Duhushi watched as Kiuma straightened herself out. he had seen adult lions before and she was frankly about the size of his mother. Though he was frightened he wouldn't let the pair break him away from his post.
"I never said that I could stop you but knowing that I can sure try is enough for me." His mouth had emptied faster than his mind could close it. He almost regretted it until Amleth came behind his and nipped his ear. Her words hurt him but only in the slightest.
"Amleth...just run. Go to the oasis as fast as your paws can take you." He looked to her. "Just know that I probably won't be joining you." There was a somber tone in his whisper so only she could hear it. If he stod up one more time then he probably wouldn't com back but with hope they wouldn't know where she had gone. When Duhushi finally turn ed he witnessed the massive male lion stride toward him. His own sea green eyes met the dark green of Tanaka's. He lifted his hurt paw feeling a jab of pain run through it.
He could have swiped or run but he didn't do either. The cub just spoke.
"What would you want with two cubs like us anyay? It would be more of a troule to you if you killed us rather than if we ran."
His voice was shaking as he addressed the other lion. Seeing the remains of something that seemed to be covered in feathers made his eyes go wide.
Wings?...

The bright red lioness laughed as Tanaka moved up beside her, her dark tuffed tail flicking. "Aw, Tanaka, isn't he just the cutest? He's trying to protect his companion..." She cooed with a sly smile. Flicking her red eyes to the white lion, she watched him pad towards the pair of cubs. Mmm... seemed he was feeling a bit malicious today. It'd be interesting to see what he tried with them, and how the impudent purple cub would react.

The hyena-ish cub's ears pinned back once more and she visibly quailed as Tanaka loomed over them. She stared up at him for a moment, frozen by fear, and then slowly nudged Duhushi again. "No!" She hissed. "I'm not leaving without you!" Amleth's gaze flicked nervously from Tanaka to Kiuma, and she gulped.
Steeling herself, she stood up and looked at the two larger lions, ears still folded back submissively. "...Please d-don't hurt him.." There was a pause, as the cub tried to think of ways to appeal to the better nature of the two lions. "We can help you!" She said finally, sounding unsure. "Um, Duhushi..he knows his way around the Graveyard... we can um.. we can help you get through it..." she added, trying on a hesitant smile.

The sound that rose in the white lion's throat was eerie, horrifying, demonic laughter echoing of the surface of the bones that surrounded them, amplified by the death in the air. A massive white paw came down hard, catching the brown cub's tail and pinning it to the dusty earth.
"Oh no, there will be no running away. That would be most unsporting of you, and there would be no fun in that."
Tanaka's posture was calm, but by no means relaxing, he had the air of a lion in complete control of the situation, but with an evil purpose. It was unnerving, terrifying the way he held himself, his fangs bared in a demonic grin, talons clicking as he flexed them.
"I assure you we can find our way just fine on our own. But if you wish to beg, go on, I'm listening."

Shivering where he stood, Toshiro crept out of the shadows. Behind him, a geiser went off, shrowding him in the eerie green mist. As he crept down the bones and stones, he kept his eyes on the large white lion, mindful of the fact that there were lions much smaller present. Particularly Duhushi.. With as nimble a leap as he could pull off, he jumped off a low ledge, starting towards the other lions. Curiosity kept him silent for the time being, wondering if either of the cubs would ask the names of the visitors to the Graveyard.

Duhushi growled softly when Tanaka came down on Amleths tail. His hackles rose. True anger brewed in his stomach for the first time.
"Leave her be." His voice was more demanding than anything. It probably wouldn't do anything but he was one of principal and not one of purpose. Another scent crossed his nose and he turned towards the smell but only saw the green of the geisers. His mind wondered if this was an ambush of some sort. Seeing Amleth like this he couldn't say no to anything te two said and decided with a heavy heart to bargain.
"If you don't want any trouble or you don't want to un into any hyenas then I suggest that you follow us. In return you will give us your names if you decide to follow." He motioned to Amleth before speaking again. "Please. Just don't hurt her..."

"It's rather rude to demand names when you don't give any yourself, Runt." The erupting of a geyser made her skin itch as she longed to whirl and startle. But no, not infront of these impudent scamps. So while her hackles rose down her spine, she kept her eyes on cubs and settled back on her hanches. The bones of her first kill clicked around her neck as she smirked, flicking her tail.
"Nothing in this graveyard would bother two grown lions like us, short of an entire pack of hyenas. We don't need you in the slightest. But, as a token of good will, I'll give you my name. Kiuma, and just as it says, I'll be your pain if you cross me." A dark chuckle escaped her as she turned her head, subtly glancing back to find the source of a soft sound behind them.

Amleth yelped and whirled around as the geiser errupted. She'd seen it happen before, but that didn't mean it had stopped surprising her... and besides, in her current state, most sudden movements and noises were scary. All of them, in fact.
Tanaka's horrible laughter rang in her ears and she flattened herself to the grimy dirt and covered her face with her dark paws. She felt the fallen god's paw holding her down and merely whimpered softly, eyes closed tight behind her paws, as if trying to make it all go away. She didn't understand why the larger lions were being so mean to her! She was only going about her own business!
The hyena-marked cub didn't move from her position, flat to the ground as if trying to sink into it. She only vaguely heard Duhushi's words and pleas. She heard Kiuma give her name and expound on its meaning. Slowly Amleth moved her paws down, risking a frightened look up. No words came to her. If the white demon-lion and his friend wanted to kill her, there wasn't anything she could do to stop them. She settled for laying very still, tail curled protectively around her body.

