nemesiss
to be precise:

officially DDR DID had the first handplant, though it was just a glitch.
its on the song Ulh la la la - Alexia, on DDR 1.5
in those days, people placed handplants as a part of freestyling, an art which had almost been lost, till ITG incorporated them back in the game.
true that PIU was there before ITG, but most have NEVER SEEN or even PLAYED PIU.

According to my sources, that song appeared on Dancing Stage 1.5 (lol Europe), not Dance Dance Revolution 1.5, and DDR's Edit Mode does not allow hands for freestyle or tech purposes. In addition, ITG did not implement them for Freestyle purposes, as seen with such charts as Dawn Expert and Queen of Light Expert. They are there as arrows to hit with your hand.

The arcade communities in Portland are really nice, actually.

The less experienced players aren't stupid n00bs, and the more experienced players never harrass the newer players.

People around here are quick to admire, and very understanding.

I want to make a point of never becoming a DDR a*****e. 3nodding

I saw some new people at the arcade. I just wanted to play one game and then leave, but noooo, they had to play 3 sets and ignore the coin line. I think the best of the new ones came close to AAing paranoia kcet, which is easy. I think he was trying to impress us (my friend and I)... >_> AND HE SCOFFED AT ME WHEN I PICKED LIGHT MODE XD and then i picked HVAM and chose my options.. 1x flat shuffle heavy and AA'd it no bar. I just laughed...

Not all people at arcades are assholes. I went to an arcade to play and a girls freind left her there while she was playing DDR. She let me join her for free.

I'm too shy to go up and talk to people unless I'm telling them off for being assholes.
Partly because I never go to the arcade, and thus I have no idea what sort of stuff to say. xp

Well how would you start a normal conversation with somebody?

I'd say, "Hi, I'm crazy, I don't know you," unless I knew the person, then I'd say, "[insert name of person], you [impolite name], how've you been?"
