He took a very deep breath. "And...and when is the baby due?" Dameon never thought anything like THIS would happen, it all seemed a bit...soon. Just a few weeks ago, he had been talking to her mother about just toying with the idea of kids and now...they WERE having kids.

"Soon. Really soon, they have been kicking my insides for weeks now.." she said, taking a deep breath and sitting down on a tree stump. The weight of the children in her stomach making her back hurt

A strange thought came to mind, making him even more jittery then he already was. "You...You keep saying 'they' starry. Are you saying there's more then one baby?"

"I... I think so... Normally one child isn't this large so quickly." She said, rubbing her sides gently trying to get one of the children to start movng.

Starry sighed and stood up. She walked over to where Dameon was laying and bent down to fan his face. "Dameon, you need to wake up... I can't do this all on my own."

Slowly, he opened his steel blue eyes again. "this...is to much like a dream. I mean...I don't know anything about being a parent. I need...I need." sweatdrop "Where's Raken when you need him?"

"Don't tell me that... I have to carry the little monsters." She sighed, at least they were on the same page about this. "We should go find him, he knows more about this kind of thing than either of us do.." she said, "On the other hand, I think most of the parenting bit is just instinct. We could wing it and see how it comes out..."

sweatdrop "Instinct? I think Tristen once tried to feed me one of this peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches that he loves so dearly. I was a toddler." He shook his head at the sticky memory. "I guess we could wing it, and just come to Raken if we need help. He did practically raise amara, tristen and me." Slowly his mind was coming around to the idea. Twins. Or triplets. Or more. He didn't want to think about the 'more', no matter how much he was beginning to except the pregnancy.

"Yeah, he did do a lot for the three of you. I think the only thing we might have a problem with is maybe the part when I actually have the kids." she sighed, the one closest to her right kidney was starting to kick. "Come quick, this one is kicking.. Painfully." she added knowing it would be a special moment for him to touch the closest (not closest, but close est) part of his child for the first time.

slowly dameon reached out, putting a hand on her round stomach. An absolutely delighted expression appeared on his face as the little one kicked against his outstreached palm. "Beautiful..." he whispered, eyes full of awe "Absolutely beautiful."

She smiled, wincing slightly. There was more pain than usual when the babies kicked. And yet it seemed like she was only having the extra pain with every other kick, something had to be wrong here. ~I can't tell him about the pain... He'll get worried and I don't want that to happen... But it hurts worse than usual...~ she thought, a delimma going on in her head.

Smiling broadly, he looked up at her, his steel blue eyes going to her emerald green. Instantly the smile dropped. Her expression was pleasent enough but...her eyes... "Starry? Are you okay?" He scrambled up onto his feet.

"It's... it's nothing. It always hurts when they kick, it's just hurting slightly more right now is all." She said, not meaning to worry Dameon. After all what was a bit of pain compared to the joy of having kids? Not even moments after she spoke a sharp pain pounded through her sides, causing her to let out a gasp of pain. "okay... Maybe... there is... something... wrong" she grunted, rubbing her sides again.

eek eek eek "Wait! I think Raken once told me about...about this one book he had read. Um...uhhh...I think you're going into labor!...whatever that is." Shaking his head, he gently took her hand into his. "If you lay down, I can go run and try to find someone that can help. If not, just grab the book. We might have to just wing it." Gently he set her down and started running through the trees. Now....who could help?!
