The cub coughed as the dust clouds surged upwards, filling her lungs. She had to keep going. Racing with the stampede, one kicked at her and she growled. The kick stung her leg as she looked through the clouds of dust. It was nausiating. With a leap she sat a shimmer of black. Oh no. Then a deep throated growl. Yup. She was dead meat. Yaten had seen her and was obviously upset. A little further she spotted a green tuft of fur and edged towards it. Siltim. Oh no, please no. Racing faster with all her might she stared ahead at the body and called to Yaten, in case he got thee before she did. "Yaten, go north. He is up ahead. " Ma'isah coughed through the smokey path and she still ran. Up ahead was a clearing.

Ma'isah's words were lost to the thunder of the stampede, but Yaten did catch a few words as the black cheetah tried to piece them together. Dashing off quickly throught he wildbeast, it took some time and effort, with a few kicks here and there, before he found the still green body. Brown eyes watched as hooves landed all around the cub before he scooped it up with his mouth and dashed out of the stampede into a clearing close by. Placing the cub on the ground, the ebony cheetah nudged the cub gently before he saw the sides go up and down with each breath. At least the cub was alive. He raised his head and bellowed, "MA'ISAH!"

Fighting her way through the stampede, she felt one of the wildbeasts kick at her stomach. It made her wince with a face of anger. Oh how she wanted to gnaw at its leg, but knew it would cause more pain and a huge amount of danger not only on her but on Yaten and her still brother. With a sigh she pounded her feet racing through the legs of the mammals. They were annoying as she heard them grunting constantly. Filthy pigs. Trailing to the clearing she tried to pass through but eachtime she got kicked harder. Finally she accepted the pain and lunged through the throng of the beasts. Her body fell on the grass, eyes closed. A moment later, they opened, the emerald absorbing the world around her. She coughed and felt her leg throb. Wow, that last kick was going to leave a bruise. "Right...here.." She ocughed looking up to see Yaten with her brother. Placing her legs to the side she kicked up and limped over to him, her head down.

Brown eyes watched the cub limp over to him. Yaten stared at the female, hard and firm. In a quiet voice, he spoke to her as it got his message across just as much as yelling at her would. "Ma'isah, I told you to stay put. Endangering your life does nothing to help me find your brother any faster than I could have without worrying about you too." His tail flicked from side to side to show his annoyance with the cub before his eyes soften, "You have to understand I was looking out for both of your safety, but of course, Siltim does something absurd. Please, listen to me next time. Just lie down and rest for now, your brother has been knocked out and should come around shortly."

Looking down she hung her head and her eyes full of a little anger. Never had she felt like she lost so much trust. "I just thought...that...if I went and helped, I could help you find him...I couldn't sit there and think that he might have.." She stopped and kept her head lowered. The thought made her shudder. If her brother had been killed, and she hadn't tried to help she would have felt guilty. Blinking she stared over to his body and limped ot it. "Yes Yaten. I'm sorry.." She felt horrible. The last thing she wanted to do was get Yaten mad at her. He was so kind and nice. He was almost like a brother to her. Supid Ma'isah. HEr eyes locked on the lifeless body but knew he was alive. It scared her to think he brinked near death.

Sitting himself down, Yaten raised his paw and brought the cub closer to him as he licked the top of her head comfortingly. "Ma'isah, if you were bigger I would have asked for your help...but you are still just a cub and very small compared to those wildbeasts. Did you see how much bigger they were compared to you? If one of them had any intentions of killing you, it could have just stepped on you." He paused to glance at Siltim before he shook his head. That one was a handful, that's for sure. It's no wonder his mother was so overprotective of the little cub, he was looking for trouble. His attention was turned back to Ma'isah, "I accept your apology. Now lie down and rest!"

Nodding at Yaten's comment, she lay on the soft grass near him. She hwas in a bit of pain as she looked to her brother, oh how she was going to kill him when he woke up. Nuzzling her head on Yaten's leg she closed her eyes and drifted off in a half-asleep state. Her mind thrummed, but she could her the noises around her. Ma'isah was alert for any danger. It made her a bit jumpy. That is one thing that really bother the cub, she couldn't have a good sleep. It rarely occured. With a yawn, she heard a distant rustling. Her head popped up to examine the area.

((Here's your sig that I made you: http://tinyurl.com/o9bmv ))

Yaten gazed down at Ma'isah while she relaxed close by. Brown eyes looked to Siltim as he noticed a flicking of his paw. Ah, the little bugger was coming around after all! Turning to look at Ma'isah, it seems she has heard something and he blinked.

Blackness was slowly fading to the brightness of the day before Siltim jumped up onto his feet with the buzz of adrenaline. Lime green eyes gazed at his sister then Yaten then his sister and then Yaten once again. Oh, Yaten didn't look to happy at the moment. "Hi!"

