i made mine for my friend out of insulation foam. you can get it at lowes or anyother hardware stores, its also the same stuff i used to make my sango boomerang. but i might warn you, that stuff is really hard to cut and work with when it comes to stuff like keyblades, mine came out really good, ( which was debuted at Anime expo 2006, my friend cosplayed as femmy sora, please let me know if you know what i am talking about) but when i tried to use it for yunas staff, it got all messed up, so i am planning on using wood for that instead. i inserted pencils in the foam to keep it from being floppy , and it makes it straight

I made mine out of wood, and it's teh byootiful. I cut the main pieces out of plywood, and screwed the keyhead into the dowel, and the other two I glued with wood glue. paint it, and it becomes quite lovely. (I'm the one being owned so hardcore in this pic)