One dark ear flicked at the nearby sound, though it wasn't the geyser that had caught his ear, it was the faint sound of paw steps. He gave no other indication that he had noticed, and from his posture he didn't seem too concerned, in fact it seemed he had merely dismissed it with nothing but a flick of his tail.
"Begging and threatening in the same breath...no, I'm afraid I can't tolerate that."
Smirking at the terrified reactions of the brown cub, Tanaka turned his attention to Duhushi. Taking a step toward the purple cub, the lion's eyes narrowed, talons tearing into the earth, his jaws parted in a vampiric snarl.
"I assure you, hyenas are the least of your worries."
White paw surged forward, dark talons slashing at the purple cub. It was time he learned respect, and he'd learn that by Tanaka's talons. If the cub was lucky, that was all he'd get.

Duhushi gulped as the Tanaka came forward. Amleth was nearly forgotten in his fear but he couldn't step away from her. He could have begged. He should have begged but he didn't though he wished he had when the fallen gods claws conneted.
Duhushi hissed in pain as he stumbled backward from the force of the blow. The purple cub didn't want to apologize and didn't think he had to even after something so painful. For the first time he tasted the sweet yet coppery taste of unwanted blood. He felt a it begin to dribble over his eyes and off his dark nose. He felt a small tear resting just at his lips and felta gash just above his eyes and maybe just below it as well. Another wound followed the brim of his muzzle. If he was anything he was angry at the male for marring his perfect pelt. Blood would be something that he couldn't wash away and the scars would be worse no doubt. A paw slowly ran along his nose. The blood upon it sent rage through him.
"Does that make you feel important? Picking on others especially cubs like us?"
He was still taken slightly aback by the blow and probably wasn't thinking straight but he knew what needed to be said. Duhushi knew that it probably wasn't the case but maybe they would go after him instead of Amleth for saying it.

Picking on cubs? Both ears flattened back. One thing Toshiro didn't enjoy seeing was someone, especially an ADULT, picking on a cub. He stepped through the glowing mist of a geiser, eyes seeming to glow with the eerie light around him. "Hey! Pick on someone your OWN size. A cub can't do much more harm than words."

Kiuma rose in a fluid motion and stalked to put herself between Tanaka and the new commer. "When you say that, do you mean you? Because we'll gladly turn our attention to you after these cubs have learned a little respect for their elders." She eyed the male up and down, her red eyes steady and a smirk on her face. "You have no idea who you're messing with, cub."

Amleth's crimson eyes widened as Tanaka paw connected heavily with Duhushi's face. Letting out a yelp that she didn't think to smother, the greyish cub surged forward towards her friend. "Duhushi!" she exclaimed with worry, ears folded back nervously. "Are you...okay?" she draped a small paw over his back, pulling him closer so she could clean the deep marks along his face gently. Now she was angry... what right did that brute have to hit her friend? He might have a big mouth, but he was just a cub... they were both just cubs. She smothered her anger and continued cleaning, pausing to look up as Toshiro spoke. Her eyes widened further. She'd never seen so many lions in the graveyard before! He moved like he knew his way around...perhaps he belonged to Duhushi's pride... Maybe whe could get help! Afraid to speak to either of the large, menacing lions, Amleth dipped her head again to lick the last of the blood from Duhushi'd wounds. She looked at them sadly... they were quite deep. Letting out a concerned sort of whine, she nudged his head gently with hers. He'd be okay...she hoped.

A wicked grin crossed the great lion's maw, a demonic fire in his eye as the scent of freshly spilt blood filled his nose. It was that instant, that look of pure terror in the purple cub's eyes the moment before his talons connected, it was glorious and the demon revelled in it.
But he was still so defiant, even after that, how interesting, broken and terrified, yes still willing to stand against one who could so easily kill him in a single strike, Tanaka liked that, perhaps this cub could prove useful afterall.
"I assure you it's purely for pleasure. Though I could always eat you and end it now."
Dark ears flicked, golden tufted tail flicking behind him, he barely acknowledged the interuption, didn't bother to turn around, but only glanced at the dark adolescent over his shoulder.
"This is no concern of yours runt, leave now before we kill you as well."
His attention back on the purple cub, he snarled at the brown one who was now at the other's side. Reaching out with his paw he seized the cub by the scruff of her neck and pulled her away from the other.
"I don't recall giving you permission to move."
He smirked demonically as he glared at the cub. Her reactions were wonderful, intoxicating, filled with the terror that he so loved to inflict. Their visit here was proving far more enteraining than the time they had spent in the mistweaver lands.

Green eyes narrowed as the male stalked around the two adults. "It IS a concern of mine, because you are causing harm to members of my pride and trespassing into territory that belongs to the Maziko pride! And I am NOT a cub, you sore of the land. The way you two act, YOU'RE the cubs." Indeed, pissing gods off ran in the blood, for like his mother before him... He knew not that he was speaking so illy to a god. "You must feel pretty insignificant if you feel the need to assert your power ofer something much smaller than you." With the ease and grace born to the Graveyarder, Toshi climbed up a bone pile, sitting down and staring at them. "Let the purple prince and his friend go. Now."
