Standing in the morgue, Kyana stood over the body of the last victim. A 'Y' shaped cut had been stitched up crudely where she had taken a look at the victims wounds.
"Find anything new kiddo?" a voice called from the door.
"Well, this person died just like the others. Which is good...I think. The blade used this time is same as the last one. Which you know was different from the first 2," Kyana said with too much hype.
"So basically they died from loss of blood."
"Yep. But this time the cut was slightly different in fashion. Take a look."
Moving slightly out of the way, the red head walked over to the table of the sixth victim. Looking down at the slit throat, all he saw was a red mess of flesh and browning blood.
"Unlike the others, her throat was slit as though the perp was standing behind her," walking over to the drawers of people, she pulled out the first victim, "see how in this one the cut goes down instead of staying straight."
Sure enough, there was a slight downward tilt at the end of cut, "Hmm, so now our perp has definately changed killing styles. This will not make Bryan happy. Nice work Kya."
"Thanks! Oh by the way, just be careful as you walk out the side door, I brought in a new chair," Kyana said as she stroked her wolf's ears. He gave a large wolfy grin before returning to the underside of the table.

Meilin finished shooting up the gallery as she heard Kai and Katia return. She decided she felt like bugging him more than returning to her overly hyperactive partner, so she waved at Katia as she passed and entered Kai's office. "Heya, Hiwatari-chan. What's shakin?"

Meilin1 Meilin finished shooting up the gallery as she heard Kai and Katia return. She decided she felt like bugging him more than returning to her overly hyperactive partner, so she waved at Katia as she passed and entered Kai's office. "Heya, Hiwatari-chan. What's shakin?" The voice of a female who was not Katia instantly put Kai on his guard. He still wasn't used to all the new additions to what had once been an elite group of four. Furthermore, this girl somehow annoyed him. She was... too happy around him. "Meilin," he said perfunctorily, turning from his computer with a slightly irritable look. Dranzer wouldn’t show herself now. She hated being in the presence of daemons she did not trust, even more than Kai hated being around their human counterparts. “Didn’t I tell you before not to call me that.” He grunted and clicked the unit shut, carefully putting away his notes. He folded a corner carefully in the secret system the original four had once used. Tala would most likely snoop around his desk for it, and the folding would help the wolf out somehow. “But since you’re here,” he continued, straightening and folding his arms across his chest, “What do you want?” ~*~*~*~ Katia barely paid heed to the younger girl as she passed. Meilin, if she recalled the name right. And Kai had wanted her to go shooting with the girl. It would have been a waste of time. Her shooting was her pride and glory. To waste it in a show for a mere child (in her opinion) who wanted nothing more than to get on the emerald-eyed woman’s good side to learn a few tricks. The vixen smirked softly to herself. She was getting bored, and boredom made her less tolerant that usual. “Is it really that dull, my darling?” came the seductive, masculine voice of her daemon. Katia looked down at Vinixer’s blood-red eyes. She noted that one tail was swaying in the air, and the shadow of a second one was starting to form. She needed to check her annoyance; that was what it meant. “I’m looking for the lazy black-haired human. The one who seems more acceptable than the other newcomers.” “The one with the two-color-eyed wolf daemon?” “I suppose so,” Katia replied, stroking Vinixer’s ears. They were velvety and silky at the same time, something she loved – one of the few things – dearly. The dark-haired woman sighed and tossed her dead cigarette butt into a trashcan in passing. She suddenly noticed the light coming from the stairs leading to the morgue. Two familiar voices filled her ears. “Hn. Looks like that old wolf and his pet of a partner have found something.”

"You told me not to call you Kai-chan." she corrected. "Or should I take a hint from Max and call you Mr. Sourpuss?" she asked. She was finnally content with her teasing and started to become serious. "I came because I wanted to know if you or your egotistical partner had found anything else for Max and I to deal with in florensics."