The young cub's eyes widened as she saw Siltim. Her smile faded. She was not about to yell at him like their mother would. That would annoy him or anger him. She did not want that to happen. Instead she let Yaten do all the venting, the grin on her face stung in a bitter sweet way. "Hello ole' chap. Nice to see your alive." That is all that Ma'isah would muster. Her eyes contemplating on whether to leave Yaten and him to tlak or stay. Oh she wanted to hear, so she stayed. Her head rose looking around as she glanced to Yaten. What did Mama and Papa thougt Siltim and she were doing during the day? Did she really think they were behaving. Hah, that was a laugh. Especially if that means nearly getting killed.

Brown eyes turned and landed on Siltim. Oh, the little green monster was awake once more. The cheetah got up and brought his paw down on Siltim's body, pinning him to the ground. Yaten lowered his head so that he as closer to Siltim's ear. In a lower voice, "Siltim, you are to listen to me and not go off to do whatever you want to do. You could have been killed, do you realize that!" He loosen his grip on the cub, but still kept him on the ground. Siltim needed to get all of his words into his head, "Your sister even went into the stampede, after I told her not to, risking her life to find you! I know you like adventure. I know you like fun, but you have to realize that you are just a cub at the moment. You can do all the dangerous things once you are older and able to protect yourself. What would had happen if we weren't here to get you? You could had been trampled to death and no one would have known it!" The cheetah gazed at the green cub underneath his paw, "Siltim, I am disappointed in you and I hope you should listen to me next time. I am trying to keep you and your sister safe, don't go making my job any harder than it already is!"

Just as Siltim heard his sister, something pinned him to the ground. Squirming and wiggling every way, the green cub wanted out! Oh, but Yaten's voice didn't sound all that happy. It kind of reminded him of their mother's voice when she was angry with him, which was most of the time. Stopping his movements, he realized it was useless since Yaten wasn't going to let him go. He listened and sighed softly before whinning, "I wanted to have some fun! How many cubs can say that they've got to run with a stampede!" He huffed and puffed, still not letting his pride get hurt any more than it was by Yaten's words, "I wouldn't have been killed..." His voice trailed off quietly as he laid there.

Emerald eyes fell on her brother as she sat on the ground motionless. Just listening. Yaten did sound like her mother, she knew that must be bothering her brother. Shaking her head she felt a little bad on that side. Ma'isah knew how her mother got sometimes, a bit too protective of her son. That is when Ma'isah decided to protect her siblings as much as she could to keep her mother from annoying her brother. Though, Ma'isah did it in a more quiet and sneaky way. Always at his side and making jokes. The postition she was at for being oldest often made her a bit envious to be younger, but she pushed that from her mind thinking about the freedom she had. If you call freedom watching over Siltim and the others. Speaking of that, she thought of Shimah and Rami. They never really went on the adventures with her, Yaten, and Siltim. That made her wonder why. Shrugging she listened and her eyes widend. She wanted to yell but held it in.

Shaking his head, Yaten sighed as he took his paw off of Siltim and sat down. The ebony cheetah gazed at the rebellious cub before him. The spirit he had was something the cheetah admired, though at times he was a bit reckless. Like just now. "Siltim, come here."

As the weight of the paw, Siltim quickly bolted up and gazed at anything but his two companions. He was feeling a bit guilty, but at the same, his pride was hurt. Guys and their pride. Thinking about anything but the current situation, the corners of his mouth slowly curved into a smile as he remembered running with the wildbeasts. It was so much fun and he'll definitely want to do it in the future! That's for sure, he made a promise to himself. As he was beckoned by Yaten, he stood there before taking a few steps towards the cheetah and in a quiet voice, "Yes Yaten...?"

One look to the two she sighed and rested her head on the gorund. Great, ruin the fun. Her lips curled to a grin as she watched around the savannah. There a few feet away was a bird. She blinked and wanted to go, but thought the situation was bad enough. She did not want to cause more problems. The thrill of pouncing had often made her a bit over board? Resting her head in the grass, her emerald eyes stuck out fromt he deep color they were.

Flicking her ebony tipped tail, her head tilted to the side as she gazed through the grasslands. She hoped Yaten wouldn't get Siltim a bit too annoyed or angry. With a sigh she waited patiently. The bruise on her side was showing a light ellow and black. Though it wasn't too bad with her fur being of green, gold and her tail black.

As the cub came over to him, Yaten raised his paw and brought Siltim to his body. Lowering his head, he nibbled on Siltim's ear playfully, "Hmm, doesn't this ear just taste good!" A brown eye shifted towards Ma'isah and spotted her not too far off.

His ear was getting attacked as Siltim squirmed and pawed at the black cheetah, "Yaten! My ear is not tasty!" He huffed slightly as he pawed at the cheetah's muzzle and let out a tiny squeal.

Her gaze locked on the two. A sly grin reached her lips as she blinked a few times. Of course, back to the fun and games, eh? Sitting up she walked over and crouched. Good thin for tall green grass. Ma'isah blended perfectly. Crouching through the grass she reached the two and sat for a moment leaving silence, hoping they did not see her and her sneaky ways. Lunging from the grass, her paws smacked around the two of them as she fell with a 'umph'. They made a perfect base landing. "Hehehe. You can't eat my brother."
