Nathaniel made his way into the cave, dripping with the rainwater of the storm outside. He attempted to shake some of it off before he got to far into the cave. The surroundings looked to him like they had been used for shelter once before. His eyes scanned the area. His ears perked up when Saissis spoke to him, looking over he saw her and her small companion.
"I'm not quite hungry anymore, but I am grateful the offer, " he said to her, his eyes glacing around, "I forgot to ask, how is the leg?"
He had forgotten about it to this point, but had noticed her hobble a bit into the cave. He felt a little stupid for not asking sooner, but he had other things on his mind.
"It seems to be a bit sore still for you, so you shouldn't stay upon it too terribly long till it heals a bit more," he said to her as he laid himself down, staring out towards the rain as it poured in front of the cave. The condensation from the rain made it's way into the entrance a bit, drops could be heard coming from the ceiling above the entrance.

Istas sat quite chipper with her bottom firmly placed in the bedding. Her little paws grabbed and apple and rolled it towards Saissis's feet.
"Whoo one up and here we gooooooooo." she chittered as the apple hit the flutter's hooves then tossed another to Nathaniel, "Keep it for later. Oh and I can get anything you desire so please don't be afraid to ask okay?"
The raccon nested herself in the large bed where her and the mare rested some days. She perked her ears at the word "injury" skittering over toward Saissis. First she stood on tiptoes to check her belly then noticed the swelled leg. She made a "tch tch" sound then looked disapprovingly at the larger equine above her.
"I see now... come lie down and I'll see what I can do. Hurry up now. No making it worse standing on it." she instructed with a chittering in her voice as she lead the mare over to the nettles.
Saissis sighed following Istas like a little puppy. Istas was like a nursemaid with demands and actions considering the little flutter's welfare. She lied herself down so Istas could examine her leg more closely.
"Its a bit sore but better than the day before Nathaniel. I still do thank you for putting up with my stubborness. Truth be told I dislike pain very much." she nodded waiting for Istas as she dug in her little cloth full of things.

Nathaniel sat and stared out at the storm. His mind seemed to be occupied at the present time, though he was still responsive.
"Who does like pain?" he asked to Saissis, "I can't honestly think of anyone I know of who likes pain, so it's perfectly understandable. There are just some pains more unpleasant than others."
The stallion looked down at the apple that had been rolled his way, he didn't really know what to do with it or where to put it at present time so he left it lay for a bit.
"It's funny about the rain. It can soothe as well as it can disturb. Rain has the ability to bring up memories both pleasant and unpleasant. Maybe there's more to rain that simply being a weather pattern brought by clouds. But I do not have these types of answers."

As the storm picked up to full intensity the sky created a dazzling light show in contrast of flashing lightning. The rumbling of the heavens with the wind's fury seemed all to unreal as if it were orchestrated by someone unseen.
Istas finally coaxed the mare to settle examining her leg which was indeed swelled from the weight Saissis had placed upon it. The white raccon with purple markings made her "Tch Tch" noice again cocking her head at the little blue mare.
"Well we need to bring this swelling down so hold still for a bit." she muttered scrounching through her little homemade carrying bag of animal hide she found discarded. A chittering in her little throat made her seem quite occupied as she dug through things.
"Ah ha here we go.." she mused as a strange container of stuff was open creating a horrible aroma. "Heh.. I know this smells bad but Ive seen the humans use this on their injured Soquili before. So hang tight... just a little here and there... done." she commented rubbing the strange concoction on the mare's leg. Turning around she grabbed some string and a few leaves which she bound on the wound making it nice a secure.
Saissis watched her furry companion do her magick with an approving smile. Istas was the practical one always concerned more for Saissis than herself.
She turned to look at the winged named Nathaniel with a soft smile. "You can join us you know. I made sure these nettles were the softer kind so they keep us warm in the late hours. Ah if you're desiring a drink head south down the cave. Grasses and a nice underground water pool lie there." she motioned South while trying not to move her leg and undo Istas handy work.

Nathaniel nodded a bit, still staring out at the rain.
"I'll be fine for the moment, " he stated. He seemed calm for the moment, as if in a temporary state of ease. He settled a bit as he watched the torm blowing through.
"Such destructive, yet healing ways are the forces of nature," he said while calmly staring out.

