"You're my friend? Does that give you some clue?" Aruna rolled her eyes, knowing he wouldn't see. "I care because I care for all my friends, you dope." She blinked when he confessed a trivial thing such as that, but said nothing to comment on it. "...If you're that tired," she said quietly, "...go ahead and sleep. I'll be here when you wake up." There was nothing else she could do, at any rate. "You've exhausted yourself, Rahu. Just go to sleep." She smiled, and began to hum an old lullaby of her mother's softly.

Rahu did know why he had said what he did earlier. Maybe it was because he was tired; he had no emotional guard up. He did not bother saying anything to her first comment, but the snorted at her next comment but still said nothing. Listening to her him an old lullaby, it caused him to become sleepier. Blinking his eyes a few times to fight back at falling asleep, it was no use and after a few moments he fell into a deep sleep. And even though Aruna had said she would be there when he woke, he figured she would be long gone by then.

Now that he had finally fallen asleep, Aruna ended her humming gently, and then fell quiet, watching him. Huh, she thought wryly, he's a lot friendlier looking in his sleep than when he's awake. The afternoon sun was warm, and she was feeling comfortable, almost to the point of falling asleep herself. She needed to do something to stay awake. She had to keep her promise, after all; she said she would be here when he woke, and so she would stay. To stay awake, she started to hum again, though, this time it was a song her bonded had sung, a pretty song from a friend Miakoda used to know.

As the hours rolled by, Aruna dozed a bit as random thoughts entered her head. When Rahu spoke, she nearly jumped. Somewhat startled to being wide awake now, she blinked to clear her eyes. "Awake and kicking, are we?" she asked, half-smirking. "That's good to see. Of course there're better things for me to do than to watch you sleep. However, you're my friend, and I can do as I wish." She stood, shaking herself slightly to get her legs awake as she walked around in a small circle. "Now, why did you exhaust yourself like that? Anyone with a sane mind wouldn't do that, and I know you're sane. Or did you go insane while I was out wandering around?"

"Tch, figured you were back to yourself," Aruna snorted softly as she stopped walking. "I didn't fall asleep while I was watching you. I was merely dozing." She decided she would be better off being brutally honest about things with him. "Fine, then, you don't have to tell me. Sheesh, secrets, secrets!" She had learned to hate them, especially after that last ordeal that she had gone through with all the hidden feelings, she despised hiding things unless they were of upmost importance or she had promised to keep quiet about them. "What have you been up to lately? I've been around, making new... better... friends." She had emphasized "better" but had mutter it under her breath. She hoped he was too occupied by being back to himself to notice.

Aruna chuckled, though the tone was dry, sarcastic, as she watching walk. "So? I'm still a friend in my own way. You'd be surprised. You, and Wyvern, are my first friends, I suppose, so that makes you two the closest and the ones who know me best. I think." She rolled her eyes mentally, even as her expression never changed. "Of course earlier was a fluke. I could hardly believe it to be you. I mean, c'mon--the Rahu I know would have just snapped and kicked and say, 'screw off, nitwit', before smirking and appearing all superior." Okay, Rahu didn't really do that, but that was her impression, and it still was him in a nutshell. She laughed quietly, but dryly. It felt good to be back to herself.

"Oh, right. Forgive me. You would merely glare then walk off in a huff. Like that's not childish! Anyhow, if you did say something, it'd probably be, 'leave me alone, b*****d, my business if my business so screw off'. Or at least, that's what the main line is here, when we usually see each other and... 'talk'... I suppose." She was enjoying this. She was having fun; it was about time she found a good arguement. It had been far too long since her last good verbal fight.

"I hardly know you at all." She smirked. "Why, if I did, I wouldn't even come ten feet near you! What makes you think you know me? Ha!" She trailed behind as he walked, following him merely to annoy him. She didn't understand why she was like this all of a sudden--seriously, she was feeling playful... was her mother's gene finally kicking in? How odd...--and so she continued to think of things--sometimes random things--as she trotted slowly next to the dark stallion. When he stopped, she stopped and turned to look at him. "What's up?" All he did was shake his head, and keep moving. So, she followed again.

"At least you've gotten amusing instead of annoying," Aruna said, smirking to keep from laughing. He truly had. He, instead of being annoying to her, had gotten very amusing. "I guess you're right. But then again, how would I know if you knew me well or not? If you think you know me well, then you know me well. It really just depends on the mind." She walked around randomly, for nothing could faze her now. Not even the supposedly cold-hearted Rahu.