Speak of the devil, the blond officer was picking up the latest from the office, which at the moment was nothing. 'Guess Mei won't get any information after all.'

hioni14 Serinity sighed and walked off with her deamon, Tekonu, leading her, she new people here didn't seem to care for trianees, tekonu stoped and pointed after walking down several halls for a while. "is that him?" serinity looked up, "yeah, that looks like him." she watched with an amused look on her face, he was the one that always avoided her, like everyone else. "Looks like Kana is annoying him" Tekonu said amused. serinity looked at him "Kana...?" Tekonu smiled and nodded "yes Kana, thats his deamon" blinking he added, "of course you wouldn't know that lets go see who all he needs to find. probably everyone," serinity and her deamon aproached Takiran, "hello." she said quietly, "Bryan sent me to help you find the others."
Taki jumped slightly and looked over his shoulder. Kana turned around and walked back, head down and snarling. She wrapped herself around Taki's legs and continued to growl at the newcomer and her daemon.
Taki's eyes flicked around, looking for signs of anyone else.
"Um..hello? Bryan sent you, huh?"
He turned his head back to face the front and grimaced. Sounds like him
He turned fully around to face the girl, Kana steal wrapped around his legs. SHe has quietened down but still watched the other two warily. Taki gave the girl a half smile.
"Well, I'm just looking for the other partners. You can help but don't get in my way."
He turned back around and started walking. Kana gave them one last look before turning to walk next to her other half.
Taki frowned. He didn't mean to sound like an arsehole to anyone but that was the only way he could deal with anyone he didn't know very well. He passed through a door hoping that Serinity was following him but not turning to check.

Johnny sighed and walked into his bathroom, still not turning on the lights. He preferred only using the streetlights outside his house as his lights. It helped him to hone his night vision down to near perfection. It also aided him in saving on his electricity bill.
He earned a less than impressive wage anyway, he needed to save all he could. He didn't want to live the way he did forever.
Johnny dreamed of more.
The redhead unzipped his jacket, and shrugged it off, letting it fall on to the ground messily. He pulled off his shirt and threw it on top of his jacket, shivering as the cool air of the night hit his stomach.
Johnny looked down at the small tattoo he had permitted himself to get six months ago. It had been a celebration. The start of his transformation. Johnny smiled as he looked at it, running his fingers gently over the now smooth skin.
It represented what he would be when this was done.
Johnny unbuckled his jeans and stepped out of them, walking over to the shower and turning on the water. He left his hand underneath the stream, testing it and playing with the taps until the water was the right temperature.
Johnny pulled off his socks and underwear, stepping into the scalding hot water. His body flinched reflexively but Johnny forced it to stay still, allowing the water to burn him to the extent he didn't feel it anymore.
Salamalyon ran up the glass of the shower, balancing precariously on the thin top edge of the glass surrounding the cubicle. She sighed as she watched the water spray out of the shower nozzle, allowing herself some time to think about nothing.
That time was rare for both her and Johnny.
Johnny ran a hand through his wet hair and sighed, imitating his daemon and watching the water dully, seeing it's presence as the proof that he was nowhere close to achieving what he needed.
How many more people need to die for me? he wondered uneasily, gently stroking his tattoo and closing his eyes, feeling the hateful water running over his body.
Salamalyon, sensing his unease, slowly walked down the shower wall and on to Johnny's shoulder. She pressed herself against the Scotsman's neck, giving what little comfort she could.
She looked at Johnny's face, eyes full of love and guilt. It was her fault that he was so unhappy. No one else's. It was her fault that Johnny couldn't live with himself. She had known that since Johnny had become obsessed with his transformation.
She had known that even before.

Rose continued her training, even after Rei had left. She told him that she needed a bit of time to think and Rei, knowing what would happpen if he didn't, had left immediatly, only stopping to tell Rose that he'd be back when they had a job.
As rose continued her assult on the now fraying sand bag, she felt a familiar and soothing presence appear.
"You should take a break. it doesn't matter how stressed you are, you're gonna run yourself down too much." said a large black figure. The panther was drapped over one of the training mechanisms, watching her intently.
Rose frowned. "I don't want to. And i'm not stressed."
"Yes you are. Don't lie to yourself. Do you realy think that you could hide anything from me? Now take a break."
Rose sighed and stopped her assult. "Very well, Shadow. You win"
She moved over to the black panther and stroked his head before sitting in the middle of the floor, letting Shadow curl up around her.
"So," shadow looked into the blonde woman's eyes, "let's talk."

