Mika'il took a step back as his mate was getting ruffled--angry with every passing minute. His eyes shifted slightly, not being able to look her in the eye as he flicked his tail. "Would you be angry if one of your children wanted to go and explore the world like yourself?" He hoped to ease this into the conversation easily.

Blinking back in surprise, Na'ilah sat herself down as she listened to the news. One of her children wanted to go and explore the world on their own? What was she to say to that? She couldn't say no because she doesn't control her children's lives, they are their own beings. "What? Who?"

Mika'il let out a huge breath that he didn't even know he was holding at the moment. His eyes turned back to Na'ilah and smiled. The corners of his muzzle curled up as he spoke, "Shimah. She came to me the other day with the idea of wanting to see the world. She has so much of you in her that sometimes I do see you in her when I look at her." Getting to the point, "She's asked my permission to go wander and see the world, which of course I told her she could. But, she wants to ask for your permission as well."

Shimah wanted to leave and go off on her own? When did this happen? Na'ilah looked down at the ground, does she even know her own cubs? She shook her head as she was lost in thought. Wanting permission from her? In a small voice, "Shimah wants to leave, but she's only a cub? Couldn't she wait to see the world until she's older?" It didn't make any sense, but that's life for you.

Mika'il stood up and went to sit next to his mate. This is probably hard for her, but she's independent just like most of her children. Whispering in her ear, "Shimah will always be your cub just as Siltim, Ma'isah and Xanthus Rami are. Don't forget that." He smiled before replying, "She's a lot like you, Na'ilah. You went off into the world at a young age, and Shimah's taking after you. You should see the light in her eyes when she speaks of seeing the world. There is a time where you will have to let your children go, Na'ilah."

Sighing softly, it was true and she couldn't deny her own daughter her happiness. Na'ilah leaned against Mika'il, hoping to draw in some of his strength. "I know that, I just worry so much, Mika'il!" It was true, she always worried about her cubs' safety. "When you see Shimah, tell her I'd like to talk to her. I will give her permission, but I just want to make sure she's making the right choice, Mika'il." Closing her eyes, she let the gentle breeze whisk her away.

Mika'il nodded his head slightly, "That I will do, Na'ilah." He couldn't help but smile at the calm scenery surrounding them. It was so peaceful, just like they were now. "Shimah will always be your own, and I'm sure that she'll go off to find new and exciting places, she's like that. But, she wouldn't forget about us and she'd come back to visit. I'm sure of it!" Lying down, "Come, lets take a nap."

Nodding her head slightly, Na'ilah could feel sleep try to take her over as she was getting comfortable with her mate. Lying her head on his back, "Good night Mika'il." And with that, she slowly felt sleep take over as the two of them took a nap underneath one of the many trees in the Pridelands.
