Fiddlers Green ~waits with baited breath~ eek I figure the id cards can also be printed and worn at the modicon? I made a good sensible start on the code base, it's gonna use true type fonts so if anyone can suggest a good Gaiaonline-esque one, feel free. If anyone wants to draw a nice background for it in .png format, feel free. My artistic abilities are such that I am unable to, with a pen and a ruler, draw a straight line.

Okay, so how customizable will these be? Can we add any sort of text? Will there be a series of layouts to choose from?

The progress, due to my religious adherence to MVCOOAD patterns, is quite good but quite intangible.
I have the neccessary libraries installed from both an admin side (ImageMagick) and the PHP side (the ImageMagick libraries).
I have the neccessary database model set up.
I have begun writing the Data Access Objects (DAOs) and Data Transfer Objects (DTOs) neccessary to do the business
I have some quick and dirty hacks being proccessed in parrallel.
so in short, lots of progress but no visible results. That's the way with software design alas.

Anyone could set up a "missmagpie" id card. I can delete them at request and set them up manually, but that's way too much hassle to do as the workings of the system. I'll handle the mishaps as they occur. I can't impliment a system which will know that you are who you say you are. I'll be offering the system to Gaia when it's complete and we've all benefited from it, I figure it's a nice touch for guilds.