serinity lowerd her head, her feeling where slightly hurt. it was hard to fit in around here. she sighed and followed Taki. tekonu walked beside her in silence, lifting puting a gloved hand on her shoulder, he tried to ease her thoughts. serrinity looked up while walking and looked at her deamon, he almost looked like a human, other than his black, wolfish ears and cat like tail that was also black, she wonderd what it was like to be a deamon. She kept quiet and followed Taki.

Johnny sighed and reached up to his shoulder, feeling Salamalyon comforting presence. She had always been there for him. She always would be.
~Le Flashback~
Johnny laughed as he ducked a flying snowball. "Muuuuuum!" He called, looking over at her face, so similar to his own. "Stop it!"
"Stop what?" She asked mischievously, balling up another missile. "You mean this?" She threw another ball at her son, laughing loudly as he attempted to jump over it and tripped over his own baggy clothing.
"Are you ok, sweetie?" She asked, walking over to the non-moving Johnny. "Johnny?" She asked again, a hint of apprehension in her voice.
"SURPRISE ATTACK!" Johnny yelled, launching himself out of the stow to collide with his mother's waist, sending them both falling into the snow and soaking both of their clothes through.
Johnny's laughter mingled with his mothers as they playfully wrestled, their daemons doing the same in the sky, Johnny's Salamalyon imitating his mother's dove-formed daemon.
Johnny's mother rolled over, panting, allowing her son to straddle her stomach. "GOTCHA!" Johnny yelled happily, looking down at his mother's smiling face.
"Got me." She agreed, nodding seriously, her dark hair matted from their play.
Johnny pouted. "Muuuuum!" He whined. "It's no fun when you give up like that!"
She shrugged, sighing happily as her daemon left Salamalyon to land on the top section of her fanned out hair, the dove resting it's head on top of Johnny's mother's. "But you beat me." She told Johnny, matter-of-factly.
She sat up suddenly, making Johnny squeal in sudden fear and delight as he slid into her lap. She wrapped him in a bear hug, kissing the top of his head fondly. "I'll get you next time." She promised with a smile, pulling back and ruffling his hair with her free hand.
Johnny grinned and wriggled free of his mother's arms, falling face first into the snow.
Salamalyon changed into a small dog and nuzzled Johnny's face, making the redhead squeal again and wrap his arms around his daemon's neck, feeling happy and secure.
He was four.

He looked down at the wolf who was walking in front of him. Oh really? and how do you figure that?You could have said something nice to the poor girl.Taki rolled his eyes. I wasn't the one snarling at her...
And? i can't lie about my weariness or how your feeling. That's your job.
Great no pressure here.Taki looked over his shoulder at the girl following him and her daemon. He sighed and turned back. "So," he said, trying to make small talk, "Having fun here at the department?"

serinity looked up startled out of her thoughts, "oh!- umm... i guss you could say that i am, it's definatly better than being at home. i like the people here, but no one seems to like newcomers very much." she paused for a bit, "did something hapen with one of the traines that earnd everyones mistrust?" Tekonu said quietly with sarcasm in the back of her mind, mabey somes deamon ate anothers. serinity glared at him from under her bangs, he quickly added, ...or mabey someone got shot, thanks for the look i'll put it in the album. she almost laughed out loud but kept quiet and waited for Taki's reply, still folowing him.

