I hate Anita period, I adore JEan-Claude and I think it's unfair how cruel she is to him in the first 3 books! I mean, all he's trying ot do is love her and she's being so mean and pushing him away with all her might! evil evil evil stressed stressed stressed stressed stressed

Oh yeah. I defintely have those 'I need to slap some sense into her!!!' moments while reading the books. And while she does piss me off with her hard-headedness about her relationships, Anita wouldn't really be Anita if she wasn't so... emotionally dysfunctional. So, while she can be really thick sometimes, I try not to get too upset about it.

I can't really point out specific instances, 'cause I havn't read most of the series in so long.'cause a certain someone still has my books!

Only during the times that she went back to Richard. She has a habit of setting herself up for the fall.

However, I find that I tend to relate her more often than not, and her logic is understandable, but definitely not infallable. I like who she is and her intentions, and I like that she has such huge flaws that people can't shrug and say, "Who cares?" because it's a flaw that slaps you in the face every time there's someone upset, or even when things seem to go fine and dandy. I believe it's important for a character to be imperfect and have some unacceptable things about them, because she feels more realistic and human that way.

She definitely is a love-or-hate character, not unlike humanity in general.

I liked Anita more when LKH was all about Vamps. With the Shifters, she's not my favorite character. Makes me wish Olaf... nvm xd

Yeah, I think Anita was definitely more badass as a cop/vampire hunter, than a were-queen.

I use to love Anita. KIlling Dance and previous, she was s trong character, someone who could be placed as a semi-role model for strong woman with out being a perfect priss. She still had faults, and I wanted to shake her, but in a I love you, you need to wise up, but I still love you way. Now she is a whore. She sleeps with everything that stands still long enough, and still isn't happy. I am currently reading Danse Mabre, and three people have called her a whore. Three, and I'm not even half way through. I really hope that's LKH saying, "I know I ******** Antia up, I'm going to back off, now she won't be a whore." If I continue reading these books, it is in the next few novels that I will decide. If she ******** up Edward, I am protesting.

I've been wanting to hit Anita ever since she started being a grade A hypocrite. She has sex with all these guys but they have to be exclusive to her. That's my big one. I haven't read Danse Macrabe yet but last I checked she was just under 10 guys that she beds on a semi regular to regular basis and all of them have to be exclusive to her. She's got a bad case of tunnel vision I think and she's stubborn as a mule to boot. I read the book more for everyone else in the series than her anymore. The only person that's possibly more ******** up is Richard.

While reading Danse Macabre I get the urge alot. Don't worry I won't include spoilers..

It's usually moments when Anita's arguing with Richard. Now I'm funny with Richard. I used to love him, started hating him and am trying to love him again. Either way, she always argues with him about her not ever wanting or being able to have a normal life and how he doesn't understand her or accept the real her blah blah blah. When it's like dude, you were the run who ran from beast Richard and started your whole "downward spiral".

And not just that but if you're going to b***h and moan about how normal you AREN't than shouldn't you shut up when it's time to choose more food for the ardeur? You're now a preternatural being. Deal with it.

I still love Edward, but I think she started down a bad road with him when she made him love Donna. I know it was necessary to bring the great drama in OB, but I still hate the fact that loving Donna weakens Edward in some way.

Anita doesn't understand Richard and why Richard doesn't want her to sleep with all those other guys. Richard's a werewolf. He has the instincts of the wolf. Wolves mate for life! And they are very territorial of their mates. Anita doesn't get that. That's what would make me want to smack her...then again there are other instances but I can't recall at this point...

*needs the rest of the books and readingthem*

Actually, I should think she understands that he wouldn't be as comfortable sharing her as many of her other men are.

Her issue with Richard has to do with his issues with himself.

thay will jut never be able to give richard what he wonts , its a sad truth

I really just want to cut her out of the series and focus on all the other characters. I think something from Asher's POV would be quite interesting.
