Jurori Songwind The Y&K version can be bought on amazon for about 16 bucks new, and 12 bucks used. I'm definitely going to buy it; the songs are catchy. It just... amuses me more than a Phantom story should. Though the ending is just... weird. And Phil scares me. ^^; Woah Phillipe appears!? o.o I heart Phillipe! He's the superior, hotter version of Raoul xd I wanna see the version Michael Crawford talks about on his "In Concert" CD I love that anecdote! whee heart XD He like, watched this one movie for like six months under the impression that Andy wanted him to play Raoul.. so then on the first day or something he went like: MC: *strikes a dashing pose* So Andrew, I see you've found your young.. dashing, handsome Raoul. wink ALW: Yes ^_^ MC: What? eek ALW: Yes! ^_^ We hired him last week! We want you to play the Phantom! ^_____^ MC: You mean.. the ugly.. old...? D''8 So awesome...

Quote: Woah Phillipe appears!? o.o I heart Phillipe! He's the superior, hotter version of Raoul Actually, he takes the place of Raoul in this play. He strikes me as more of a creep in this version, which saddens me because I loved him in the original novel. Which makes no sense as he has maybe two sentences written about him in the entire book, but that's okay.

And I just remembered I saw a snippet of a Phantom movie or somethng on one of my bro's old "MST3K" tapes.. it was really weird.. Like.. the phantom had a full faced mask and it was like, goldish/bronze and stuff.. it was kinda weird... o.o; Not ALW's version, whatever it was.

I heard something about a very bizarre 80s music video about the Phantom of the Opera, but I have yet to find it. I heard it was... erm, for lack of a better word, special. I know, they KILLED him! And he was cool; he made fun of Raoul in his mind for tearing his gloves in his excitement. Phillipe deserves more spotlight time. *Plots a fanfic about him*

Phillipe=Hot Raoul=Fop
xd Seriously, if Raoul was an only child, there would be no way he and Christine could get married. He'd marry some earl's daughter or something of that sort.

I watched a REALLY bad version, though I can't remember who did it. It started off very close to the book, except the "Persian" was a yiddish man pretending to be an insurance man. sweatdrop He was also a complete idiot. All the characters were blown from their personalities... Erik was not Erik. In this version, ERIK was a fop.

peekadora Youko-chan I saw the movie thing that was based on Kopit's play. is the Charles Dance version the movie you're talking about? does it have the songs from Kopit's play? and any clue where a new or used copy of it could be found? Yeah, it is. I got my copy of amazon. It's great, if you remember to turn the korean subtitles off (dialouge is in english, don't worry)

Kira the wanderer I watched a REALLY bad version, though I can't remember who did it. All the characters were blown from their personalities... Erik was not Erik. In this version, ERIK was a fop. Ahaha, the David Staller Phantom! I personally adored that version simply because it was the most hysterical, cheapest knock-off the Andrew Lloyd Webber film. Plus, it's one of the very, very few versions that actually features the Persian and gives Raoul equal screen time. Ah, David Staller, the Playboy Phantom looking down into Carlotta's bosom and already hunting for another woman before the end of the play. Though, that man has skills. Did you see Andrew Lloyd Webber's Erik getting Christine into a horizontal position before the end of Music of the Night? I didn't think so. It cracked me up, personally. It's one of my favorites. I've even written fanfic for it.
