Maya nodded quietly. She wasn't sure when the moment of silence was to begin but the faery feared being stranded. "Deal," she whispered.
Of course the faery had forgotten that out in the woods she had nothing with which to do the actual cooking. All that was on her mind was that small ammount of residual panic and the situation at hand.
Oh well, her quiet little mellon thought as he watched his mistress converse with the feral male, it should prove interesting at least.

Kane nodded curtly. "Fine. You can walk quietly, I hope?" Without waiting for an answer to his question, the feral feline whirled on his heel and stalked off into the forest without a sound. The hunt was on.
Senses on high alert, he expertly filtered out anything coming from Maya, including sound and scent, and concentrated on anything else that might be in the forest with them. It wouldn't have to be another deer, though it would be nice. He'd take anything at this point; a deer, a rabbit, even a decent-sized fish if they headed for the river. Sniffing the air, he turned a bit, altering his course before continuing on into the forest, never once making a sound.
