing your pet. It doesn't mean the shop owner is mad at you, or angry. Its just the fact that there are rules, and rules have to followed.
A while ago now, I had a feien fairy named Rakuen. RL got pretty hectic, and I ended up quitting Gaia for about a month. Well, Rik has very strong RP requirements, and I ended up nto posting a hiatus notice when I took my Gaia vacation, which was my fault. Again, it takes like seconds to get online and post something. But at the time, I didn't think I was coming back. Rakuen ended up turning into a gem and was sold to someone else, Sosi.
I came back a few weeks later. I was upset, at myself for not stopping it, but no one in the feien community was mad at me. It was just the rules. Rik and I are actually very good friends. And I even have a new feien on the way.
Again, taking Dawna and Morion away and placing them in new homes ISN'T a venegeful act. Its not giving up on the hope that they will ever come back. But Anya's been more than lentiant on her end of the bargain. When, if, Unloved and Smoke come back, which I think everyones hopes they will, they will be welcomed back with open arms.

I'm not saying it will be. It's just hard to think that there's a possiblity that they arn't coming back. Same with Eirnae, I want her to come back so badly. >_< That's two friends and a close friend missing. @_@
Besides, we'd gladly welcome them. ^_^ But they might not feel the same way? I know Sire's old guardian hasn't felt comfortable to chat in the thread since, even though he's still been on Gaia.

Didn't Sire's old guardian agree to give him up though? And I was under the impression he'd actually been on gaia and active while not playing Sire. Totally different situation. [I could be completely wrong here, so feel free to correct me if I am. ^^;;]
And while it is sad to think that they might not come back, I don't think that's reason enough to just sit around and wait longer. D: As people have pointed out with Morion, there are other fa'e tied into his plot. It isn't fair to make them wait indefinitely for Smoke to come back. It's already been said Shina's only going to a temporary guardian, so I don't see that saying at all that they expect Eirnae to come back. It's just a way of allowing the plots Shina's involved in to keep moving on. D:
Admittedly, I don't know that much about any of the situations aside from Eirnae, but I still think this is the fairest decision for everyone involved. x:

Hmm, it's a complex situation, isn't it? In all honesty, I wish that Smoke would have suggested a temp guardian for Morion when she knew she was having problems getting on (and the last few times I RPed with her, she did know she was having problems finding the time - the group RPs were mostly scheduled around the few times she could make, which we didn't mind doing). That would have been easy, fair and it wouldn't leave worries like "what will Smoke think if/when she comes back?"
Because I want Smoke to come back. As great as it is to pass fa'e on when their old owners leave it's not always the same fa'e that gets RPed - cause it is damn hard to adopt someone else's style and try to RP 'their' character. (Youko with Yin was an exception to this - I honestly felt like I was still RPing with DFA, so sometimes it does work.)
Since it's been this long, I can totally understand wanting Morion to RPed again. Especially for poor Kami/Purr who've both been a bit absent since then *hugs*
My question/worry though is what happens when/if Smoke does come back? Does Smoke get Morion back? Would Britain be okay with that? What if it's another few months, or half a year, and by that time people think Britain has a legitimate claim to keeping Morion no matter what? Would they become co-guardians? (Not that I'm saying this would ever happen or that any of it would be unreasonable! I'm just saying, what if? And does Anya have any thoughts on what would happen in those cases?)
For myself, I don't find it a worry that this happens to some fa'e *hugs Cerena* As others have said, you'd need to be absent for a few months before they'd consider passing your fa'e on. I'd hate to lose Roth, but I make sure I check in every so often or give advance warning if I'm going to be absent (like moving country). It's not a conspiracy and it's not people grasping for a free fa'e (though that has happened before but it's not the case this time).
So, to sum up, I don't mind and I think Brit will be a good RPer and everything. Just wondering if there are ideas in mind for what happens if/when Smoke returns...

I'd like to answer that one, Kalindra- it's a hard topic for me, because I tend to be very character-possessive, but if Smoke comes back I'll pprobably back away from Morion completely. I know he's hers, and the thought has, in fact, kept me up at night, but I can't co-Guardian effectively; if Smoke comes back, she'll more than likely become his full Guardian again.
This is, of course, barring any natural disasters or unforseen events O_o;;

I would say it would Britain decision. She said above that she would back away but honestly - I wouldn't believe she'd have to. Simple reason is - Smoke has had plenty of time of say something. To say what she wants to happen to not to happen to Morion, and she never did. It would have taken five minutes to come on and drop a line to Anya. Her problem isn't getting internet connection, like Eirnae. Its simply that she's got too much IRL probems right now mess with Gaia. She logs on every couple weeks, if not days. She logged on just a few days ago actually -changed her outfit, changed her sig. But still didn't contact Anya.
And thats perfectly understandable - real life should come first. BUT, she knows the consequences when Fa'e are abandoned. She saw several fa'e placed in new homes in her time here.
It was her responsibility to tell Anya what she wanted to happen to Morion. She didn't. We're not saying we're mad at Smoke for not doing it - when I quit Gaia and lost Rakuen as I stated before- no one was MAD at me - but I was expected to face the consequences of my actions. ITs the same for Smoke. She had months to say something, and she didn't. So she's lost Morion.
IF Smoke comes back, which would be wonderful, I personally think it would be rather cruel for evreyone to just expect Britain to hand over the reiens again. Brit has already told me how much she's grown attatched to him and how excited she is to work with him. Until she neglects HER duties as a guardian, it would be unfair to punish her over someone who has abandoned her fa'e twice over already.
EDIT: Time needs to be considered as well. There would be a big difference in Smoke coming back tomorrow than if she comes back three months from now.

Wow, Britain, I'm just... Very wow, cause I don't know if I could be that non-possessive ^^ If Smoke does return, at least you'll have spent quality time RPing with others and maybe one of the guardian's with fa'e aiming for kids will make Britain a guardian again. It'd be nice if you could keep a fa'e no matter how this turns out ^^
(Once again, a little wistful that Roth and Mordath can't breed... Cause that would be a smexy, smexy baby heart )
I told Kami before that I thought you were a good choice, Brit, and I think your reply has just confirmed that for everyone else too. Welcome to fa'e guardianship! whee

Okey. IF Smoke comes back I have NO guarantee form her that she will STAY. She has come back several times, and didn't stick around very much. As I said before, fa'e need to be either RPed or vanish and this wishy washy state of "possesion but no updates" needs to stop. So I would have to say that I woud like Morion to remain with Britain even in the case Smoke comes back.
*dodges the various outcries and lamentations to come*
I KNOW Britain will be on Gaia. I KNOW she will play Morion, okey, people? Now, the more you guys dicuss this, the more certain I am becoming about this decision of mine. But this is just me. I also need to ask Sosiqui's and Lenore's oppinions, since they run the thread with me and this is a joint enterprise, or at least is trying to be one real hard.

Kalindra: I'm EXTREMELY character possessive xd ;; if he'd been mine to begin with, I'd SHOOT myself before letting him go. I have to remember, htough, that someone else loved him first- he's not my dream, and I hate taking away someone else's. I'd still end up crushed if it happened, though sweatdrop
That said, now that Anya has made this decision- *hugs Anya TIGHT, breathes easier, goes back to plotting*

Anya, totally okay with whatever you decide ^^ I didn't mind either way what happened, as long as someone had thought about it so that it wouldn't dissolve into a "mine!", "no, mine!" argument if it came down to it.
So congrats, Brit ^_^ Hope that frees you up a bit with your future plots. And welcome back Morion! whee