The rain drummed the ground endlessly causing her eyes to lower slowly till the flutter was dozing quite heavily under the watchful eye of her familiar.
She dreamed of the future as her life traveled on walking side by side with Nathaniel. Her belly full and teaming with secrets that only she held deep in her breast. So happy she was standing gracefully at his side. To what the future held no one knew but her perspectives were bright and full of excitement. Casually she flit her little wings with a nuzzle to her handsome stallion. "I love you Nathaniel" she cooed softly looking into those chocolate orbs of his. And he replied in his deep yet soothing voice, "I love you as well Saissis. Stay with me always as I you."
Istas stirred from her own sleep checking on the mare and her securely wrapped leg.
Saissis continued to sleep on in her beautiful dreams unaware she was still lying in the soft nettles with her injured leg.

Nathaniel sat, staring out at the rain. The sound of it began to soothe him. He looked back to notice Saissis had fallen asleep. It was nearly quiet in the cave, except the minor stirring sounds of Saissis in her sleep and her companion. The stallion's mind drifted tot he idea of sleep as well, but he didn't feel no need to sleep[ at present time. His mind was filled with thoughts and ideas, never quite knowing what to think of next. Not that his midn could help it as it seemed to wander it's own little way.

What seemed a lifetime past the little mare reopened her eyes to the constant rainfall still. She yawned with a soft nicker stretching herself before she realized where she was and why they were there.
"Nathaniel?" she paused looking around in a remaining sleepstate still dreamwise yet back in reality. Her face frowned as she remembered she'd just met him but a day's gallop ago. Her dreams were simple annoyances to what she wanted in her life so badly.
Istas yawned perking her ears to Saissis wakng up. "Tch Tch. Don't you move a muscle or you'll never heal." she warned as she stood in her own streching with a flick of her purple and blue busy tail.
"Alright then I'll fetch water and grass from the cave. You just lie there and rest." she motioned as she grabbed a strange wooden container and raced off down into the heart of the cave.

What seemed like such a short bit of time, the storm came and went. What was night turned to day. Nathaniel openned his eyes, he hadn't realized he dozed off. It was so simple to have fallen asleep for some reason. His mind felt at ease for the time being. He squinted as the sun shined brightly in his eyes.
"What will this new day bring?" he asked himself.

Day shown her wings in the depth of darkness where the party resided. Curled in a ball the raccoon known as Istas was sleeping as was the little blue mare that was still resting. Saissis stirred once more haunted by her dream when the rain poured like buckets relentlessly amongst the land. Fluttering her wings she jilted herself to stand even though she had her leaf wrapping.
Istas stretched looking around to catch a glimpse of the mare's movement. She chittered excitedly going to Saissis' side her paws checking the leaves. "Tch Tch... what are you doing?! Rest. You need rest to heal Saissis." she scolded making sure the wrapping was intact.
Saissis sighed and flicked her tail as it shimmered in the sun's warm gaze and embrace.
"I'm fine Istas. I'm going for a small flight to stretch my wings. They are sore and stiff from me resting so long." she nodded walking in a half limp toward the outside that shined with the glistening remnants of the rain that hung in rows amongst the damn foilage.

Nathaniel stood in front of the openning to the cave. He was now faced inward towards Saissis and her companion.
"You really should listen to your friend. You're not currently in any shape to go anywhere."
He stared back outside once again.
"Sure the storm may have passed but your injury has not, and right now that is what is important. So you must give it a bit of time to heal yet."

She looked cross for a moment feeling two souls against her it seemed. Flitting her wings she stretched.
"Yes but lying here isn't helping the stiffness welling up in my legs either." she sighed with a flick of her long multicolored tail. Her eyes shimmered as she watched him thinking about her dream that found comfort in her time of first healing.
"Are you leaving now that the rain has ceased?" she queried with a slight sadness to her voice. Frowing she lied back down in the nettles with a silent snort lying her head on the ground as a river of blues and purples flowed around her.

Nathaniel raised his head again.
"Any amount of stiffness now is gonna be worse if you try to move when you are still injured. Don't be so stubborn about it and just let it heal."
A cool wind passed the entrance of the cave. As it passed by Nathaniel's mane flickered in the breeze. He sat there silently for a bit.
" I don't know yet, sure, the storm has passed, but I have no answer for you yet."

Her contemplation ate at her wondering what his decision would be. She rather liked having him around though his reponses could of been a little more cordinated.
The storm has passed and the sun will shine. How I miss flying through the rain dropllets and the rainbow that bends over the land."
Istas ran back and forth considering her injured party. Always bringing grees, apples, and crude containers of water. She skitter here and there watching over the little mare always doing what she could to ease Saiisis discomfort.
