Hmm.. I like a lot of metal. Lately I've been listening to a lot of power metal, like Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Demons & Wizards. Technical death, Nile and Necrophagist. Thrash, Nevermore and Bodom. Just a mix of things. Fun stuff. Opeth beats all though. heart As for types of metal: Click here

ShiningSoulAngel i like blakc metal...liek venom...or cradle of filth..or.....temple.....hmmm..which 1 u guys like? domokun i just have to mention that just because venom made a song called black metal, and in fact made the term black metal, doesn't make them black metal. They have some dark lyrics but alot of their stuff is a joke, more thrash I'd have to say personally I love power metal-Hammerfall, Dream Evil, Iced Earth Viking Metal- Wintersun, Ensiferum Black Metal- Bathory, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth and Thrash- Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer yeah a bunch of other stuff to

seeing as how you didnt have power metal, i had to vote black.
power metal is so much better though.
Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, HammerFall, Helloween, Iced Earth, etc.

POWER METAL POWER METAL POWER METAL. I love almost every band that has even attempted this genre. I just love the way it sounds. I just want to get up and hit something or run around in circles, or jump off of my apartment complex when I start listening to power metal, (dragon force especially)

real black metal - not that CoF crap.
enslaved, satyricon, mayhem, gorgoroth, etc.
also love the precursors, such as venom, mercyful fate, celtic frost.
also like the symphonic stuff like dimmu borgir, and death metal bands like cryptopsy, nile, morbid angel
and of course, speed/thrash bands like slayer and kreator

All genres of METAL. NO hardcore or screamo. I do not know what grindcore is, therfore I do not know if I like it. In order:
Power Metal
(way higher than others)
Progressive
NWOBHM
Speed Metal
Thrash
Black Metal
Hair/Glam Metal
Metalcore
Death Metal
Goth Metal
I don't know a lot about Folk, Viking or anything like that. I also Don't know a lot about Doom, so I left those off.

Band wise, I like everything from old Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, At the Gates, Edge of Sanity, The Black Dahlia Murder, Slayer, Suffocation, Nile, Soilwork, Pantera, Down, Crowbar, Carcass, Morbid Angel, etc. to bands like Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Mayhem, Gorgoth, Hatebreed, Terror, Throwdown, Lamb of God...
