Just as a question, who has actually read the books?

Flames_Of_Fury Just as a question, who has actually read the books? I have read them a time or two. From a comedic perspective, it is possible that the movie will be decent.

I hope that the movie is decent, not only for the books' sakes, for the actors as well...

Wiggster I saw some of the old tv series. Does that count? Only to a small extent. Each version of the series has drastic differences from the others. And besides, the tv series didn't present much of the detail that found its way into the books nor does it include the dozens of most comical anecdotes contained in the books.

I suppose so. But tv and film are never as detailed as the books.

Wiggster I suppose so. But tv and film are never as detailed as the books. I agree. Even though I read only a few of the books, i recognized how much detail Adams, like J.R.R Toilken, put into his books.I do not think that any T.V series or film could have that much detail.

The radio series was great as well, I might add. Its one of the only radio series that almost beat the books in detail.

I have to say that I was dissapointed they didnt make the refference to the towel in the movie, so it was somewhat questionable what the towel was about to those who haven't read the book.
overall, it was awesome! 3nodding