Lainy Wolf ((woo...different colours...and yellow is hard to read. hmm..seems everyones in partners..that such a cool idea xd *steals*)) Bryan flicked his eyes up to look at the girl in fornt of him. "Papercuts? I wouldn't get papercuts," he said before looking down again and flicking the paper he was reading to the side. "Ow.." he looked down at his finger and hissed. Papercut. "Ok, maybe i do but i'm fine with these," he assured her. He blinked for a moment realising he had no idea who he was talking to. He mulled over it for a while. "Hm, you must be the trainee here," he said, half to himself before smirking. "I've got a great job for you," he said and stood up, "i just sent takiran off to find everyone, i'm sure he'd love company," Knowing very well that he didn't like stranger much and avoided any new trainees or people for a while. He pushed the girl towards the way taki had went and pointed. "He went that way, have fun finding him," he said blankly before turning in the opposite direction and alking away. "I've got a few things to look for." The flap of his damon's wings followed him. (~) Taki whistled, oblivious to what his partner was up to on the other side of the department. "Do you have any idea where you're going?" A silky voice said out of nowhere. Taki jumped and looked down at the blue and yellow eyed wolf looking up at him. "Don't sneak up on me like that!" The wolf tilted her head to the side. "Sneak up? Um, i'm always here y'know - how can i sneak up on you?" Taki raised an eyebrow. "Well, i forgot you were there, you were all quiet and stuff." "Very intelligent answer dear. You're a genius i swear," the daemon said blankly. Taki narrowed his eyes. "I really hate you sometimes, Kana." "No you don't." "True because it's impossible for me to hate myself," He concluded. The wolf rolled her eyes. "Vain," she mumbled. Taki snapped his head down to mock glare at Kana. "Hey? What was that? Want to say it to my face?" he challenged. The wolf shook her head before walking past Taki, hitting his leg with body on the way, and started singing. " You're so vain,
You probably think this song is about you..." Taki stared at her blankly. "Ha ha, very funny. Stop singing for a moment and help me find the other partners." She chuckled and looked over her shoulder. "Who's here?" "Katia and Kai are out so it's just Meilin and max, Rose and Rei and Tala and Kyana. He sent me out as the gopher," Taki stated, the last part rather sulkily. Kana turned back to facing the front and grinned. "I like your partner, he's a good man." Taki rolled his eyes. "Of course you would," he mumbled. "Oi Bryan, we have found something different between the recent and the original murders. Not sure if it would narrow it down, but we...I mean Kyana found different marks from the blade used," Tala said as he leaned against a wall. Sita crouched beside him and flicked her grey tail nervously. Her mesmerizing purple wolf eyes looked out at the man behind the desk.

Rei walked back into the training area; after hearing that his partner was still in there, he decided that it would be a good idea to find out why.
"Rose?" he said, looking around the punching bags for the blonde. Seeing no one, he looked around the rest of the room, finnaly finding her sitting in the corner, seemingly stroking something.
"Hey Rose, y'all right?" Rei walked over and sat down next to the susspectedly irritable woman.
Rose looked at the man next to her, semi annoyed at him for chasing shadow off. "Yeah... I'm fine"
The nekojin smiled before becoming slightly more serious."Good. It looks like Taki and a new recruit are looking around for the teams. Us included."
"What for?... You think that they have an dea of who this ace killer dude is?"
"I dunno. But whatever it is, we'd best save Taki some trouble, you know how he gets."
Rose laughed."Yeah... well then i think we should start worrying about the new recuit.... you know they'll cop the bulk of it."
Rei nodded in agreement. "So let's go then." The nekojin stood up and offered a hand to his partner. After she was up, the both headed out of the training center.

Bryan looked up at the red head. "Anything would help at the moment, Tala. What did you find?" He asked.

Taki continued to walk for a moment before replying. "Not that i know of and i've been here for a while."
He looked over his shoulder. "You'll have to forgive the others, they're really quite busy with this case at the moment. I think it's ticking us all of that we're not getting anywhere. They're really nice when you get to know them."
He slowed down a bit so he was almost walking beside her but still leading. "And i'm sorry if i'm stand offish but I can't give you any excuse though, i am who i am and i really don't like people i don't know yet. I'm more reserved and that. Different people put me on edge."
"You could say he's shy in an arrogant way," Kana explained quietly in one of her very rare moments where she spoke to someone other than Taki. It wasn't usual but when she felt ther was something to say that Taki wouldn't she'd make her opinion known.
Taki fixed the wolf with a look but she said nothing else. He rolled dual coloured eyes and looked where he was going. He smirked as he caught sight of two of the people he was looking for.
"Oi!"
