I'll try my best to do this ^_^'' Art: Shorinji Kempo Component arts: borrows from a lot of arts such as judo Principles: defeating opponents without causing permanent harm, using nerve and pressure points, using opponents strength against them, combines hard technique (punches, kicks) with soft (throws, pins). Also focuses on a persons inner strength and winning a fight by making the opponent lose the will to continue it. This doesnt really do the art justice, theres more to it that i wont put in what should b a short summary. I have some videos though! http://youtube.com/watch?v=sD3lJj0aP40-me and sister doing embu last year http://youtube.com/watch?v=LIgB5IpyN_I-my sensei and his wife, showing that size doesnt matter biggrin

Miyamaryu Jujutsu.
Perpose: End an attack with minimum energy.
History: Shinan Parera took formal japanese jujutsu in japan. He moved to america. He tried to teach it as a formal style in the bronx. He failed. He applied formal jujutsu techniques to real life attack scenarios and developed a system to teach it as such. He succeded. He brought Japanese Jujutsu to a new continent and time. (Worked well in the Bronx) Many schools of jujutsu in japan awarded him the title Shinan"Originater of a new idea or evolution"including the ones he studied at.(great honor Kano and Ueshiba also held this title)
Principles of a techinque: 1.Body Movement: evasion of attack or placement of body to lessen the attack's intended effect. 2. Escaping Action: block or evaion intended attack. 3.Distraction: Hit them, strike them, yell in their ear, give them a reason for recovery or pause. 4.Major Technique: Throws, standing joint dislocations, wrist techniques, strangulations so on so forth to hault further agression in the attack and place them on the ground. 5.Ground Strike:They are on the ground good keep em there kick em in the head to allow follow up or to leave them maimed unconsious or dazed. 6.Ground Control or Dislocation: Still scared for your life or further agression break their wrist arm shoulder leg neck back.
Defining Principles: 1. Your life is most sacred to you defend it with every means possible. 2. You were given diffinitive right to stop an individual or incident the second an act of agression threatened you with bodily harm by law. 3. Don't stop till you are positive that the attacker/s no longer pose a threat to your safety or of those around you. 4. Kenetic memory (making a motion as enstinctual) through repitition. 5. Weapons can be confiscated Memory can't.

Art Name: American Kenpo Karate.
Principles:
1. I come to you with only Karate, my empty hands. Should I be forced to defend myself, my principles or my honor, should it be a matter of life or death, of right or wrong, then here are my weapons: Karate, my empty hands.
2. Modesty, courtesy, self-control, perseverance, and indomitable spirit.
History:
American Kenpo is an offspring of William Chow's Chinese Kenpo Karate. Ed Parker was a student under Chow, took what he taught him, and reoganized everything, adding to it himself, to come up with the structure for American Kenpo Karate.
