My favorite character is Nathaniel. Part of the reason I like him is because he is a wereleopard. I heart the wereleopards! I also like him because of his personality. It's really hard for me to describe why I like characters... I just do! xd

Well, I'd have to say Anita's my favorite, probably just because its so easy for me to relate to her, but JC is a REALLY close second, jest because... he's Jean-Claude! Does he really need any other reasons?
Richard irritates me, Nathaniel's adorable, Jason's cute, but those two are my fav's. blaugh

Anita is my favorite, because she is just so cool. She kicks some serious bootie. xd And... Edward is in second place, because that guy kicks some serious bootie, too. And Jean Claude is third. Because he's hott. 3nodding

My favorite character is Edward. I'm dying to find out more about his past and who he really is. The suspense is killing me!
Anita is a close second as far as I'm concerned, because...well, because she's Anita, and she's quite the kick-a** survivor.
And I really enjoy reading about all the characters in the pard (excluding Micah stare ), because they're all so loving and open, and tolerant of Anita's many quirks.

Why not Micah? I'm still not too sure on how I feel about him. He seems to be hiding something though I'm not sure what.

That's one of the reasons I don't like him--he seems to have ulterior motives, and he doesn't seem as unconditionally loving and accepting as Anita believes, don't you think? I get the feeling he may do something to hurt her in the future (emotionally), whether he means to or not. Bah! Doesn't Anita have enough problems already? sweatdrop Besides, he's so "cute" that even by LKH's standards, the descriptions have gone into overdrive. Or maybe it just seems that way to me...

I like Edward. He's rather fun to read. He knows a lot about guns, killing, and such. Also, he seems to be one of the few people who accepts and respects Anita for being Anita, and just that. He doesn't have a fancy title for her, to him, she's just her. And he doesn't care. Also, he's really cool.

I agree about Micah. Something about him just makes my teeth go on edge. I just know he is hiding something else. I mean he was hiding a really big secret to begin with, so I just don't know how I feel about her having such a deep connection with him. I really just don't trust him.
But I do love Edward. I really wish he was around more.

Anita has enough problems for herself and Ronnie and every other female character in the series. And that's just in relationships. Poor, poor girl. I get what you mean about Micah. His personality as well as his appearance bothers me. He's probably so accepting of all Anita's little extras because it makes him feel less guilty about the damage he's about to cause. xp

I don't really have one favorite character. I obviously like Anita; her wit and sarcasm are just so amusing, and she really stands up for the people she cares about. I like how she stands up to Richard when it comes to choosing to protect the pard.
The pard as a group is just a great set of characters. They start off as all these sad, broken, little kittens, and learn how to be self sufficient. I especially like how Nathaniel has gone from being a complete and utter submissive to having an actual personality and will of his own. Not really a fan of Micah, though. Like everyone else said, there's just something not entirely right with the situation.
I used to like Richard, but Narcissus in Chains was the final nail in that coffin. He really needs to get over it already. sylvie, Shang-Da, and Jamill are all pretty interesting characters, but Jason's my favorite wolf. It's probably his sense of humor mostly, but he's just such a great character.
Jena Claude, Asher, and Damian are my faves among the vampires. They all have such great personalities, and I love the way Laurell K. Hamilton always describes Jean Claude's laugh. Asher has his moments where he kind of just needs to get over it, though. xp
And last but not least, edward. He is hands down a wonderful character, sociopath or not. The interaction between him and Anita is great, and he always treats her as an equal. Plus he's actually a fairly complicated guy, which is probably why I enjoyed Obsidian Butterfly.

And Anita has enough problems for the females and the males if you ask me! xp

I have to go with Edward because there isn't a single scene with Edward that isn't fun. He started off as a sort of flat, mysterious character but he's grown into a very interesting individual...I'd love to see another Edward-heavy book like Obsideon Butterfly.

My favorite is Edward. Why? Well, he's a cold, calculated, murdering b*****d who has a chameleon like ability and an arsenal of weapons. That and to me, he always had more personality in the books even when he didn't have any personality (I know it doesn't make sense.) He just has an aura of cool around him.

Does anyone remember Edward's friend Harley? He was in the Killing Dance and I remember he was on the weird (and probably insane) side and viewed the world in a way others didn't. I don't want to give away more just in case some haven't read but he just popped in my mind tonight. I think I would've liked to seen more of him.
