Jadeira watched queitly as the strange man leapt out of the window, and grumbled to herself. The man was a danger to himself and everyone around him, sighing she vaulted out of the window, and on to a drain pipe, she gripped it with one hand, and propelled herself to the ground. Normally she would have just leapt, but there were many servants around, and it unnerved to poor souls when she randomly decided to chance a drop of over a hundred feet. She tracked him to the tall gates under cover of shadow. But as he knelt to rummage through his stuff, she moved out of the shadows, and approached him confidently. " You know, the doorways are usually a much more conventional way to get out of my palace, and If you had tried to leave these grounds by climbing the wall, I can only assume that was your plan, but anyways, You would have been shot on sight. This kingdom isn't so safe that my guards can afford to allow passage in and out during all hour, and they get jumpy at night." She grinned sardonically. "Im rather bored tonight, If you don't mind me coming with you, I will order the gates open, and you may gallavant all you want."

Well seeing that I probally have no choice you may come with me but i would greatly appreciate it if you would listen to what i say. Walking through the gate Jadeira and Kado came to the inn that kado was staying at earlier and he went in to the room he had rented and picked up some things he left there. and than after exiting the building he began walking for the country with Jadeira right on his heels. Coming to the woods he whistled and than with a wooshig sound a falcon landed on his shoulder and he removed a peice or parchment from its foot and wrote something on it and put it back on its foot and threw it into the air and with a high scream it flew of into the night.

She sighed, Kado truly was a..unique individual, She pondered as she trailed him all across the whole bloody village. When they passed the dark temple a shiver ran up her spine, and she shivered. "Could you hold on a second please?" Without waiting for an answer she drew her sword, and edged towards the entrance. The tall building loomed above her like a predator, and she could feel her heart beating in her throat. When they first passed it she had assumed that the dark splotch in the doorway wasw merely a shred of errant shadow, but they had been upwind then. As they passed it for the second time, her sensitive nose had caught an all to familiar scent on the breeze. It was as she feared. Blood stained the flagstoned around the entryway. It was still damp, she noticed, And as she slowly raised her head to look inside she caught sight of a crumpled form lying on the altar of the temple. "Dammit!" She muttered, and rushed towards the alter, only to trip over another form. Invisible from her previous angle, she could now barely make out the features of the mans face, although his captains badge glimmered in the moonlight, shouting out his identity for him. Her stomach lurched sickeningly. His face was pale and drawn, the blood on the floor was his, a gaping whole in his chest proclaimed the cause of his death. laborously, she pulled herself to her feet, and gazed at the young woman on the altar. No older than 17, she decided grimly, as she brushed her hair out of her face. The city would be in chaos tomarrow. This was the tax collectors daughter. Meredith.

Kado looked over at the temple and saw a person behind a pillar slipping away, so he did the only thing he knew to do at the time and he pulled free his sword and started at the shadowy figure and it began dissapate as he ran at it and his weapon caught nothing but air and looking around he sheathed his weapong and walked to the temple door and looked in and was hit by a stench of blood.

She breathed deeply, in an attempt to calm her shattered nerves, out of the corner of her eye, she saw Kado lunge towards something out of her field of vision, sword in hand. She should go outside and help, but her head was spinning, She hefted the girls body off of the altar, and effortlessly layed her on one of the floor mats off in a side room. If she didn't know any better she would have assumed her sleeping, but the sharp cold of death clung to her arms, even as she set Meredith down. Returning to the main room, she knelt by the captains body and shuddered again, his wide sightless eyes had a look of uttmost terror that chilled her blood. She gently closed his lids with her fingers, and used her cloak to cover his body. There was nothing she could do about the blood. It stained the knees of her breeches, and her hands were soaked. "Kado.... What did you see?"

"It was a Lirk, its a demon that is capable of tremendous damage i've only seen them twice and they arent pleasent to fight no type of magic that I have seen has been able to harm them only slow them a little but never harm." sighing he took a deep breath and went on, "They do however have certin abilities that are also as terrifying as there physical attacks, they were mainly used so I hear during ancient times to dramatically decrease or annhilate enemies and there is only one way to control that and that is with the stone of antelique."

She nodded solomnly, "This is no ordinary murderer than. Its one with power." Her mouth was set in a grim line, as she scrubbed the gore off her fingers with a hankerchief. " A lirk hm? I should have heard of something like that during my studies, but strangely it doesn't ring a bell." She returned to his side and pointed at the temple. " every other day for the last month a body has been found on that altar. Dead, but with no blood or abraisions whatsoever. Normally there's been some damage to the tissue, or immune system just from germs and the like, but these women are as healthy and flawless as newborns. They don't even have scar tissue. Thats the captain of my guard there, on the floor. He must've been murdered around the same time as Meredith, although I can't say when that was....What sort of powers does that Lurk have?"

The shadowy figure watched with contempt from the doorway, as the queen and her companion moved about in the temple, single handily ruining her handy-work... No one had even seen the body on the alter save for Jadeira, she pouted. Eyes flashing angrily, she swept into the temple silently, and unsheathed her dagger. Well if the lovely Meredith's body would not raise a stir, then the Queens body lying upon the altar come morning would certaintly catch everyone's attention... And there would be no more meddling on her part. She grinned evily, and sidled towards her prey...i][

The darkness melted away, as the moon reached its zenith, and illuminated the chamber through the open roof in the temple. The face of their attacker became clear, yelping, she stumbled back, and tripped over her own feet. She scramble to the back wall, And stood up, Dagger in hand, she hadn't thought to bring her swords, or bow. Cursing her stupidity, she made a few quick slashes through the air, and nodded, satisfied. At least her weapon was sharp, it would cleave through armor easily, though not chain mail. But it didn't look as though the murderer was wearing any armor under that cloak anyways. She moved to quickly. "Kado, get away from her, thats no ordinary woman!" Her heart fluttered rapidly, even from this distance, she could see blood smeared across the womans blade, and hand. It was fresh. Kado appeared unharmed, but... A steady throb peirced her concentration, and she gazed with horrer at her abdomen, blood soaked her garment. Well, at least it wasn't a belly cut, and it wasn't even in the vacinity of her intestinal tract. If this fight was over quickly, she could get out before she lost to much blood, already it was trickling warmly down her leg.
